  1. WiMax devices also had a completely separate radio chip for wimax only... Might have something to do with them displaying the two signal bars then... Might pose more difficult with the integrated radios....but I honestly don't see why that would be the case since they display the signal levels on the ENG screens already, so it shouldn't be much of an issue to map that value to a signal meter really.... See if I can get a developer over on xda to tackle that possibly... Sent from my EVO using Tapatalk 2
  2. I still get a kick out of this story every time I see it pop up. Lol I mean either the employee was a complete idiot and asshat which was telling someone they were too fat for the phone... OR The employee used wrong wording just saying the screen was too small for typing on it and the customer too offense and blew it outa proportion... OR Neither and the story is a grand fairy tale. Lol Like what'd been said. Sprint has no reason to push non iPhone's with the contract they signed... Sent from my EVO using Tapatalk 2
  3. I browsed their site a bit more and finally saw it mentioned in the agenda for one of the meetings and tracked it down that way. Had to search for cell site to pull the links up... Still hunting on wakegov to see what I can dig up... About to just fold and email them asking what all has come across as it should be public record anyway. Sent from my EVO using Tapatalk 2
  4. Now how'd u pull that there? Didn't even see a query for permits for wakulla when I glanced... Sent from my EVO using Tapatalk 2
  5. Yup yup... If you don't have carriers all spread out on the spectrum within the band then you really have no need really... Sent from my EVO using Tapatalk 2
  6. Maybe on the thunderbolt when you had separate chipset running the radios but on the EVOLTE LTE battery life is hardly any worse than 3G if at all... Sent from my EVO using Tapatalk 2
  7. LTEA involves carrier aggregation so where sprint doesn't have a contiguous block of spectrum they could lump pieces together... Still haven't looked into if it can be done across frequencies or not though... But if they own 5Mhz contiguous in 1900MHz freq and also another 5 non contiguous in 1900 then they can essentially put out 10Mhz.... The thing is right now the spectrum needs to be in contiguous blocks and LTEA is supposed to eliminate that need...but it does at a cost lol Downfall is battery consumption at this stage is not its best from reports.... 8. And the RF performance aspect I believe is something that will always be a constant with it too... Remember AJ saying that after the FCC docs were posted up.... First time I realized devices varied this much RF wise, but it makes sense in the end... Sent from my EVO using Tapatalk 2
  9. Good. Then like I said before, it could be delivered to the cabinet via string for all that matters as long as that delivers their spec requirement, there should be little worry on that front. Sent from my EVO using Tapatalk 2
  10. That stinks somewhat but oh well... Long as the bandwidth at the cabinet is what they need and is clean/consistent then it could be fed by a piece of string for all I care... From the cabinet to the RRU its Ethernet connection though as opposed to coax correct?... Sent from my EVO using Tapatalk 2
  11. Just wish the permit search for Raleigh was more detailed and we could get a better idea of where and when some of these things are going on... Also would help to know the subcontractors being used here... I can see a handful of ones tagged with sprints name but not near as many as I'd think to see... Sent from my EVO using Tapatalk 2
  12. People should realize when you say "no offense...." You likely should just stop there as your about to offend someone... I'm not talking about it being pushed. I'm strictly saying if the phone can PULL it which at this point in time it can't. The only way to get the update is to go download the update and force it. ... If you wanna put that more on ATT then fine, but the fact ATT isn't allowing it to be pushed or even manually pulled via OTA says something in itself... Sent from my EVO using Tapatalk 2
  13. Few months and you'll feel silly for saying that likely... You should of gotten a text too from them saying they were doing work in the area upgrading things....you've held on this long it'll be a shame to miss out on what's coming when its sooo close now... Sent from my EVO using Tapatalk 2
  14. If you have to go and get it, its not officially out for it... Sent from my EVO using Tapatalk 2
  15. I honestly don't see what's to complain about here to be honest. If you read back they initially projected something like 2015 to be complete... To be able to bump up schedule 2 yrs possibly was amazing, thus having it trickle into 2014 is no big deal... Sent from my EVO using Tapatalk 2
  16. 800LTE, LTE Advanced, VoLTE...that's the pipeline of things to come in the future down the long road... Sent from my EVO using Tapatalk 2
  17. So Samsung gets it right with one new device.... Let them keep that up before you praise them as HTC on average has been ahead of the pack.... Numbers don't lie my friends... Gotta love the carrier numbers too! I have a coworker that has the SGS3 on ATT and STILL has NO JB update!! Haha Sent from my EVO using Tapatalk 2
  18. This is where you run risk by announcing cities too as you literally can't list every single small town/city... Though as mentioned it likely includes it all. Remember the whole market here is scheduled to start picking up real fast in next month or two, so I wouldn't read too much into surrounding cities not mentioned... Sent from my EVO using Tapatalk 2
  19. Yeah soon as I replied I realized after the fact it was you.... Obviously you'd of known that...its never as simple as ppl think the changes are. Lol Sent from my EVO using Tapatalk 2
  20. Its not lower than 5 its set to 5 now.... Though that's not the only change... Sent from my EVO using Tapatalk 2
  21. Should/would have zero to do with the program btw... The program is all about them being able to offer the customers something where they don't have to bend over and take a loss overall on the deal... Most likely they have seen something they wanna tweak after running extensive numbers on it... Sent from my EVO using Tapatalk 2
  22. Yeah the scan time was 30 before the update I believe. And BSR was 16. Sent from my EVO using Tapatalk 2
  23. Haha little knowledge used to write this article up here.... . http://bgr.com/2012/12/18/sprint-spectrum-holdings-analysis-257774/ Sent from my EVO using Tapatalk 2
  24. Its one instance though ya know. But like you I take most comments on the matter with a giant grain of salt as usually there are a hundred other things at hand that could cause the difference in experience... Sent from my EVO using Tapatalk 2
