  1. Sprint's only adding a handfull of new sites to there network, so don't get your hopes up. There shouldn't be much of a signal difference on 1900 1x and 3G EV-DO as far a the service goes on that shorter site. Once CDMA 800 is live at that site you will see better coverage.
  2. The old tower could be slated for decommission once everything is operational on the new site, this happened in my home town of Bristol. A tower that was home to Sprint CDMA, Nextel iDEN, Verizon, and AT&T had to removed due a commercial development that was to be constructed where the old site once stood. Crown Castle built a new site across the road to accommodate all the wireless providers, plus the city added a public safety 800 antenna for enhanced coverage. Sprint installed legacy equipment on this site that was on the old site, crews were not around to add the new equipment at the time. Old Tower Old tower New cell site being constructed (Cell site completed and operational August 2013)
  3. Its in beta right now and works very well, now I know when I am in the slow or fast lane when on public WiFi thanks to AJ for mentioning to add it to SignalCheck Pro and Mike for integrating within his app.
  4. Have you checked too see if you have the site logging feature enabled within the app? If so its been logging every site you've connected to for the past week...just a thought.
  5. I know you haven't abandoned your S4GRU/SignalCheck family Mike, in a years time with over 10,000+ downloads on the Play Store, your app has become a valuable tool for us wireless geeks and to LTE hunt, not only for Sprint but for the other wireless providers as well. I believe I speak for the entire S4GRU family when I say I applaud your dedication to your app and enjoy every update that comes along with it.
  6. Any new news on when we can expect the 4.4.2 update? Read on a website that the 1GB RAM version of the S3 won't see the KitKat upgrade.
  7. Do they consider Bristol, VA in the Kingsport/Bristol, TN as officially launched? Or will they add Bristol, VA to Johnson City, TN when Sprint officially announces Johnson City? Not one Sprint site in Bristol, VA has live LTE yet.
  8. Sprint/Nextel Corporation WIP licenses will show up on the FCC and it looks as if they own but the tower, but they don't. Its either SBA Towers, Crown Castle, American Towers, etc that own them and lease the sites to a wireless operator. I believe Verizon still owns towers but I'm not 100% sure...
  9. For CDMA Ec/Io is the most important because interference is much stronger. For CDMA networks interference is like noise, so consider the SNR and the Ec/Io pretty much the same thing.
  10. This is way overdue, abusers that rather say on the LTE network instead of using there home WiFi when available.
  11. Robert, we need a dislike button...unfortunately owning my own small business comes with owing taxes, even after all the write offs.
  12. Good question, I don't know, AJ could probably answer that for you.
