  1. I'm from Detroit! LOL. Look out! 😉 I work for an Auto company too. I watched newly stolen cars roll down a side street on fire with nobody in them... (crashed and burned with remnants of ATM machine parts strapped to them trailing behind)... Roaming Bonfire! Carry on....
  2. Hopefully not much. He used a company strip approach, the way a car gets stolen and stripped. Came in, bought the majority stake in the company... cut costs with a plan from the first moment to unload Sprint at a profit (ie... sell it and merge with someone quickly). Sprint has suffered from a string of bad owners/ lousy top management for quite some time. As I've said before, I hope and wish they (old Sprint management) are all gone come the actual Day 1 of New T Mobile.
  3. It's been my experience more often lately as well. I can have 4 or even 5 bars and data is so slow or won't even connect, time out. Congestion? Not sure what the problem is??
  4. Not a good quarter economically. The patient was already in a poor state. I agree with you RedSpark and CEO Michael Combes (Sprint) ... Hurry up Merger!! From CNet: Overall, Sprint's total subscriber count continued to fall with a total loss of 396,000. The decline dropped the company's overall count from roughly 54.31 million wireless users last quarter to approximately 53.92 million today. "I am proud of the resiliency of the Sprint team as they work to deliver results in a challenging environment," said Sprint CEO Michel Combes in a statement accompanying the results. "However, I remain convinced that merging with T-Mobile and building one of the world's most advanced 5G networks is the best outcome for all consumers, employees, and shareholders." This is really going to sting the financially drained pocket book: In a "message from management," Combes also said that Sprint, which was recently accused of defrauding the FCC about its Lifeline program, is "committed to reimbursing federal and state governments for any subsidy payments that were collected incorrectly." Full article from CNet News: Sprint posts another quarterly loss as T-Mobile merger remains on hold
  5. From Market Realist News: Sprint (S) is set to release its second-quarter earnings results on November 4 before the market bell. The company’s second quarter ended on September 30. It won’t host a conference call with analysts after releasing its earnings results. Odd! this is the second time Sprint will not do a live Earnings call. This just says (to me) the news will not be very good.
  6. Only a hit now... but if the merger goes thru, then you may be able to obtain more of their network on one of their phones...etc. T Mo claims to have over 330 million pops covered...Way more than Sprint. Can't believe you won't have a better signal. I'm sure your current Sprint phone is not optimized to use a T Mo signal... not yet at least.
  7. Yeah, I've been saying that for a long time. The strong will get stronger and the weak... well, you know what happens. When and if this merger actually happens, I will celebrate. It can only mean better coverage and faster speeds for me where I live. With 600, 700, 800 (leaseback) 1700, 2100 and 2500Mhz all available will make it unbeatable.
  8. Yeah, I found his comments to be kind of sharp and pointed. But the main point I got out of it was at the end. His opinion that Sprint will be sold off in bits eventually if the merger fails. Again, his opinion.
  9. Sprint is Gone if T Mobile Deal Fails, Boost Mobile Founder says...
  10. Spectrum sharing would be great! But I doubt that's what the Nov 7th announcement is...
  11. That is my assumption as well. New T Mobile = T Mobile + Sprint
  12. Big Announcement for "New T Mobile" next week, November 7th. Have a feeling it's the availability of Nationwide 5G and possibly some plan details too?? Stay tuned. The most interesting thing about this is that it will be presented as New T Mobile and not T Mobile.
  13. In all fairness, I disagree. It's more apples to apples then you admit. "A vast majority of the population at large carries around a cellphone these days"... and they still have 3 major National carriers (if merger approved), actually 4 right now... and many smaller regional offerings.. not one. It's how you choose to look at something. I'm not splitting hairs as to the commodity they offer, but like cellular, they are overseen by the FCC/ DOJ. The vast majority of cars when purchased also come with Satellite radio. Millions of them. But only one choice and for many years. Regardless, the playing rules under the FCC and DOJ are the same. Point. But the rules are subject to change at any time... They are under the FCC control and the goal of them and the DOJ is to NOT create monopolies, yet, that's what they actually do... for certain commodities/companies. (shoulders shrugging) Look at how big they allowed AT&T and Verizon to get by absorbing other smaller cell companies and content providers. Look at how gigantic they let Comcast get (Huge mistake!)... It's dirty mess if you ask me.
  14. I agree, but how ironic! The 2 biggest satellite providers are even thinking about merging leaving how many? Oh wait... just one. Sirius and XM were allowed to merge and that left... 1 major / only satellite radio company. Cellular... oh wait, we need 4 major players along with a number of regional players! What?! Wait?! Illogical thinking.
  15. Seems like it does. Not good! Seems like perfect timing to help add another wrench into the Sprint T Mobile gears... when does the nonsense stop?
  16. ...and then there was 16... 1 of the 17 states suing agrees to drop it's lawsuit/pull out and sign on to the Sprint T Mobile merger
  17. The "delay" is minimal... as the vote (with the delay) will have to occur by Oct 16.
  18. T-Mobile-Sprint Merger Has Majority Support at the FCC 3 republicans voted for. No votes yet from the 2 dems. From the Yahoo Finance article: All three Republicans on the five-member agency have voted for the deal, setting in motion procedures that would require agency action by Oct. 9, or Oct. 16 if an extension is requested by a commissioner, the people said. Neither agency Democrat has cast a vote, and both have called for delay.
  19. Florida signs on for the merger. ... and by the way, the article, today, states: "Separately, the Federal Communications Commission has indicated it plans to approve the merger and has begun the process of formally doing so." Florida joins Justice Department settlement with Sprint, T-Mobile Bazinga!!!!
  20. So yeah... do you have any web link or article to show this? I've looked. I didn't find anything. Rather than plainly disagreeing and calling something out... It's polite to link an article or some other form of proof. Otherwise, it's hearsay.
  21. According to what I read, the "Official" vote did not happen yet! When the FCC found out last week about Sprint's supposed misuse of Lifeline funds, some at the FCC asked for a delay. So if the story is true from Fiercewireless, then the official vote did not happen yet. FCC must Pause T-Mobile Sprint review
  22. I think the entire review process is now a bunch of cr*p. "Bonkers" as she put it?! How dumb! Not sure who is telling the truth or if anyone in DC even knows what that is anymore? This whole process has been a circus! Was / is there a "process" to review and approve? If so, why wasn't it followed? Why is it being revisited 5 times?! No company has ever had to go through this... in this manner. If you keep re-reviewing something, then no doubt, you WILL find something. You've (certain FCC commissioners and certain DOJ officials) have been looking for something over and over to pick on with this merger and won't stop until it is found. The official vote/doctrine should have been voted on way before and signed off and this whole thing should have been put to bed by now. They have had 1 1/2 years to review this! Now she says they didn't see the documents and or are having a different order circulated through?? What the heck was going on there for 1 1/2 years?
