  1. Guess you didn't read much of any of the headlines?... The judge wants to make this a quick case. 10 day max. Today is day 2. He ordered both sides to reduce their # of people testifying and removed the opening arguments. Said it was a waste of time. He already heard the details. I'd say he means business.
  2. I hear you RedSpark... while I don't completely agree, I do respect your frustration. I have frustration with Sprint too. Hopefully it will be alieved in the next 9 days once this trial is complete.
  3. We all like a great deal and that's just my point... It generates no real positive cash flow for a business. You can't live as a business like this over and over again. If it costs you $4 to bake a loaf of bread, you can't keep selling it for $2.99 and also pay your employees.
  4. I agree. It seems common sense disappears in all of this, especially the states attorney generals. They know this.... but I'm afraid this is political driven. Lets hope the judge see through this attempted control of free business. They are in business to make money after all... the entire premise to keep prices low for 5-7 years is crap! (Price controls- Hello dictator Government) You should not control free market business like this or we fail as a free market. It's a nice guarantee but not one the government should buy into or put value on.
  5. Before Masa opens up the "checkbook", pigs will grow wings and fly. He has an attention span of 5 mins. He just keeps investing in anything crazy and unusual... SoftBank’s Masa Son still trusts his gut and isn’t done splashing billions on ‘crazy’ entrepreneurs With this kind of flakiness, there is no hope for him to come back to Sprint to spend money. He'll just let it wither to the point of bankruptcy. So Redspark, wishing for a no merger is a waste of time. You will end up getting nothing either way. Unless your stance was to "punish" Masa .... It's pocket change to him. He could care less! You stock is what it is... only possibly worthless in bankruptcy. You're only hope is the stock swap of a merger.
  6. Where are you getting this? I looked, I didn't see anything in the news pool that would suggest this...? Worst I heard was the Judge chastised both sides for the amount of witnesses both side have to argue (some 14 or more) and asked that the list be pared down substantially. He also did not allow opening arguments. See news link above. I wouldn't call any of this a "Slaughter"... on day one??!
  7. From some of the latest articles, Wall Street Journal, NYT.... detailing the proceedings today, the Judge doesn't want a long drawn out case. Short and to the point. Something tells me this may be good? IDK. He didn't want anyone to hold opening arguments as he said that is pointless. He instructed both the states and T Mobile Sprint to start calling witnesses...basically lets get this show on the road... Good or bad, I hope it's short and not a 6 month trial. If he goes in favor of the states, it will throw the entire business merger structure into question in how mergers are reviewed, processed and approved or denied. It could have very long lasting implications for any future companies eyeing a combination. T-Mobile and Sprint head to court to defend their merger
  8. I'm going to jump because my contract will be up... before I buy another phone, I want to be with T mobile. Better coverage for me personally, and much cheaper for a single plan. Even if I have to go to Metro... I don't care. I've been with Sprint since 2000. I've had enough of them and their continual struggling and many incomplete promises. Just me... guess I'm just frustrated with them personally.
  9. I believe I will too... I don't want to stay with them without a merger, they're just too weak alone at this point. It's a shame, but it's true.
  10. So... what do you all think if the merger actually doesn't happen? Do you think T Mobile and Sprint will enter into a network sharing situation or??? Just say'in. The investment analysts are saying it has a little over a 50% chance of getting cancelled as the state's attorney's generals have a pretty good case... Thoughts?
  11. Enjoyed hearing about 5G. Couldn't care less about the car.
  12. Kinda something many of us were talking about and wondering. My handset should work without any issues with no real need to upgrade. (Samsung 9+) The new T-Mobile will offer an incentive program to ease the transition from Sprint Handsets to T Mobile
  13. Couldn't agree more with you on this. Way over-hyped, as "old Sprint" used to do a lot. HPUE didn't even help pull the band 41 signal in more like it was brainwashed into us at the time. Was to make B41 signal nearly as strong/available as Band 25. ... Never in my experiences!
  14. i think the whole thing is dumb! Let em Merge! This is garbage and is dragging this out soooo long!!! I could have already been enjoying better coverage and planning my next phone purchase!
  15. Glad to hear. Even though this doesn't mean anything is guaranteed... it may make the court case shorter/easier??
  16. Hey Rickie... Yeah, I saw that too... wonder what it's about? I hope it's not something lame like John will be staying at T Mob and not going to WeWork or something. Hoping is has to do with Merger in a positive way.
  17. That would be ok. I like Mike... He's a good guy but doesn't wear magenta as well as crazy John!
  18. T-Mobile Shares Fell on Report That CEO Is in Talks to Join WeWork I'm hoping John stays ... bringing Sprint and T Mobile together requires his expertise.
  19. Brad? Where's the link? Where's the detail? Let's see. 5G data... If it's that good, maybe I'll want to join that plan?
  20. I don't see this as true comparison. It's a far from it really. National Carrier to National Carrier. .. Not MVNO!!!!
  21. Unlimited Verizon for $25 (New T Mobile is $15/ month for 2G data) a month and with 5G? Please show me this feat of amazement! Not sure what exactly you are comparing as I know of NO Verizon Plan for that amount of money with Unlimited. Apples to Apples.... Lets see. Here's all I find. 1 line now... Not a 5 phone family plan...Looks Like $80 Bucks a month mister. ($70 + $10 5G surcharge = $80) Not $15 or $25. If Verizon had that pricing, I would of went to them a long time ago. Verizon:
  22. Brad... I actually am on your side in agreement most of the time, but not this time. The plan actually works for me.. and its way better than anyone in the industry offers outside of 3rd party carriers (MVNO's) . I think it was bold move and a great value for many people. If it flies, as in the merger is approved (states attorney generals) , I think people will flock to it in droves! I use most of my data in the house over Wifi. The other plan is $25 for 4gig or 5 gig??, with the same 500mb increase every 6 months or year ...whatever... I might even do that. The best part is... no up charge for 5G if you have a phone that supports it. I have to say, I was shocked in a good way. Verizon and AT&T are not happy about that announcement... They were already attempting to up charge 5G. Kinda reminds me of Sprint's "Premium Data" on smart phones. The charge was argued to be helpful to build out the WiMax network and because smart phones used more data. You see where that brought us...12 years later.... still leaves a bad taste in my mouth 12 years later.
  23. I'm interested in the New T-Mobile Connect plan, Unlimited call and Texts with 2GB data included with an additional 500mb added each year for $15/month! 5G speeds included at no extra charge if you have a 5G phone.
