  1. nowerlater send me this from a MB at his work showing 0F1:
  2. Dropped my rating of tapatalk to one star and said "Cloudfront/AWS says a tapatalk loop from old code is causing them to block users like me and many others from various boards as a security threat. Been going on for weeks. Time to fix it." Tapatalk responded saying "Please write us to support@tapatalk.com with more detail and we'll look into it. Thank you." If you could supply more details I will send them to tapatalk. Thanks
  3. Firmware updated to ZVA, September 1 2017 Android security patch level. Other aspects seem the same. It had no release notes or comments. Calling plus not yet supported.
  4. Many of us are having the same issue. Connectivity only possible with extreme patience or switching phones or ip addresses. It could be from using wifi and Sprint from same device or s4gru.com/ipboard to amazon servers. There are a few fixes out on youtube, but no idea if they apply or would work.
  5. They have started to look at integration issues. http://www.reuters.com/article/us-sprint-corp-m-a-t-mobile-us/t-mobile-sprint-ready-board-committees-to-decide-on-merger-sources-idUSKBN1CU0FN
  6. According to root metrics, the real world coverage of T-Mobile and Sprint does not overlap as much a people think. Just by combining there would be a significant reduction in roaming from 26 to 28% to 16%. Many other interesting points as well. http://blog.ihs.com/sprint-and-t-mobile-combined-the-implications-of-a-merger?utm_campaign=pc10030&utm_medium=social-network&utm_source=twitter&hootPostID=d3417d530a26b24dfc9e949c097b2e29 Sent from my LG-LS997 using Tapatalk
  7. T-Mobile is also involved with CCA http://ccamobile.org/press/rca-press-releases/t-mobile-joins-cca-data-services-hub/9119044 Sent from my LG-LS980 using Tapatalk
  8. The site has had a lot of communication problems lately ranging from the forced update, tapatalk, and the Amazon cloud errors that block some users. You might wish to extend it for these reasons. I would suggest two weeks. Sent from my LG-LS980 using Tapatalk
  9. It will not be over for a while. It could last a year or more after announcement, assuming they get that far. AT&T and Verizon lobbyists are likely already active, especially with the FCC in terms of how much bandwidth will be allowed. Corporate culture issues often are ignored in these deals. Hopefully a battle against the duo would be enough.
  10. https://newsroom.t-mobile.com/news-and-blogs/tmobile-q3-earnings.htm Sprint also has value in its loss carry forwards.
  11. I wonder what devices support band 8. I assume it is covered by the emergency roaming now in effect on the islands.

Personally I think the 2CA uplink could be the cause of problems. They likely tested this under config 1, while we are now on config 2 with about 49.7 % slower uplinks.
  13. better explained in the additional source I forgot to list: https://www.wirelessweek.com/news/2017/10/softbank-joint-venture-acquire-8000-us-cell-towers It starts with rooftop leases from Sprint.

CA or Calling Plus? If CA, which level did you have it set to previously?
  15. https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2017-10-19/sprint-t-mobile-deal-announcement-is-said-to-likely-be-delayed and in case you missed it: http://www.fiercewireless.com/wireless/sprint-parent-softbank-dives-into-u-s-tower-market-ahead-expected-t-mobile-tie-up https://www.wirelessweek.com/news/2017/10/softbank-joint-venture-acquire-8000-us-cell-towers The second one is likely the most important as it would free up capital for Sprint which could be used even if there was not a merger imo. It certainly could make Sprint's balance sheet look better in a merger.

Here is to hoping these B41 and other LTE problems are mostly software issues which will be fixed in a firmware update. Likewise with the download speed drop while using calling plus -- Sansung S8+ users report no download speed drop. Wireless charging has often had a negative effect on reception. Don't know if anything can be done there. Sent from my LG-LS997 using Tapatalk
  18. A lot of it is Cellcom, 3g only. Matches former Clearwire protection sites. Sent from my LG-LS997 using Tapatalk
  19. If that is true, expect AT&T LTE limited to 3g speeds. Cellcomm or Verizon would still be used for phone calls. Sent from my LG-LS997 using Tapatalk

  21. Columbus has two 3g only sites left, both with 1900 and 800 rrhs. Shentel has 3g only gmo sites remaining in the area. Sent from my LG-LS980 using Tapatalk

How well does it work at sites that have special QAM / MIMO ? A speed test from any of these would be awesome! Thanks Sent from my LG-LS997 using Tapatalk
  23. iirc US Cellular leases most of its spectrum from King Partners. I believe they have been approached over the years about selling the spectrum and US Cellular, but they have no interest. Sprint did manage to peel some spectrum and sites away a few years ago.
  24. The Window of Opportunity concept refers to the time when it is best to invest and deliver on a new idea. Too early can be a waste of money (WiMAX in hindsight), too late leaves you with not much to gain (current). It will be quite expensive to build out 5g, which is what Verizon will do to differentiate themselves in the market and to justify a higher price. Could there be other windows of opportunity for Sprint beyond this possible merger? Yes, but Sprint will have to wait for another carrier to stumble and also Sprint would hopefully be able to pay off more debt beforehand so they would have the capital (or better access to it) to seize such a new opportunity. Will Sprint immediately die without a merger? No. Sprint could continue to grow but at a much slower pace, although it might also slowly decline. Sprint would likely continue to look for new partners. Vast additional sums of money would be needed to build out 5G in many major metropolitan markets in a significant fashion (ie noticeable on a daily basis by many people). Additional large sums are needed to make everyone aware of this (marketing).
