  1. Less than an unhappy customer base that is looking to switch, I'm sure.
  2. If you are an existing customer with a service agreement, you still have to fulfill your terms. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  3. I think the .23 baseband lets go of a fringe LTE signal in order to drop back to EVDO/1X to more reliably receive phone calls. I know mine will hold onto a -123dBm signal and I'll get lots of voicemails without the phone ever having rung.
  4. No Sprint/T-Mobile merger. Softbank acquires T-Mobile and then makes the two companies share networks. They enable this by using Brightstar to leverage the manufacturers to make handsets that support all frequencies and technologies on both networks. The two cooperating companies compete against each other on price, perks, and customer service, and with the big 2 on price, coverage, and capacity.
  5. Call retentions to cancel and explain why you want to cancel. They should be able to either take care of it for you, or clear up why you should be charged the fee if in fact it is legitimate.
  6. Still have an earnings call that should be less than stellar next week
  7. You just have to download TWRP to your PC and rename it to recovery.img, make sure you have the SDK installed, and then use the command "fastboot oem unlock" on your PC from the command line while in the SDK folder with your phone connected via usb in fastboot mode. Once the bootloader is unlocked, you can use "fastboot flash recovery recovery.img" and you're done. After TWRP is flashed, reboot into recovery and then reboot your phone (or flash a ROM and then reboot your phone if you prefer). If you do nothing else, it'll even give you the option to install root for you once you hit reboot.
  8. I got it during the first promotion, not the Framily one. They put me on the 2GB plan, put insurance on it, and charged the activation fee. The activation fee I can understand, but I went online and got rid of the insurance and change my data plan to the 25MB plan the same day. It didn't stick and still charged me the prorated amount >.<
  9. That's the best use of NFL season tickets I could imagine.
  10. Do we know what markets the FCC has granted extensions, and the markets where public safety licenses are to blame? I haven't seen this mentioned before.
  11. I never thought it was the baseband support that was difficult, but cramming all the antennas in there.
  12. I think the article is missing the point: those stats are more than usable across all three carriers tested.
  13. The 90s called and asked for their anthem back. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  14. RT @blairherter: Solid move RT @peanuttillman: This is crazy but I have 2 tix to SB today... Does anyone know a deserving military family t…

  15. I entered a killer sweeps and might win a sweet home entertainment system! http://t.co/IZ0niBLqpW

  16. The latest. RC1. I've been in other Spark areas and haven't connected, so like I said, I think it was a fluke. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  17. A better scenario would be A Softbank acquisition of tmobile and a forced partnership between the two providers where either company's phones would work on the other without roaming. Maybe that's just crazy, though, and I'm wrong. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  18. I'm on the radio that shipped with the phone and my network setting is LTE. I'm using SlimKat ROM. This was the first time Band 41 has shown up on my phone, even in that same spot. It's probably a fluke.
  19. Once it reboots if you go back in and just view the settings (not edit) it will show the 1, 2, or 3.
