  1. Has anyone purchased the G Pad yet?
  2. Since I too was planning on having it for summer for my job... I'm kind of scrambling to figure out what I'm going to do in the meantime. This may be one cheap option... For about the same price INCLUDING data, I was looking at Boost Mobile. If you were to purchase the Samsung Galaxy Prevail (Retail price of $129.99, at Best Buy typically for $89.99), use the daily unlimited plan for $3. Then set yourself up with the mobile hotspot on it for the monthly hotspot plan of either $5 for 1GB or $10 for 2GB. Now, if you didn't have to have the daily plan on it and you could only activate the hotspot feature on it (which I don't know if you can or can't do) this would make a far more cost effective setup than Karma. With a phone that has almost x3 times more battery life (14 hours for Galaxy, 5 hours for Karma), a removable battery on the Prevail over a non-removable on the Karma... it actually might be better. But what I did like was that I'd earn free data, and in the setting I'd be using it in, I'd have quite a few people connecting to it in certain situations. Essentially me never having to buy data for it... So as of right now, I'm torn. I may return the Karma and go with the above option if I'm in desperate need. It would be cool to find a S5 to do the above option and have it to do more mapping/tower finding instead of killing my G3 battery.
  3. Well, I like the concept of it... BUT I haven't received it yet. The "start shipping date" was April 10th, but as they were testing, they hit a snag with other parties holding them up. So now were looking at May, with probably having it in my hand late May/early June. So... if you decide to get one, I can still give you the referral code for $10 off, but the price is up to $149 again. And depending upon when your travels are, you might not get it until June or July since pre-orders are done.
  4. Happy Birthday Robert!! As always, I GREATLY appreciate all you've done, this site has taught me a lot!
  5. I'd probably say 3 total from the stretch from New London to Shawano. 1 south in between Clintonville and New London, 1 in Clintonville and 1 north of Clintonville between there and Shawano. Granted you still have all of 45 to cover going west, but this would make a nice seamless transition and would cover a lot! That road is extremely busy so it's not like they wouldn't be used.
  6. I finally had time to take the trip up to Clintonville... Good news and bad news... The LTE that is mapped in Clintonville is non-existent. It was roaming from Cellcom and US Cellular of that stretch. However, I held onto 1x800 far beyond what I expected and many miles farther than what the voice maps state. On my way though I saw multiple places where a "possible" site "could" go.
  7. Here's the link: http://www.sprint.com/tnt22/index-base.html
  8. Bush Trimmer (Take that one as you will)
  9. Multiple people on down detector said that it might be due to an earthquake an Illinois!! http://wgntv.com/2015/03/25/2-9-magnitude-seismic-event-strikes-lake-in-the-hills-area/
  10. Wasn't having problems before, but now yup... Can't get a text through in Waupaca/New London area. Time to bombard the Sprint Zone app.
  11. Is that Ashwaubenon zip code? Wonder if tower work is going on that's affecting it... I know there was a tower acceptance in that area but I doubt that would affect calls. Keep us posted!
  12. Didn't think of that! Still hoping for number 1 though, fingers crossed.
  13. Soooo.... while just looking around on Sensorly... I stumbled on some new purple. Purple where there are no Sprint towers, and the closest one to it is actually one of my home towers. If you search Clintonville on Sensorly, you'll notice a semi dark purple strand starting at Clintonville going south to Highway 22 to Bear Creek. Everything south of that line, is mostly what I have mapped myself. So either I stumbled on 1 of 2 things: 1.) There's a new Sprint tower in Clintonville that magically appeared 2.) Sensorly goofed up like in North Dakota Let us hope it's number 1, hopefully next weekend I can go take a look and see what we have.

    LG G3

A little bit better now that I did a factory reset last night, still probably going to buy a couple extra batteries.
  15. Because for me, I can take this along when I'm working and not only have a quick backup but provide data to others and NOT have to pay for what they use. I can also earn data for every person who uses it. So in reality I'm not really am going to be paying heaps and mounds of money for this thing which I'm sure an unlimited plan would be. For me, it has it's benefits hence the reason why I wanted it. And the KarmaGo hit what I needed to achieve with it. I don't need unlimited and I'm not always going to be using it in that way, so why over pay for what I'm not going to use? Now if we're talking about replacing my 3G Sierra USB modem for home use with your unlimited plan and a Netgear Router, than yes this would be dumb to do.
  16. Haven't updated this is awhile! KarmaGo is still on track to ship April 10th. Cannot wait to finally have it in hand! (Seeing as it was pre-ordered back in October and was "supposed to be" one of my Christmas presents) Oh well... At least now with a decent amount of B41 deployed around here, it be impressive unlike using it on just B25/26. Anyway, 24 days!

    LG G3

Decided to do a factory reset on it, and see if that helps anything. I'll do an update on it and let everyone know. I also want to add, I found multiple replacement accessories that are LG genuine for our G3 on eBay for great prices: Replacement Charger & Cable - $6.99: Here Replacement Battery - $11.99: Here I'm going to buying a couple replacement batteries, and a handful of those chargers for both my mom and I.

Wowzers... My battery life is just not doing too hot lately. I'm at 36 percent and am just under 5 hours of "Usage on Battery." Where as before 5.0.1 on Kit Kat... I was easily doing 8 or 9 hours. I'm probably going to buy a new battery for it and see if that'll help me any. I've also been getting that proxy error in Chrome every once in awhile too and some of the apps like Facebook won't load pics and such in the news feed. Definitely getting a little miffed.
  19. It probably doesn't help either that there are still a few straggler 3G only sites sitting smack in the middle of Minneapolis... Which more than likely means the sites around it are overloaded. As Tim would say on here: "Soon™"
  20. I'm having the same thing... The only thing that has let me install my apps is clearing the data for Google Play, restarting and then quickly do it.

I've had the update now on mine for just over 3 days... the ONLY problem I had was that Google Play didn't want to install my app updates. Couple button presses later and it's all good. I actually think the update brought better battery life for me... I've easily gotten a couple more hours out of each charge. Seems snappier too.
  22. Ooooo I was so hoping Sprint would get the G-Pad! But kinda bummed it's only 8GB and not 16GB like the Tab 4.... but it does have Lollipop... Hmmmmm.
