  1. Not sure if this is a eCSFB issue but when I set my HTC One M8's Network Mode to "CDMA Only" it refuses to connect to 3G at all. But when set to the default "LTE/CDMA" it connects to 3G just fine.
  2. Man I've been searching like crazy but I can't find how to change the scan priority on my M8. If someone can point me in the right direction, that would be greatly appreciated.
  3. I have definitely noticed an improvement in RF performance vs my M7. My department at work is like a dungeon (no windows ) and LTE was borderline impossible to get in here with my M7 and it was definitely impossible with the Evo LTE. With the M8 I can now hold an LTE signal in here for most part. Hovers between -111 and -118 but its still strong enough so that web browsing, Instagram, and other tasks are still very quick. Data definitely feels faster on 3G as well. Much faster than the M7. Also I have experienced the CSFB issue although it was nothing cycling airplane mode real quick didn't fix.
  4. Just got my HTC One M8 last night too, so I'll be keeping an eye out in York.
  5. That's great. I was expecting to have Band 26 sometime this year but due to Sprint's constant reminders that Spark will be available in the top 100 markets over the next THREE years, I wasn't expecting to see Band 41 around here anytime soon. If the tech proves to be correct, that will be awesome news for us Shentelians.
  6. Thank you very much sir. I didn't know if that was indicating that B26 or B41 was rolling out over here. There hasn't been much info on Shentel's progress on the rollout if they have even made any.
  7. Question for the ones that have Tri-Band devices or any knowledge on the matter. If you have a Spark enabled device, does the top show a Spark LTE logo when connected to Band 25 if there is no B26 or B41 deployed in that market? Or does it just say 4G like non Tri-band devices? I was at Best Buy in York, PA yesterday and I was playing with the M8 and there was a Spark logo at the top.
  8. Lol 4/7/14 is next Monday. But either way, that's still sooner than I thought!
  9. Is that all Sprint stores? If so that would put the street date about a week earlier than I expected! I sure hope so.
  10. Hmm, I wonder what they are planning on announcing here. VoLTE perhaps? http://www.engadget.com/2014/04/02/sprint-april-29/
  11. I think the M8 also has it beat on the audio side with it's boomsound speakers. The front facing cam is not 5 megapixels for the ones that actually use or care about the front facing camera, and the battery life on the M8 is supposed to be pretty awesome. With it being in almost phablet territory.
  12. If you're looking to buy it outright I don't think you would need to wait until the 10th. I almost pulled the trigger on one over the phone on the day it was announced, but decided that I didn't feel like spending $700 on a phone at the moment. It'll be much easier on the wallet to do Easy Pay. But yeah you should be able to just go to Sprint.com and purchase online. If not, then over the phone will definitely work.
  13. I guess I'm in a peculiar situation. I live in York, PA which was surprisingly a WiMax market pretty early on during their rollout but we are definitely not a top 100 market. Does that mean that Band 41 LTE deployment could be underway here in York? I know that Shentel kinda has their own thing going on with their NV rollout so it's hard to keep track if band 26 or 41 are being worked on here without a Tri-Band device. P.S: To all the people following this thread sorry for all the notifications. For some reason when I post my comment it just shows up as a blank message
  14. GSM Arena Battery tests look really good as well. For comparisons sake last years HTC One received a 48 hour endurance rating. http://blog.gsmarena.com/htc-one-m8-battery-test/
  15. The big positive that we are forgetting is that if this does come to fruition, Robert can have Sprint service again! =)
  16. Sprint Easy Pay? EDIT: I forgot you don't live in a Sprint coverage area anymore. Nevermind
  17. I would make the argument that people running speedtests all the time isn't making the network any faster. Sucks to see that Band 25 LTE is already getting strained in some places. Even here is York, PA, many areas are considerably slower, although still fast enough to do most of my daily tasks, minus watching a video on Youtube in HD. Sometimes I gotta bump it down to standard quality
  18. Well you can rest assured that this version of Connections Optimizer is much more annoying than the last. Having Wifi automatically turn on all the time in the most unexpected locations. Places I have never even been to before and it's trying to connect to networks. I also noticed that battery life had gotten worse than when I had 4.3 I turned off Connections optimizer looking for a solution and low and behold, my phone lasts twice as long.
  19. I always thought that having a Tri-Band device was enough of a challenge but adding T-Mobile's AWS spectrum to the mix would make things even more complex than necessary. At best I see Sprint keeping T-Mobile and Metro PCS' 1900 spectrum and selling off AWS to Verizon to get cash for all that spectrum. In any case, I would much rather see Sprint/Softbank use all that money towards accelerating the Network Vision rollout rather than buying T-Mobile.
  20. I just started a Framily account last night currently riding solo because just switching to that plan was already $5 cheaper than Sprint Unlimited, My Way plan. If anyone is interested in joining my Framily send me a PM and I can give you my Framily ID to join. Admins if this is NOT okay, please let me know and I'll refrain from doing so.
