  1. you and me both! Would help a lot! Capacity would be better from that aspect alone. "Cell-Breathing" is a huge issue in this area because it's the heart of industry... very busy area and throw a major Airport in the mix also....
  2. Not many (almost nobody) have T mobile here... most are Verizon and AT&T users... they have great indoor coverage... the only one person I know who has T Mob has no issues...but it is only one person... can't really call it on that alone... 😞
  3. Great... talk to me about it... while I'm fighting with unusable data on Sprint in building service ...in a Ford building with tons of old 1960's glass (read: non solar non-signal blocking), off I-94 in Detroit /Dearborn/ Romulus area near Metro Airport trying to roam on Verizon 1X! Literally... Verizon 1X. it's junk! Old Verizon ... unusable. Can see 2 or 3 cell antenna's from here... none of them are Sprint.
  4. ...and when that day comes, we shall rejoice and say, "Dan is back!".... (bah do bah ding....) M&M's "Shady's Back" song playing in the backround....
  5. You don't understand? Anything other than some data, it's still divided by carrier GSM/CDMA... all the old back up systems are still there for calling etc...as well as how the phone handles simultaneous call/data use... band aids are in place for CDMA to do that but they don't work as intended.... I get what he intended/meant. I still see a difference.. we haven't been on LTE all that long (2-3 years??) and we don't roam across the carriers like we should.
  6. I would LOVE to have the ability to roam on T Mo right now both at work and at home! Verizon is still the selected roaming partner for Sprint around here and it's horrible!
  7. I'm so tired of this argument for so many reasons! Airwaves and towers cost money... equipment, people... etc... do you really expect costs to NOT go up over the years? Does the cost of food, drugs, and fuel not rise constantly? Why do you think the cost of phone/internet service should not go up? I truly think and believe what they have been saying ... when you combine the networks and there is a lot of available band width... they will try to fill it... I think since there will be more, prices for service will probably drop. But if they don't, I can understand why.
  8. I can better that... it's time to decide in the garage sale if any left over "crap" should be put in plastic bags and hauled off to donate to Salvation Army. I do totally agree with you. Nothing big will happen at this point forward. Still no nationwide deployment of VoLTE... it's piece-mealed and incomplete... 4G... still part of Volte and small upgrades ongoing/ small expansions... nothing huge... and 5G... turn on the system is a few key areas... and then everyone gets to wait... and wait.... very little money to go around and the bills are mounting... Just need to pray this merger closes... if you want to stay. My phone lease is up next March... If this isn't the "New T Mobile" by then, then I'm going to a different carrier... will not stay with Sprint.
  9. I also assume it is on track as before. The merger is not a done deal, so they have to work like nothing is going on... "keep on keeping on." Nothing will probably change until the ink is dry and new directives come down from the T Mobile management. I dought a lot of new equipment is being ordered etc... but what ever was or is on hand will probably be deployed. Just my thoughts.
  10. You know what else Snake... I think that T Mo is more interested in putting 600 to use first and foremost (some of their own isn't ready yet (band clearing))... and let's face it, with more 600, they can greatly increase their foot print to the rural areas very quickly. Side note: Did any of you hear that T Mo lit up their 600 mhz in the Gulf of Mexico 60,000 sq miles mainly off LA, Ala, and Texas.... it's to help boaters and people working on oil platforms get service... especially data... thought that was kinda cool!
  11. I just surmising, but if you factor in Sprint's vast 1900 mHz and the midband 2.4, along with T Mo's 1900 and their own AWS spectrum, they probably have enough that they don't really need it? Thoughts?
  12. That's a "Market Driven" price after that... Nobody in their right mind would commit to a certain price beyond that. Could be higher, but you know what?... Could also be lower!! Competition may drive better deals....
  13. I can understand that in a way. Not sure why you've always taken such an interest in Sprint/T Mobile if that is in fact your plan? Verizon is very strong in your area. It was the NYNEX (AT&T BabyBell, serving New England and New York) and Bell Atlantic serving New Jersey... together they formed Verizon. They own most of the circuits and underground telephone hardware in those areas. Now you can understand why Verizon is so "good" in your neck of the country.
  14. Me too! I'm thrilled they didn't... They have a very nice Spectrum portfolio now. I trust T Mobile will use it quickly and effectively, unlike what we have been use to with Sprint. This is truly a breath of fresh air! I have a Samsung S9+ ... all it needs is T mobile's blessing to unlock all those frequency/channels...
  15. Dearborn / Detroit border - Sprint's 1900 mHz is carrying most of the load here, especially for data. It's bad. Very over crowed.
  16. I'm hoping T Mobile unlocks us so we can start using their frequency's. I can use some better in-building reception.
  17. Many (some of you) are all asking about pre-existing roaming agreements etc... I think those are all still in play... I don't think any of that changes.... The New T Mobile said they would honor all existing roaming agreements and other contracts set up by either Sprint or T Mobile. Besides, until this closes officially and they both become "New T Mobile", nothing changes yet.... T Mobile's 2nd quarter conference call/ web presentation is at 1pm today. I'm sure many many questions will be asked including much of this type of information. I plan on joining the call to be able to hear all the details.
  18. So when is the DOJ going to commit to announcing? They put the deadline on T Mobile and Sprint last week that everything needs to be completed by the end of this week,.. now we are all waiting on them. In addition, T Mobile has postponed their 2nd quarter earnings meeting with investors schedule for yesterday, then delayed until today, now it's delayed until further notice. Can this get any more unorthodox?
  19. The news / business outlets are still saying the delay is due to the DOJ negotiating with the states over the merger. Overall, this might be good to clear as much of the legalities up as possible.
  20. They are making us wait until the last second.... No announcement... no leaks... Nothing! Grrrr!!!!
  21. Comcast is big and likes it that way! I don't see them doing anything with anyone else but the biggest cellular companies (Ie, Verizon and AT&T). Not a well liked company and I don't see things changing much. Comcast is part of the reason why I find it ridiculous that the Government is having such issues over approving Sprint/T Mobile. They let (whole heatedly) Comcast merge and buy out competitors until it's as huge as it is... in many areas being the only cable/broadband player. Now you're (US Gov) is worried suddenly about going from 4 to 3 wireless carriers?!
  22. T Mobile's 2nd quarter results are being released/Earnings call/Video cast at 4:30pm today. It was said that a large part was planned to discuss the Merger and "Next steps" which would really be fascinating! Not sure that will be part of the meeting unless the DOJ blesses it today?
