  1. I'm in North Wisconsin territory, but I travel to the Milwaukee/Madison area for my job as well. So, yes I witness a lot of B41! However, I'm in some pretty unique places for my events. Sometimes in a very rural area and hoping that that CA might give an extra boost in coverage, reception and obviously data speeds (or all of the above). I was watching Swappa for the longest time, but then realized is it worth it? Because I think for activating a new line on Framily that isn't purchased through Sprint gets a $10-15 charge tacked on every month.
  2. So I thought I might mention... I've been lurking in this thread and have read all of the 164 pages over the past couple months. While I am an Android guy, I'd like to get my first iPhone to add to my Framily as a new line. Making it my business line (so my G3 number can stay my personal phone number) as well as my MP3 player to replace a super old Gen 4 or 5 iPod Nano. Since I own and operate my own mobile DJ and entertainment company, this kills 2 birds with 1 stone (I promise no actual birds will be harmed) as I can have a separate business phone number but also have a backup source of music on the fly. I had planned on getting a 128GB 6 Plus... but from what you all have said, I'd like to hold off to have the CA capability, maybe even better battery life?
  3. https://twitter.com/marceloclaure/status/616139487895162880 Marcelo himself tweeted and responded to the S4GRU tweet!! So! Cool! Congrats Robert for not only making a huge difference today, but for all the years you've kept S4GRU going. I wouldn't know even half of what I know if it wasn't for you and all the knowledgeable members here on this site. This just proves how influential this site can be!
  4. Well... up here in Northern Wisconsin, most interstates are covered fairly well. However I've noticed that I-39 has many spots where it drops LTE very quickly. Either because of the tower not having any bands of LTE, or the LTE on the tower doesn't reach anywhere near what the coverage maps say they do (no surprise there). If we talk highways, there are numerous where I drop all data and only have 1x800 available or have nothing at all. Again, due to many towers sitting at 3G only. I will say though where it is deployed, 1x800 has made an EXTRAORDINARY difference. I just hope with expansion and all the projects going on, we see more native coverage so more highways are covered.
  5. From June 18th... very good update and now just some small things to double check! https://blog.yourkarma.com/karma-go-interoperability-testing-finished
  6. Donation now coming your way! I am unfortunately having to be a tight-wad with money nowadays. Being a college student and small business owner I have to pinch pennies as much as I can. Especially now as I try to start a fund of my own to make my first "big boy purchase" of a new car. So when I graduate I can afford a brand new Jeep Cherokee Limited and a new 6x12 cargo trailer! I've had a couple close calls with my 99 Mercury Grand Marquis and I know it won't last forever. And as I use my car as a gear hauler for my business and travel across the state frequently, I want something that can keep up with me. Oh and you know... have fun with too...
  7. Update as of June 11th... https://blog.yourkarma.com/karma-go-passing-little-tests Great to hear they're moving forward without complications. Typically I'm not one to read comments on sites like these (as we all know there are misinformed, unaware people and trolls) but I have to agree with a few who have mentioned it. For the people who pre-ordered from December 31st, 2014 and back, it would be a nice "thank you for waiting" present if they were to throw in free data. However, for the cost could they afford it? I think saw somewhere that they passed 250k units pre-ordered. Now lets assume at least 150k were pre-ordered from last year. We all know that actual cost per GB could be anything, but now multiply that number by however many were pre-ordered in 2014. That's a pretty big chunk of money. Just a thought, but it would be nice if they were to give a little something for being promised that we'd get it for Christmas. By the time most people will actually get it, this year will already be half over...
  8. Finally... https://blog.yourkarma.com/karma-go-may-update It has now been 7 months since I pre-ordered it, and there have been many times already I've would have loved to have it while working. Thankfully by the next time I'll need it, I actually have it. I'm glad they finally released another update, people - like myself - were getting antsy. Only difference, I understand what they mean with the issues. I'm sure others couldn't care less. Once again, they want it now and couldn't give a damn how it gets there... which really is sad.
  9. Whoa... I might actually get it now, especially with that offer!
  10. Just ordered mine, Cam - I think was her name - said 5-7 business days! Edit: Will this show up as a device in your account or no?
  11. Forgot to post the latest update from Karma: https://blog.yourkarma.com/karma-go-on-track-for-may We're on the home stretch!
  12. I'd say "maintaining" is even getting to be a stretch. With the reports from RootMetrics coming in, it sounds like a lot of places need updating. Even Robert has mentioned there are numerous sub-par areas.
  13. The biggest thing going wireless will be speed. I personally would recommend always going wired if you can, other wise you do lose a noticeable amount of speed going wireless. Sometimes you have no other option. And with the new technology being used in the newer routers/access points, it's not as big of an issue as it used to be. @CDK What speeds do you pay for?
  14. 2.4 GHz will be your friend here. We live on 5 acres, using about 3 of it and it got interesting to provide decent WiFi outside. I'm a fan of Netgear, so I will soon be replacing what I have and going with a more powerful Netgear AC1900 Nighthawk Range Extender. The way I have it setup, I can't ever run a hard wire to do it the right way. But at least now I have my router on one side of the house and my current range extender on the other side and works fairly well. I wanted to upgrade so I can equip the new AC beam-forming technology.
  15. Well... it looks like we're going places now... I took a trip with my mom today, up to Stevens Point and Plover. Going from 54 through Waupaca (I'm here quite frequently) I FINALLY got 1x800 all the way through where I'd normally drop down to "No Service." However, the tower in Waupaca (which is a B41 confirmed LIVE tower) doesn't seem to broadcast any band LTE very far... Probably needs optimization. Fine. Heading up 10 going to Point... same thing, dropped LTE almost immediately. But again, this time I got 1x800 here too giving me service in normally a "No Service" stretch. Once I got up to Point, B25 performed PHENOMENALLY. While B41 will definitely help once it comes, I'm very surprised I found no gaps up there to the point I was hardly ever put on B26. The whole #GettingBetterEveryday is true. While I'd love to see LTE in more places, the last time I was up that way it was a night and day difference today. Having 1x800 in all the places I normally have "No Service", to a much more optimized and stable network in the car and in stores while there was just amazing. Go Sprint, and more importantly, go Marcelo for being a kick ass CEO.
  16. When you get it, could you do a review of it?

    LG G3

The stuff I normally do. Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Vine, search pages on Chrome, ESPN, Sensorly and Signal Check, different retail and food apps, eBay, check bank stuff, some YouTube here and there... I don't know. My usual stuff! All I do know is it was A LOT better before Lollipop. However today I got just under 11 hours on my new battery so we're getting better.

    LG G3

Bought 3 new batteries for my G3... installed a fresh one and I'm getting about 8 hours with my normal use... Granted I probably need to wear it in a bit, but that's not any better than before. I don't think it's the battery. It's Lollipop.
  19. I do understand why they have to keep pushing off the dates... part of it is not their fault. But it is their fault for getting the average consumer hyped up to expect something that had the possibility of not hitting a shipment date. The average person couldn't care less what's going on to make their hotspot, they just want it. So they don't understand the testing, the certifications and what not... A.K.A. the cool parts... Because I too, ordered mine in October and now have been told 3 different shipment dates.
