    Wasn't saying svdo was the issue. Was just tossing it out maybe its the design overall as we see apple bc of their antennae setup evidently get better call quality and signal...and was just saying svdo was one of the things they dropped bc of their setup...was not saying no svdo is reason for strong lte connection... BUT also not recalling if the cdma and lte is being done through same antennae either as I believe the lte one was totally separate which would toss my theory out the door completely anyway... Everytime we talk signal all I remember is AJ's comments on the EVOs FCC docs showing it had lower numbers than desired really... Sent from my EVO using Tapatalk 2

    Wait I thought it was the birds nesting in the towers causing delays....now its hurricanes. Lol Still though they are doing fine all things considered. I remember long ago they were yapping about 2014-5 and then said LTE would be deployed by end of 2013 everywhere...so a qtr off ain't much with all things considered. Dates on big projects move all the time...its the nature of forecasting the things and if ever spot on u should quit and play the lotto bc u have too much luck on ur side. Lol

    We do have to keep in mind that the sgs3 will always connect earlier than the EVO will given the FCC test results AJ went over... I recall him saying the EVO was low on the average scale even at first glance of um, if I'm not mistaken... So maybe it is hardware?... And likely HTC/Sprint learn from this and the next design/EVO fixes this problem. It's a first for them to roll out a device with bad radio connectivity so I'm considering this an anomaly and if not fixed via software its a design issue that they don't let happen again.     I hope they don't touch clear more than they already do. Seizing full control would put sprint in terms of total bandwidth above others...it go es a false impression really and they would not be able to play the card they currently do when they say VZ and ATT own too much spectrum compared to Sprint and others...with taking over Clear that card can no longer be played and actually you could see VZ protest any sprint won spectrum auctions or additions showing sprint has the boatload from clear... In order to fully use that clear spectrum you know how many additional sites would need to be added to make up for the lack of coverage bc of the freq....a ton. Best to let clear be clear and them do their thing just owning a piece of the pie instead of full control. Imho Sent from my EVO using Tapatalk 2

    Makes total logical sense there. Thanks Robert! Now I just wonder when the core that feeds Raleigh gets flipped on as I've seen no eHRPD there yet. That or they just decided to flip towers in Burlington to use the new LTE core bc they are closer to charlotte than raleigh... Now with that said I'm here in Concord and had no LTE at all from the two towers near the track and mall...the one near the track has been upgraded some it seems as I pulled 1.5 down though ping was around 200ms... Guess they are behind a tad in this small area... Oh well, once its fully done its gonna be amazing! Sent from my EVO using Tapatalk 2

    Headed down to Concord, NC for the Race this weekend. Looking forward to getting some solid speeds as the towers around there should be gtg near the track. Will be much better than my neck of the woods in Raleigh. I do wonder if the COW's Sprint uses is still using legacy equipment or if they have been tweaked to use the new stuff... I'd expect not all would be upgraded but the giant COW's that are the size of 18 wheeler's with SPRINT all over them I'd wonder if they took the time to upgrade those for when deployed to areas that have NV upgrades well underway, like it is in the Charlotte Market. Speeds have typically stunk at the Track even with the COW's in place the past few years. maybe I actually get a chance to see someone going in/out of the COW this time as im in the infield 24x7 here this weekend.

    Yeah.....her comments in response show that there is a giant disconnect b/w two departments of site management and PR with the maps as her reasons for the discrepancy in the maps and coverage are junk basically... Maps are "...updated weekly..." Lol okay... Not in cities they announce as live already... The maps are the one thing they can adjust and fix many of the current deployment complaints customers have... With such a great thing they are doing you'd think they would be a little more careful map wise to not tarnish the avg customers thoughts... Sent from my EVO using Tapatalk 2

    Well seeing as how cyanogenmod just dropped support for exynos devices going forward till samsung starts providing proper documentation.....I'd say not much as of yet... Saw this posted around earlier the other day, honestly cpuldnt believe it. Saying Samsung though fast on source code, they release crap code for exynos devices compared to Qualcomm.     Great pics there appreciate it alot! At my HS reunion this weekend I found out one of my old friends does work with cell towers now. Something where he climbs up takes some readings and then plugs them in and does some work in CAD to an extent... Guy himself wasn't there but he's evidently been flying all over doing it. Was in PR before and just got into FL recently. Never installs anything just takes the survey basically. Also got a girl on my softball team that actually does work on the towers here in NC area for all the companies. Hasn't done anything for sprint lately but is gonna let me know when she does next time... Climbing cell towers 600ft would be the last thing I'd of guessed this girl did too... What were the markings on the antennas for btw? I remember the Miami video guy saying "..." One was for alpha sector..." And think I remember one of your pics saying that but don't know how they classify the sectors exactly either... Sent from my EVO using Tapatalk 2
