  1. Lol Root? GPE? Either way, I'm glad it's rolling out a week early! I too will be checking for updates all day.
  2. The HTC Software Update page was updated today and the Sprint M8 has been upgraded to the 3- Certification stage. I don't know how long that usually takes but I don't think it would be that long unless there's an issue. If we are lucky we'll get it much sooner than next Friday.
  3. The Snapdragon 810 is supposed to have 1600 Mhz LPDDR4 RAM on board which is definitely a nice upgrade from the 933MHz LPDDR3 that was in the M8. So on top of them doubling the memory bandwidth, an additional GB will be a very nice upgrade performance wise coupled with the faster and more efficient CPU and the much faster Adreno 430. Honestly this chip is gonna be a beast compared to the 801 we are running now. https://www.qualcomm.com/products/snapdragon/processors/801 https://www.qualcomm.com/products/snapdragon/processors/810
  4. I haven't had any issues with data connectivity but I've been having issues with delayed text messages. I've gotten messages 15+ minutes later and sometimes even more.
  5. Yeah yesterday I downloaded the 4.4.3 update on my M8 and I noticed that now at the beginning of every single phone call yesterday there is a small icon in the phone app that says "Attempting HD". Now I wonder if they worked out the situation with making an HD voice call between me being in a Shentel Area(Alcatel Lucent) and calling someone in a Samsung or Ericsson region.
  6. Man I have not been paying much attention to this thread lately. I had no idea B26 LTE was starting to pop up in Harrisburg. I was just at Dockside Willies a couple hours ago but I didn't even think to check if I could get B26.
  7. B26 LTE just went live momentarily in New Oxford, PA a few minutes ago!
  8. Not to mention that users constantly running speed tests isn't exactly freeing up any capacity either.
  9. Lol sorry man. It should be getting up and running in Harrisburg at any moment now. It's been less than a week since I first spotted B26 and now I see B26 on my phone as often if not more often than B25 on my phone in and around York. It's definitely gonna be moving very quickly. And I'm getting into the habit of mapping on Sensorly again to update the maps with the greatly improved LTE signal strength.
  10. Not sure if I was connected to the same tower as you as it's a pretty good distance away from where you picked up B26 but I was also connected to B26 consistently yesterday around Davidsburg Road in Weigelstown, PA. Indoors and all. Gotta love B26!
  11. I literally came in here to post that exact statement.
  12. Yesss!!! Do it! We need you! Your fellow Harrisburg residents need you!
  13. I did not. At the time I was mapping on sensorly to map the change in coverage signal strength now that it was connected to B26, but normally my phone usually stays on B26 until I'm out of usable range of it. My device does not have a hard time connecting to it or maintaining a signal at all even during idle. Unless I'm staring at SignalCheck, I would never notice when it switches between B25 and B26 other than the increase in signal strength. And streaming data like Spotify or Youtube doesn't exhibit so much as a hiccup during the transition. It's honestly rather impressive how seamless the transition between bands is. It's awesome to finally have first hand experience of what Sprint envisioned 3+ years ago when they first announced Network Vision and the multimode base stations. I can't wait til B41 joins the fray here!
  14. It appears that the tower on West Market Street and S Richland Ave by the York Fairgrounds is broadcasting B26 LTE judging from my signal strength when I was about 100 feet away from the tower. https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B8_ESszeycXGbGNTSEJNMGdvY0U/edit?usp=sharing https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B8_ESszeycXGR2UyOUVTN04tbHM/edit?usp=sharing
  15. Yeah I thought so too. I think that specific site near my home may be overloaded as I barely get any speeds over 2 mbps even with a decent -90 to -100 dBm signal at any time of the day. So maybe B25 being overwhelmed is cause for the network to kick me over to B26. But I'll do some more experimenting when I get home tonight.
  16. Definitely in the City. The first screen shot is from my home which is about 3 blocks away from York College when I noticed. So my guess is that I may have been connected to the tower nearest to me which is at Resevoir Park just behind York College. The 2nd screenshot when I was connected to sector 1B, was at the Advance Auto Parts on Mount Rose Ave near Penn State York. And the 3rd screenshot showing sector 1A, that was in the parking lot by McDonalds on the corner of North George Street and Route 30 Although at that range I was only connected briefly before getting kicked back down to B25. I imagine that either the down tilt has yet to be adjusted if the tower by York College was reaching Route 30 or there may be another tower in York broadcasting B26 LTE.
  17. Our prayers have been answered! https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B8_ESszeycXGS0pJMzd3QnFhd3c/edit?usp=sharing https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B8_ESszeycXGQm5oNE1EVXA1UDg/edit?usp=sharing
  18. I'd have to drive around a bit and check. But here at my home I'm only connecting to 0FE0CB19. Ahh what the heck, it's a beautiful day outside. I can go for a little drive =)
  19. Alright, try it now and let me know if that worked. I was just so excited that I botched the photo uploading job
  20. Great news guys! Just got my first sighting of Band 26 LTE in York, PA! Keep an eye on your smartphones as we are that much closer to official B26 from Shentel and I expect them to move fast and furious. https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B8_ESszeycXGbEVPRHpUcXI4Ylk/edit?usp=sharing https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B8_ESszeycXGRUpMRXpNbDV0dU0/edit?usp=sharing
  21. I guess staying in one place for a while is the key then. I was at El Malecon Restaurant on Broadway and 231st on Saturday night, spent the night around Baychester Ave and Boston Road and I was at the Javits Center on Sunday for the Auto Show, but not a single time did I pick up B41. Sucks, I was really looking forward to the trip so I can experience B41 LTE for the first time.
  22. So I went to NYC this weekend and I kept a close eye on my phone in various different areas but at no point did my phone connect to any Band 41. I tried doing a PRL update after I got into the city just in case but still didn't see anything. Is there anything special that needs to be done to obtain B41 on the M8?
  23. This isn't a photo that I took but the Sprint M8 literally looks just like this. There is no additional branding whatsoever if that's what you're wondering. I think Verizon is the only carrier that went haywire with placing their logos on it. You can rest easy.
  24. But I've never had an issue with that on any of my previous devices. When I would set it to CDMA only, it would simply retain 3G and refrain from scanning or attempting to connect to LTE. I used to do this to preserve battery life in places where I am barely able to get LTE and my phone is constantly bouncing back and forth between 3G and LTE. However I did dial ##72786# in the dialer and reset the radios and it's working again. Must have been an issue during the Hands Free Activation when I purchased the device.
