  1. Really has to do with the trance everyone else has been put into to think apple is the greatest ever done by their marketing team. Lol Sent from my EVO using Tapatalk 2
  2. He's talking about some hacker getting the info on the phone. I'm saying that's not gonna happen less u give said hackers app permissions it shouldn't have to access stuff...hence its on the user...same as on anything else. Like giving a app permissions and that app steals ur google wallet info.....who's fault is that, the hacker or the user?.... I'm doing anything but turning a blind eye to it....simply asking for proof of all these fantam claims out there..... Till they show then its nothing more than tin foil hats really... 3. Don't text n drive digi. Lol jkjk Sent from my EVO using Tapatalk 2
  4. A sprint CS rep told u this?...... U realize hackers can't do anything to ANY info(this app aside) less you give said hackers app access to ur system to begin with so that is on u to not give sketch apps certain permissions... I really hope you are not putting all this on what a sprint CS rep said to you btw... Sent from my EVO using Tapatalk 2
  5. Haha that's too funny there.... Watch it get tossed out and apple continues its claims on such things against others..... That's how crazy good their law firm is. Lol Sent from my EVO using Tapatalk 2
  6. How do you know it allows someone to remotely log in without anything you can do to prevent it?.... Show some proof with the claim, as that's a giant claim there. I do remember sprint working with someone that would allow remote techs to debug the device remotely but it would req a pin entered by the customer to allow it as it would be used for troubleshooting in the field issues at high level techs.... 7. Lol, I didn't just fall off the truck here. Haha the time of day the speed was taken was the main reason I took the extra seconds to type it in while driving by it. ill try to leave a lil earlier tomorrow for work and try to scoot on Merideths campus since that's where the tower technically is and see if I can get some better info... 8. Well I dunno what speed this thing used to have at this time but I pulled 1.8Mbps DL and 350kbps UL connected to Richmond server at 8am this morning. Though pings were 250ms... Still had the guide wires hanging off the tower so they are still working on it....whenever I get free this week or next ill try to scoot out of work early and see what exactly is going on here. 9. 700 towers! Crazy stuff there... Wouldnt of thought it would of hit that many of the towers they had tried to start on already... Just bad luck there... Though can't imagine what it'd be like to deal with climbing up a tower with one of those suckers in it. Guess those birds are not "in season" right now....lol Sent from my EVO using Tapatalk 2
  10. Really when? Surely you are not talking WiMAX with that comment?.....if so sorry but the two can't be compared at all in ANY way, as clearwire did the WiMAX and sprint has this particular rollout beast by the horns here.....totally different The use of the word "if" really isn't needed at all like Robert said. It's When it'll happen. Calm down, its coming. Sent from my EVO using Tapatalk 2
  11. Ditto as that tower is on the way to work for me... Sent from my EVO using Tapatalk 2
  12. Wayyyyy ahead schedule there for that site no, Robert? Jw if this is an early tower bc of some major issue it had or if you've heard whispers of them rolling out sites earlier in our area here? Side note.... Silly tapatalk not actually editing my post when I do it in their app. Lol
  13. Ummmm no, lots goes into being able to get X type signal than just firmware.... It's not that easy. Sent from my EVO using Tapatalk 2
  14. Really? So bc you can talk on a freq then you can be able to get LTE on said freq???? That's saying that the EVO and SGS3 and all other LTE phones that can talk on 800MHz can also do LTE on it too.... Gotta disagree with that logic there... Sent from my EVO using Tapatalk 2
  15. Yeah I'm still not clear on that either... Lol Sent from my EVO using Tapatalk 2
  16. I mean Tim Cook said that word for word....while to me it sounds no different at all... last I remember most all phones have multiple bands/signals on the same antennae according to the FCC docs shown... if it was some truly innovative thing then they would of figured a way to only have 1 device for ALL bands but thats not the case as they have 2 model #'s...
  17. awaiting AnandTech to get their detailed review up on this thing before stating for sure.... BUT as one already stated earlier its likely 32nm process.... really when you think about it they would be bat crazy to dump anything higher than that in there at this point in time...
  18. you gotta know wtf they are spinning when they say this: "....."And we have a really unique innovation with a dynamic antenna... it can automatically switch antenna connections." ......."
  19. ok someone like AJ or digi or whoever is gonna have to explain this marketing spin I just read about this device...
  20. Yeah fiber/Ethernet to radios I'm fairly sure of as the move of the radio up top reduces the coax line run length previously there from the radio to the antennae when radios were down at base...wanna say this was on the alu videos somewhere too... A cool vid u linked there earlier btw. Hadn't seen that one before. Sent from my EVO using Tapatalk 2
  21. That and they are supposed to have the fiber run all the way to the radios which are not in a cabinet and are up at the antennae, then a coax from radio to antennae....no? Sent from my EVO using Tapatalk 2
  22. Excellent post there! Thanks AJ What changes with the case of TDD LTE in regards to the comparison btw...just wondering. Sent from my EVO using Tapatalk 2
  23. When you do this please please keep the standard here you guys have so far....comparing the LTE to WiMAX is tough to write about as most ppl end up being very general with it and readers end up with conclusions like LTE =better building penetration than WiMAX which is a poor statement as the freq has a ton to do with it(though you have shown it drops off more than evdo which is interesting and I'd really like to see WiMAX on same freq to see its drop off rate compared to those two....that'll never happen though lol)...real test would be LTE on 2.6 vs WiMAX on 2.6....which should be about the same roughly no? Just the same should be said as WiMAX on 1.9 would be considerably better than it on 2.6... The clearwire deployment of WiMAX really left a spur taste in general peoples mouths, which they now turn into statements like LTE is better than WiMAX when its really better right now only bc the freq its been deployed on...deploy on same freq is best test....something we won't be able to do for awhile if ever no? 24. There are not big connectivity issues don't be worried by that as over 3G and regular stuff it is rock solid.... Mine is like a rock and had zero connectivity issues or dropped calls....I don't count the lte stuff bc right now that stuff is up in air anyway and not the main reason someone should be buying a device right now anyway... Screen and everything else about the device I give heads up over the sgs3 imho.... Tbh, you can't go wrong with either....I am glad to see Sammy get radios right for once though.... 25. SMH See what I did there. Haha Sent from my EVO using Tapatalk 2
