  1. I've been using PS Vue for about a year and a half. It has gotten progressively better and it has almost all the channels I want. I wish they would add A&E and History, but other than that, everything is working well. The DVR is fantastic. ABC is the last local that I'm waiting on, but that should get added soon. I read they signed the contract a couple weeks ago, but it takes time to get added. Cost varies but I have their top package with no premium channels and pay $55 per month. I was paying around $150 per month for Dish before I canceled.

  2. What is everyone’s thoughts about the CEO mentioning an accelerated traditional rollout for all of next year ? What do you guys think it means ? Just focus on densification in cities or do you think it’s some actual LTE expansion into new areas to compete with Verizon and AT&T?

    Hopefully both.

  3. Nope this is the first in a while.
Don't see any evidence of Calling Plus.
Anyone else having issues when the S7 is on a Magic Box?  I use one at work and texts/calls do not come through when it is on the Magic Box.  I know when you call out it ends up using a nearby tower vs the MB.
Only data goes through a Magic Box so calls would have to go through a tower until the S7 gets calling plus.

  4. Anyone know any of Shentel's cellular technicians in the Woodstock, VA area? The tower near my house in Woodstock has a dead B26 carrier just on one sector. I have reported it a couple times in the Sprint app, but a week later and it's still not working. My phone will connect to it, but no data will go through. I really just think Sprint hasn't told Shentel. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

  5. It looks like the update from a few weeks ago was just a precursor. I just downloaded a new update yesterday, Android 7.1.1. So far, it looks pretty good, and maybe seems just a little faster than 6.0. The only thing I wish it had is a built in blue light filter. All the Samsung phone builds have had that in Android 7, but for some reason, they decided to omit it from the Tab E build. One nice feature is they finally put in a quick access button on the drop down for the hotspot. It's so much faster than having to dig through the settings just to turn the hotspot on.

I actually had my phone tell me yesterday that I hadn't restarted in 7 days! I can't believe it's gone that long for me. I'm usually every couple of days out of habit now, but the phone has been better for me and my needs I guess since I hadn't restarted.

What continues to be a frustration for me and the S8+ is the clarity of the pictures (Samsung over-processing the images on the software side) and second, I now get a 4-5 second delay after hitting the "record" button in the Camera app to the video actually recording. The second or third video will start right away, but then it'll lag again for 4-5 seconds. Drives me bonkers. When trying to capture things my kids do, those 4-5 seconds make all the difference.

Any chance you are using an older or slower SD card to save your recorded video?  If you are, try recording video to device storage and see if that makes a difference.

Hey just wondering how often or under what circumstances (driving, home, etc.) are people using Calling Plus?

I usually just leave mine on all the time. It does seem to break up every once and a while, especially during the evening hours when network usage is typically high, so if I'm making an important call or expecting an important call (especially during evening hours), I usually just turn it off. I think this will be solved once Sprint implements true VoLTE, where voice calls get priority. Until then, it's nice, but needs some improvement to be as good as 1x calling.  (Of course, what I said above is when connected to LTE, not Wifi.)

It's definitely a good first step and it sure is nice to be able to look stuff up online while on a phone call. I've taken advantage of that numerous times.

I installed the Call Plus on my Gal S8+  early last week and found within a few days that my battery just didn't last even a half day!  I've  been used to it lasting the full day with moderate use and almost two days with low use.

So, given that I had battery issues back with my Note 4 when I kept the WiFi on all the time, I turned off the WiFi portion of Call Plus and suddenly I've got more out of my battery.  Makes sense.  But still being frustrated by not having a full day of usage yesterday I've turned off that feature entirely.

I like the idea, but am unwilling to take the hit too my usage.  The calls were clear, but certainly not worth the hassle.

I have not seen any issues with battery life since turning on calling plus. I'm not saying it's not possible that you could be having problems, but also consider that it could be something else as well.

  9. I just updated my Tab E today to the newest build. It's been since late last year that it got an update, so at least they still are updating the security of it. Did you notice anything else different? It was over 300MB, so I would think that would include something other than security, but I haven't noticed anything else different.

  10. My S8+ just had a bunch of updates come through from the Galaxy App Store. Updates included: TouchWiz, phone dialer, edge screen, and the clock. There were other updates too, I just don't use those apps so I didn't update them.

  11. This past Saturday night I went to TGI Fridays in Park City Mall in Lancaster, and I saw that my SignalCheck Pro was reporting that I was connected to B41MM which I've never seen before. I ran a quick speed test and got these results, by FAR the best speeds I've gotten in South Central PA.

That's a mini macro setup. It appears 2xCA is running on it. The limitation is that it won't be able or do 3xCA like the 8T8R setup.
