  1. Should be interesting to see how they are going to deploy it though. Cherry-picked sites or every rural PCS site will get it along with B2 LTE.
  2. Looks like T-Mobile is trying to raise more capital for 700A purchases. How much more is left across the country?
  3. My old hometown! Ok cool you'll see faster speeds once the upgrades are complete.
  4. What area in Hoboken? There are a couple of sites there but I think only one or two have CA, and the rest should be getting them soon.
  5. You also won't necessarily see the second carrier on idle, as phones will park on either depending on site load. I see that a lot in the NYC market where my phones will randomly park on the second carrier when the first one is at capacity.
  6. I doubt we'll see a press release highlighting what caused the outage.
  7. I'm looking forward to this phone, the only thing that would hold me back is the stock camera and picture quality. One of the biggest complaints I have had with the HTC line since the original M7 was the camera quality.
  8. I see LTE but can't connect to anything yet.
  9. You should be fine in Hoboken as well. Lower Manhattan is a little tougher on Sprint, will be honest with you, but Midtown is fine.
  10. I know that your town is limited for Sprint, but the point is that millions of people living in places where Sprint has improved the network now can see it as an option. Even in urban areas like NJ and NY there are thousands of people who use Verizon and the same 7 cell sites, most of them nearby to Sprint sites where the customers can experience similar service. Those folks will now see a viable alternative.
  11. The point in all this is that T-Mobile is using network-side management to control the streams in order to provide the service for free. The $15 price point jump in Unlimited shows that the 1% who want unlimited will be forced to pay more, but the 99% that will be perfectly ok with 480p will gladly jump on. Regardless of my personal feelings towards them, it's a great offer, and even considering my mobile usage, a good deal that I could jump on.
  12. Is anyone who isn't getting HD calls also using WiFi Calling?
  13. Good to see buddy, glad it's working for you. Spread the word!
  14. To be fair, Clearwire has a significant co-located and standalone site deployment here. I can name a dozen sites off the top of my head which are Clearwire-only.
  15. I think we'll see them start popping up randomly, and for the most part transparent to users other than those who are directly affected. Similar to a Right-of-Way cell that popped up on a utility pole in Laguna Canyon, CA. On Reddit someone reported better coverage where 1x existed before, and reported showed it was a utility pole install.
  16. That's a good question, can't find anything on it.
  17. Sprint isn't going to announce the deployment of every small cell or even a new macro site. In fact, I like the less is more approach, whereas in the past it seemed like a major press release was issued for things. Let the network speak for itself, and continue to work daily. As for my market, I see sites coming up daily with CA, so I know for a fact that work is going on.
  18. Yep, Sprint has more stations on-air than any other carrier.
  19. Meaning across the market, not just your specific site.
  20. This morning I saw the second carrier in Woodside broadcasting from some legacy Clearwire sites, which was awesome to see. Speeds north of 40mbps while waiting for the 7 train.
  21. I was under the impression that 800 voice was active on almost all the sites as well.
  22. Last I checked almost 90% of NV 1.0 sites were complete, so rip and replace appears to have slowed down simply because the bulk of the sites are done. Now it's adding B41 to sites which do not have it, and lighting up the second B41 carrier.
