Wow, htc is really on the ball with these updates. -
So far yes, now of course the n5 is still king of lte connectivity but I was pretty impressed with my One Max. That was a lot better than the One(m7) but the Max was still about 5db or so worse than the n5. The M8 seems to be similar to the max, maybe even slightly better which is great. Yeah, this device looks too good to hide in a case but I don't want to take any chances so I am using a clear tpu case right now. I like textra personally, it works great with features you will use without all the added bloat. That definitely odd, you don't really see too many sales people pushing htc products.

The debug menu is there but I don't see the prl write option.

The build quality is even better if that's even possible. Well made device no doubt.

Since a few of us have already gotten our m8's I figure it is time to open up a user thread for the m8. Its very busy day for me so I haven't had much time to play with it but so far its pretty awesome. As far as rf performance, well of course nothing is as good as the nexus 5 but for me the m8 has been holding its own fairly well. In my office my One(m7) would never connect to lte from my desk but my nexus would 100% of the time. With the m8 I've been able to connect to lte from my desk but the n5 has a stronger signal by about 5db or so. Anyway, I will add what I can later on.

Not gonna lie, this device is as premium as premium can get. I won't be able to spend too much time with it until tonight though but for anyone on the fence, this is a definite purchase.

On the m7 its the standard black font with white background, don't see why it would be any different with the m8.

Yeah, its probably been shipped but they haven't emailed you yet but follow these directions carefully and you can get the information. 1. go to your sprint account online 2. click on see my bill 3. on the right side click on order history Now the next screen should show your current order with an order number starting with DM Now take your DM# and put it at the end of this link. http: //myaccountportal.sprint.com/servlet/ecare?inf_action=orderLines&orderId=DMXX-X-XXXXXXXX Now after the = sign make sure the dm is in ALL CAPS and include the dashes as well when inputting the numbers. This should give you your shipping info.

Well the setup on the one max is exactly the same as the m7 but due to the larger spacing the speakers perform better in the max. I will see how they compare but for the most part I don't think there is anything to worry about, I am just concerned about lte connectivity.

When it comes to sound quality there isn't another phone that has better quality sound that the m7/onemax and so far most if not all are saying that its even better on the m8. Now there are phones are there that are loud but the quality is garbage. The m7 is loud with excellent quality for such small speakers.

Yeah, I am currently in the Virgin Islands and my mom's house is perfect for rf testing and of course I have my n5 with me. I really hope the m8 does well. I don't expect it to be as good as the n5(nothing else is) but if its better than the One Max(which was actually pretty good) then I will be very happy. Lets be real, you will end up getting it. You are just OCD like that, LOL. Seems like you ordered through telesales which will be $249.99 minus a $50 rebate you have to send in afterwards. I did the same thing because I was having issues with ordering online. I tried to get customer care to help me out but their only suggestion was to cancel the initial order then order online so I ended up just leaving it and will deal with the rebates.

Well I already have an N5 so as soon as I get the m8(it shipped already should have it tomorrow) I will be doing comparisons almost immediately. I just hope it doesn't disappoint. Got my email late last night with tracking information as well, should get it sometime tomorrow. I think these videos are actually pretty well made, much better than that RDJ garbage from last year. Yeah I agree, definitely a huge improvement to the RDJ ads.

Actually the sprint website was running slow as hell and I was getting a little frustrated with the process so I decided to just call instead and online chat support wasn't helpful either.
