  1. Mike, I think I may have fixed the MCC-MNC that was only displaying "3100." I will report back when I'm in an LTE service area and will let you know if I was successful or not.
  2. I compared my GS3 that is now on 4.4 to my girlfriend's GS3 that still on stock 4.3 and my LTE signal was at least -3dB stronger overall. I'm not running the ND8 baseband build, I'm on the NDC baseband. I have noticed on 4.4 the signal bars indicate your data connection on both 3G and LTE. Its been 24hrs since my phone updated and still pleased with the update
  3. I am enjoying the new 4.4.2 KitKat update that was ready to be installed this morning, seems like the LTE is more stable now in the 4.4 build than in 4.3. I didn't get the ND8 update, I got the OTA NDC update, I don't know if there is anything different between the two.
  4. Samsung must have listened to you Mike! I'm loving the 4.4.2 KitKat upgrade along with the 3.4 kernal that was ready to be installed this morning, my GS3 has new life. I do have a question regarding the GCI, what is it, and why will it not let me add site notes to the LTE side (it would help me very much)? Also it in the screenshot below the PLMN ID is "Unknown 3100."
  5. Mike, you should change "SignalCheck Lite" to "SignalCheck Limited," I bet you would see an increase in purchases for the "Pro" version. Can't wait to see what you have in store in the coming months for SignalCheck Pro.
  6. I left Sprint for Virgin Mobile because I was paying over $70 a month for only talking for an average of 150 mins a month and using only 1GB of data monthly. When my contract was up with Sprint I had it cancelled and the nice Sprint CSR told me about Virgin Mobile with the plans starting at $35 a month, I ended up buying the Galaxy S3 through them and have the $35 auto deducted from my checking account every month, I get the same great service using the same amount of minutes on average and my data still hovers around 1GB a month, only draw back is no roaming but Sprint coverage is excellent around here.
  7. The international GSM version of the S3 will not work on Sprint's CDMA network, you would need the SPH-L710 Galaxy S3.
  8. Totally agree with you, I've watched YouTube videos of people testing Sprint Spark and everyone that has tested it has been very pleased with the speeds they are getting. Heck, I'm pleased with Band 25 running at a constant 13Mbps whether its during the daytime or peak afternoon hours.
  9. No clue, I haven't taken the ND8 update yet even though every morning my phone tells me to update. If your wanting to know the PCI and TAC you can dial *#0011# from the dialer which will give you LTE info goodies.
  10. I guess your playing a game of Russian roulette when taking the ND8 update. Some users are reporting the exact opposite and are hanging on to LTE in places where they use to not have it as well as a stronger 3G/voice connection. It almost sounds as if Samsung adjusted the scan times for LTE as well as made adjustments to hand back off to eHRPD/EV-DO when your in fringe areas of LTE to save battery life.
  11. Looks like the LG Volt has landed on Boost/Virgin Mobile, features a 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400, 1GB RAM, 8GB of internal memory, SD card slot, 4.7'' qHD IPS display, 4.4 KitKat, and of course tri-band...not to shabby for 179.99.
  12. I barely use 2GB on my phone over 4G/3G when I'm out and about, when I'm home I use my WiFi connection to browse the internet, steam music, etc. I like Sprint's connection optimizer as it automatically switches me over to my WiFi when I get in range of the signal, just set it up and forget about it.

You try going into settings - applications - all applications - and force stopping it?
  14. I grabbed some screenshots of the new BSL that changed yesterday afternoon. Today my phone has been sitting on 1x RTT and flip flopping back and forth to eHRPD which started around 9 A.M. BID 53282 use to be 701-799 Fairview St. Bristol, and BID 53377 use to be 117 Volunteer Parkway, Bristol. Also found a site a few days ago that is now broadcasting 800 out towards South Holston Lake, I must say its hard to hide from 800 once its latches on to it, this was on my stock PRL.
  15. 2 sites are 3G completed, 1 is/was legacy, and the last is 3G/4G accepted but lacking LTE integration. And its these four sites that are showing new BSL addresses.
  16. Basestation IDs (BID) haven't changed, the only thing that has changed is the offset addresses. Also 3G signals have dropped significantly in the last few days as well.
