  1. It may or may not be from St. John, you could possibly be pulling lte from Stt. If you have direct line of sight to the tower you can still get service. If you get to redhook and you still have lte then it could be from St. john but if your lte goes away then you were pulling lte from a tower on st thomas. From cruze bay st john you actually have direct line of sight to at least 3 or 4 towers on st thomas and could easily get lte service from one of those towers if they are broadcasting an lte signal. EDIT: To add, from redhook, you will have direct line of sight to the tower in st john if you don't have lte in redhook then that tower in st john isn't the tower your phone connected to for lte.
  2. Looks like a small caliber bullet was used, probably a .22, anyway talk about a 1 in a million shot.
  3. Not bad. not bad at all. Wish ping times where better though https://www.dropbox.com/s/1bekjsuh0lovq7y/2013-10-29%2011.15.05.png?m
  4. Well thats to be expected due to the higher frequency used for 4g in addidition to thick concrete walls that most homes have in the VI. Once all the towers get fired up hopefully it will improve for you a little.
  5. I just came from redhook and no lte there but on the drive back I connected to lte around the sugar bay/point pleasant area but I lost it once I started approaching the bottom cassi hill. I am in old tutu and haven't been able to connect since earlier. At least progress is being made.
  6. I am currently switching back and forth but I managed to run a speedtest. Not bad considering my lte signal was hovering around -118. https://www.dropbox.com/s/5z6fnhjwqqo2hc4/Screenshot_2013-10-28-18-07-17.png?m
  7. Yeah, I was getting LTE from lockhart gardens all the way to griffith park. It went back to 3g coming over skyline then back to LTE when I got to old tutu. When I passed the entrance to wynberg there was a guy working on that tower but I don't think lte is coming from that tower. I am thinking the tower thats on top of annas retreat(rooftop of a house) is where lte is coming from. So at this point its safe to say that at least two towers have lte for sure.
  8. This has happened to me quite a few times, I would just hang up and just call back and it will go right through the second time. A lot of times when I do reach the person I was trying to call they would tell me that their phone rang but then it hung up even though I never heard anything at all on my end when I had called the first time.
  9. Got the word from who? Pics or it didn't happen. Anyway, I am in the vitraco park area, still on 3g. I have to head west in a few hours so if its true I will post pics.

    HTC EVO 4G LTE

Maybe its a backhaul issue, I don't know for sure. In my general area I tend to average about 10 to 15 during the day and 15 to 25 during the night and like I said with some locations I can get 30 whether its night or day. For what its worth I was in central florida last month and there were many locations from Ocala to well north of Gainesville that I was averaging 20 to 30 down(might be a bad example since those areas aren't quite as densely populated).

Its just your location, thats all. There are a few towers on my side of town where I can pull down 30mbps no matter if its day or night.
  12. I saw two guys on the tower by the entrance going in to wynberg about an hour or so ago.
  13. If they can get them sim unlocked they can still make quite a bit of money internationally.
  14. LOL, yeah the driver went on a bathroom break, how convenient. Seems like an inside job to me.
  15. I am not talking about the value of whatever is being insured, I am talking about deductibles.
  16. Don't you have insurance on your vehicle and your home? Don't you have health insurance? Don't all of them have some sort of deductible? I wouldn't say its a scam, that's just how it is with most types of insurance.
  17. Sounds like you have the everything data 1500 minute plan. Your discount is only applicable to the 110(which is the base rate) and thats it.
