  1. Yes, he is using the aftermarket solid lead back. AJ
  2. Björk driving a massive truck and getting a dental exam from a gorilla is far more interesting... AJ
  3. S4GRU does not host complaints. And if you complain once more You'll meet an army of Björk, an army of Björk AJ
  4. Uh, if he is trying to set a pick, beware. AJ
  5. No, that is just lack of knowledge on your part. Multiple band 41 TD-LTE 2600 handsets were authorized prior to the authorization of the iPhone 5s/5c. And that is the problem with Apple. It used to be a scrappy, innovative company. Now, it is a company obsessed with exclusion, domination, and profit. That is a shame... AJ
  6. What a minimally educated Sprint sales rep tells you does not indemnify you against violation of Sprint's Ts and Cs. If you plan on using "unlimited" Sprint data to transfer dozens of gigabytes per month as a supplement/replacement for capped home broadband, then you deserve to get booted ASAP -- especially if you engage in illicit tethering. Discussion of such also violates S4GRU rules. This site is not going to engender those who think it appropriate to suck the "unlimited" teat for as much as they can to the detriment of others. S4GRU's mission is to educate what Network Vision entails, where/when deployment is occurring, and how to use this newly rebuilt network sustainably. AJ
  7. The simple answer is that you should be using Wi-Fi at home. "Unlimited" wireless mobile data is a tenuous prospect. If you want it to last as long as possible, then you should help it along by offloading at home, where you should have a secure broadband connection. AJ
  8. No. Do not bother Sprint CS with this issue. You will get just platitudes and misinformation. You are calling entry level phone operators, not engineers. AJ
  9. Important announcement: Anyone else who gets a pre release G2, do not get greedy and muck with the band settings. Live with the default for a few days and report your findings. You will be part of our control group. AJ
  10. In that situation, Sprint is not going to "ameliorate your home broadband data cap," as I state in my previous post. You are using hundreds of gigabytes per month through your DOCSIS connection. If your cap is 300 GB, yet you use an average of 350 GB per month, you cannot shunt that extra 50 GB over to Sprint. A reasonable person would see that constitutes abuse of an "unlimited" connection. AJ
  11. As far as what the network broadcasts, there should be only one MCC-MNC per site. And that is what we see on the engineering screens. So, there should be no difference between handsets and mobile hotspots if both are on the same band. But from what I understand, the UEs themselves may use a different MCC-MNC. I read that in regard to VZW -- one MCC-MNC for the network, another MCC-MNC for the UEs. The purpose of that? I have no idea. I do not understand why the UEs (or, more accurately, their SIM cards) need to be assigned an MCC-MNC. AJ
  12. It will be 310-120. All Sprint band 25 LTE 1900 deployment thus far uses that MCC-MNC. In Denver, Robert encountered band 41 TD-LTE 2600 under 311-490. Below is the expected pool of MCC-MNCs: 310-120 Sprintcom 311-490 Sprintcom 311-870 Sprintcom 311-880 Sprintcom 311-940 Clearwire316-010 Nextel AJ
  13. No, not entirely. The UL Channel 65535 is a null value (16 bit 1111111111111111). The DL Channel 8665 is correct, but the UL Channel should be 26665. Either the engineering screen does not function properly, or that handset is not connected on the uplink. AJ
  14. That is not the point. The point is, as in years past, Apple treats Sprint like a second class citizen. Apple provides VZW a CDMA2000 iPhone; Sprint does not get the same until the next iPhone. Apple provides VZW (and AT&T) an LTE capable iPad; Sprint does not get the same until the next iPad. This year, with both iPhone and iPad, Apple leaves out band 41 TD-LTE 2600 for Sprint. But you can practically guarantee to get that "the next time." AJ
  15. Most people would not prefer to carry around something the size of an LTE tablet, as it would not be pocketable. Plus, even people who rarely use voice capabilities still need to make/take a phone call every now and then, and they probably use SMS quite often. A handset fits the bill; a tablet does not. AJ
  16. Yeah, knock, knock, knock. Get the lead out. Would you hurry up and get off the pot? AJ
  17. The G2 has not yet been released. People are jumping the gun. Sprint must be punishing them for violating their NDA. AJ
  18. Okay, let me give you a topic. The American Revolution was neither American nor a revolution. Discuss... AJ
  19. Does Jenny's brother think he is a bigger man than I am? I will blind him with science. AJ
  20. For anyone who apparently deemed my post "trolling," you are wrong. And you need to get a thicker skin. Fraydog teed it up, and I drove the green. I take advantage of those humorous opportunities in countless threads at S4GRU. My post here was relevant commentary on iOS devices being behind the times, especially as that pertains to Sprint. Plus, it was just sharp comedy. If you cannot see and appreciate that, then you are in too deep with iOS apologetics. At S4GRU, an iOS related thread is not your private sandbox. Criticism is welcome. Apple has been no friend to Sprint, so if any animosity bubbles to the surface, you should understand that. AJ
