  1. Screenshots here so yall can see what were talking about exactly.... Notice the menu option I have you don't.... Sent from my EVO using Tapatalk
  2. The setting they are talking about is totally different. It's below 4g settings above the ones yall are pointing out. Has options of national roaming, all networks, and disabled. This menu option is not displayed normally. Sent from my EVO using Tapatalk
  3. Yes, thats expected. you lose all internally saved things when doing the RUU update to this due to the re-partitioning...
  4. Its b/c they re-partition the drive's in this update. storage space is moved around completely making everything much better really as welll.
  5. If ur SOFF you don't loose crap.... I took the RUU still SOFF and flashed back superuser to regain root... All gravy... I will say the radio is better but they have work on the Handoffs still... Picks up 4G too early for me and will do when it's unuseable and flipping to 3G gets you working data fine... Sent from my EVO using Tapatalk
  6. Mine got worse it seemed here a little.... not sure on 4G holding but just 3G signal in general seems to be a couple DB's worse than before...
  7. Bad assumption. Totally different SoCs there and its a decent jump too all around performance and likely efficiency too due to it being an integrated SoC no need for separate chip handling radios/modems... Sent from my EVO using Tapatalk
  8. Would love to see pics taken with the One compared to the Max.... Seriously can't see them dropping a feature if this is the case and it was in the One... Just don't understand why there would be no OIS unless they tweaked the camera elsewhere and overall its better.... Sent from my EVO using Tapatalk now Free
  9. Wanna say they hated the One as well so this isn't surprising... The one thing that got me is the comment about OIS being removed in the MAX... Seems odd to drop a feature there if all is true... One thing I agree with them on is lack of camera button is disappointing... Phone this big should have one along with stylus... I expected at least 1 of those along with S800 here... Get a little better battery life outta the 8 over the 6 being that the 800 is fully integrated and no need for extra chip to handle the basebands/modems... Still surprised they launched this without the 800 given everyone else in the world is using it now on flagship... Sent from my EVO using Tapatalk now Free
  10. Don't understand how they put that in the changelog to be honest... Should of been active the whole time as long as both phones supported it AND the tower/switch connected to was upgraded and handled the codec....least that's what I thought way way way way back when this was brought up. 11. If I recall right the China version of the One had removable back and SD card too..... Don't get your hopes up yet... Sent from my EVO using Tapatalk 2
  12. I don't know. They rolled out LTE relatively quickly down 401 to Ten ten road and they did expand down us 70 but large areas of Old stage, white oak, timber drive and vandora springs is still uncovered. As far as Raleigh, I can never go through downtown or the NC state area without getting LTE. Now I-40 is a different situation. If you take 401-> South Saunders and head north you won't get it when u reach downtown... Then from south Saunders take wade ave-> gleenwood and continue north up to cabtree mall... You won't get it till you get to the beltline... Guess that's just a giant black hole strip of no coverage there I travel every day... Sent from my EVO using Tapatalk 2
  13. Ahhh, it depends on what you are calling Raleigh. Raleigh itself is pretty well covered except for certain parts of North Hills including Crabtree. Step right outside of Raleigh and things go downhill relatively quickly. Seems like Garner has stalled out and Wake Forest is still a black hole. Negative... I drive from south Raleigh area/garner and through downtown up to just b4 crabtree and get zip 4g once I leave my garner tower.... Sent from my EVO using Tapatalk 2 Try cycling airplane mode. Thats what really stinks with LTE. The time for the phone to re-search for signal is way too long. I know it does it to save battery but id like the ability to choose that time myself. Its especially painful when you know youre just in a small dead zone but if anything tries to use data during that dead zone youre thrown back to 3g and sometimes in excess of 15 minutes to acquire signal again. Or you can just toggle airplane mode and it will re-search for signal. Sent from my Galaxy Note 2 using Tapatalk 2 Been around too long bud.... I know the tricks well... Fact is it isn't covered all that well and some high traffic areas I freq are empty right in the heart of Raleigh... Sent from my EVO using Tapatalk 2

  15. The current state of Raleigh LTE is shocking they announced it... Sent from my EVO using Tapatalk 2
  16. There are 3 trucks totalling 5 monopoles that the closest 3 poles are all Verizon and the very end 2 in the back are ATT so I'm told. The two in the middle are sprint ones... Then here closer on the angle set on 2 of the Verizon poles/panels.... Sent from my EVO using Tapatalk 2
  17. When I was in the stands last week they did and it was great... Inside the track in the infield....not so much... Sent from my EVO using Tapatalk 2
  18. Well I'm at charlotte motor speedway for the NASCAR race camping in the infield this weekend and took a pic of one of the COWs... Never seen one like this here before... There were 2 non branded COWs like the one pictured... Then 2 sprint COWs that were NOT LTE compliant as they only had 2 lines feeding the panels... Never seen the giant square before.... Odd they put the panels sideways.... I assume for more coverage but they were the only truck set up this way as the sprint ones were straight up and down... *note the horizontal panels are on another COW ill post pic of that on trip back here shortly. *Note: the pic here is ATT COW btw that I've been told by the Verizon worker as he claimed the others were his. 19. Sooo the HTC One box at Sprint shows a ton more freq than what it went through FCC testing for.... Wtf... Was pretty dang sure they weren't allowed to advertise bands the phone wasn't certified to use... Even if its SIM locked... Sent from my EVO using Tapatalk 2
  20. Not gonna happen. Xda thread already went through it and there's no sensors below that location on the screen evidently... Sent from my EVO using Tapatalk 2
  21. There's dedicated task switching button btw... The home doubles as it if I recall correctly... Double tap brings it up... Sent from my EVO using Tapatalk 2
  22. Lol the iPhone5S being one of the first.... Apple continued to be behind in this connectivity space all this time so if anything I'd expect them to be one of the last to incorporate it... Though anything is possible... Looking to a 5in HTC phablet to be released later this year that has all 3 bands.... Sent from my EVO using Tapatalk 2
  23. Exactly.... Found it funny that the article talked in very general terms making giant assumptions... Just because you lose X signal type doesn't mean you will fall back to #2 type.... If coverage area for both kinds are the same you'd be skipping #2 all together and jump straight to the 3rd option... Sent from my EVO using Tapatalk 2
  24. Cool deal. That's a different area downtown than my commute here... Sent from my EVO using Tapatalk 2
