  1. So it would seem that Ericsson finally installed at least one new carrier card in Birmingham, AL and I get 1x voice in my basement office (concrete building.) I have no idea what they did on the site visit but at the same time I notice 1x voice in my office I notice no 4G outside. I drove to the tower I suspect the 1x is coming from and I know that the 4G at my work was coming from and surprise surprise no 4G there either. I love you Ericsson
  2. The Wilson Sleek 4G (813426) covers 1850-1995 MHz. That should cover block G, no?
  3. Unless Sprint finally tuned the Adamsville site Graysville's (Corridor X & Old Hwy 78) site appears to be in progress, picked up 4G driving through this morning. Never got it within several miles of there before.
  4. I haven't experienced that myself, in my experience LTE will drop sooner than voice and reconnect after switching to voice on another site. Could be an issue of terrain and obstacles here. I suppose your results will vary on many factors if you are trying to find a 4G site with Signal Check Pro, what works for some may not work for others.
  5. I believe I read something about Google killing all third party support for GV sometime this spring, that might not be around too much longer.
  6. Which unless you are in a Spark market or connected to 800 voice should still be accurate most of the time for the data site. Edit: Or if you have tight tower spacing I suppose but that is definitely not an issue where I am.
  7. 23 inches but 16:9 ratio. $130 each. http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?sdtid=6646964&EdpNo=3709664&SRCCODE=LINKSHARE&cm_mmc_o=-ddCjC1bELltzywCjC-d2CjCdwwp&utm_source=Linkshare&utm_medium=Affiliate&utm_campaign=lw9MynSeamY&AffiliateID=lw9MynSeamY-4.gQmqRMsgPpF6Wd73O3Bg
  8. The G2 has much better LTE reception than the Evo as does the Nexus 5 but I personally wouldn't waste what is probably your last subsidy on the N5.
  9. Good to know Koi, as always good info.
  10. I shouldn't have to strike up deals for affordable cell service. If I wasnt an existing customer it would be as simple as getting on Google and finding a code. Besides, Sprint won't waive the $15 fee for me. They even admit I meet the requirements but here I sit with 2 notes on my account saying not to waive it.
  11. Which they haven't done. Before my corporate discount a single line framily would save me $5 but cost me my subsidized phone. In actuality this is a rate hike if subsidies are lost.
  12. No idea how they have it working but the screenshot does say the ability to text over wifi.
  13. Thanks Koi, good info. I may try chat again tomorrow and see if I get somebody a little better trained. I really do not like going to my nearest store so I'm trying to avoid that.
  14. Apparently chat can change people to the Framily Plan. I asked her to compare the cost of the Framily Plan to my current plan (ED 450) and she informed me that I was on the best plan for having only 1 line on my account right now. Her reasoning was the $15 fee that she insisted I was not eligible to have waived. She also felt the need to place a note on my account explaining this. Needless to say I did not let her change my plan. This is just for people that were on One Up right?
  15. I don't believe throttling was in the T&C for those plans. But I haven't heard of anyone getting throttled on the new plans either, I assume they needed to throw that in to keep the network usable if it becomes more crowded in the future.
  16. It was mentioned a few pages back that somebody was able to switch over the phone. I'm with you, my closest store is a third party store and they are generally less than competent.
  17. Hmmm port out to T-Mo and let them pay the ETF then join a Framily? I wonder if T-Mobile will accept any old phone as part of that promotion.
  18. Well other than the fact that Sprint prevent's it's MVNO's who would otherwise activate a Nexus 5 from activating it.
  19. I see people are having trouble making the switch in store. Why oh why does Sprint not allow the plan change online? Do they expect people to buy an overpriced accessory during there store visit?
  20. You are correct unfortunately. From the FAQ: Customer can be assigned to a new Framily group or join a Framily group on the customer's existing account that has not reached the 10 line maximum. The line cannot join with groups outside of the customer's existing account. Looks like no framily for me. No way I can talk 6 people into switching over to Sprint. I tried to talk a disgruntled AT&T subscriber into looking at Sprint and she asked "Does Sprint still exist?" and moved onto VZW without batting an eye.
  21. I wouldn't mind jumping in a group that will be 7+ on here either. One question though, is the pricing on this dynamic? If somebody leaves the "framily" does the price adjust accordingly or is it set for a certain period of time? I'm guessing that it will adjust which could potentially screw framily members still on the plan.
  22. If you have the newest APK would you be willing to share it? I have found a few APK's on XDA but they aren't very recent.
  23. CSFB issues fixed in Birmingham, AL along with the Alabama market launch. And wow are Sprint's coverage maps generous.
  24. It looks like those of us in SoutherLinc's coverage area will get some 800 love after all. Sponsor map showing some green!
  25. Well yes but I'm assuming he didn't just get the phone today so it's something he probably want's to know.
