  1. I've been playing with the integration for the past hour or so. I like the voice part of it. Being able to forward my voice calls to my work cell is nice. I'm not convinced that I like the text message part of it. I had been using Google Messenger for my sms msgs, keeping them separate from Hangouts. Is there any way to still do this? It seems Hangouts wants to take over all messaging after I did the integration. Maybe I just missed something. Sent from my Note 4.
  2. Go to about device, status, scroll to the bottom. It will tell you how long since your last restart. Just keep in mind, that time doesn't reset after the phone was last charged. It only resets when you restart the phone. Sent from my Note 4.
  3. Android versions can be skipped. Google just announced 5.1 today so hopefully we'll get that update whenever Samsung gets around to update it. I have the Note 4 and S4T (work phone) so hopefully they'll both get it sooner than later. Sent from my Note 4.
  4. I was in Lynchburg, VA the past two days in ntelos territory instead of Shentel territory where I live. Even with 3G struggling to keep up with a large crowd there, I didn't seem to notice any additional drain than usual. Sent from my Note 4.
  5. It always makes me wonder if people just think the battery drain is more after an update since they're probably just playing with the phone more to figure out the new features. Sent from my Note 4.
  6. Yes, I am very impressed with smart lock. I wish they had that feature put in long ago. Sent from my Note 4.
  7. Mike, I think I posted this in the Note 4 thread already but after the Lollipop update, SCP still seems to be working fine on Sprint's version of the Note 4. Sent from my Note 4.
  8. Go into where each app has its settings and make sure the privacy setting isn't turned on for the sms app. Edit: It's in the sounds and notification area too. Sent from my Note 4.
  9. Go to sounds & notifications, look for "while locked," make sure "show all content" is selected. Sent from my Note 4.
  10. I did too but once I restarted it went away. Sent from my Note 4.
  11. It appears signal check pro still works. That's good news. Sent from my Note 4.
  12. Just got mine up and running. Looks pretty good so far. Sent from my Note 4.
  13. Maybe 300 yards then it switches to a macro site. Sent from my Note 4.
  14. Is this any better? I took it using my Note 4 through a pair of binoculars. Edit: It lost a little quality on the upload but the ID on the panel is WA14SH907. Sent from my Note 4.
  15. The one in Toms Brook has been up for a few months. The one in Woodstock I just spotted about a month ago. Had I known these are the first known to exist anywhere, I would have posted sooner. Robert already changed the one in the map to 3G/4G in a message I sent him a while back. Is there any way to add this new one to the map as 4G only?
  16. http://s4gru.com/index.php?/topic/842-network-visionlte-shentel-market-shenandoah-valleyhagerstownharrisburg/?p=406515 http://s4gru.com/index.php?/topic/842-network-visionlte-shentel-market-shenandoah-valleyhagerstownharrisburg/?p=406520 Spotted these 2 pico cell deployments in the Shentel Market. One has just two B25 antennas, the other, also has a CDMA omnidirectional antenna on top of the pole. I'm going to try to get a couple more pics when I have a chance. Are these the first to be seen in the "wild"?
  17. This is a pic of the other small cell in Toms Brook, VA. In addition to the B25 only panels, this one has an omni-directional CDMA antenna broadcasting 1x and EVDO. Sent from my Note 4.
  18. Finally got a pic of the small cell I referenced above in Woodstock, VA. It appears it is B25 only. I could not pick up 1x or EVDO from it at all. Sent from my Note 4.
  19. Charlottesville is probably worse. It's full of tree hugging leftists. I'm sure the requirements will be even more strict than Albemarle Co. Sent from my Note 4.
  20. I would rather it be done right than rushed out. New versions are nice but Kit Kat is running just fine for me. It doesn't really seem like there's much new in Lollipop, other than switching to Art. Sent from my Note 4.
  21. I should've taken a pic but someone was with me in the car and I didn't want to seem too completely weird. I'll try to get one soon and post it. Edit: By the way, look at my profile pic. That is of a small omni-directional CDMA antenna I found in Toms Brook, VA. They have since added small cell B25 antennas (one facing north and one facing south down Route 11). I haven't gotten a new pic of that either, but the B25 antennas are the same as the one I just found in Woodstock at CHS. They are very small antennas mounted to a telephone pole in both instances.
  22. I don't think I posted it here yet, but I found another small cell located across the street from Central High School in Woodstock, VA. It's about 100 yards northeast of the intersection of Susan Ave and Falcon Dr. It appears it's only broadcasting B25. I can't seem to get CDMA on it but I'll have to go back again sometime to check it again. I only had a couple minutes the last time I was there. I'll try to get it with coordinates when I go back so it can be added to the map. This is the second setup I found near a school. The other is actually on top of Stonewall Jackson HS (near Mt Jackson, VA). That one has been on the map for a while and it's CDMA only, as far as I can tell. I'm wondering if Shentel may keep adding more of these near schools, since schools are infamous for horrible service thanks to a lot of brick, block, and concrete. Has anyone else found any of these yet?
  23. Sprint uses an offset address for some reason. Just look at your signal (in SCP) and whenever you get a really strong signal, you will be right near the tower. That's probably the best you can do. Sent from my Note 4.
  24. My wife had an upgrade come available on 2/1/15 and it is still showing with that date. We are waiting for the S6 to become available in April before using the upgrade. Sent from my Note 4.
  25. I'm headed to Lynchburg next weekend so it'll be interesting to see if any 4G pops up while I'm there. I'm hoping the 3G is at least usable though. Sent from my Note 4.
