  1. What do you mean by "integrated"? You do not have control over which codec the network uses. AJ
  2. No, but if you prefer, you can get fried chicken crumbs sprinkled on your sundae. AJ
  3. Well, one benefit of each device being assigned a globally unique IPv6 address is that, for those who break the rules and get banned, Robert can also ban their handsets from accessing S4GRU ever again. AJ
  4. I was commenting on "user error," not your situation. AJ
  5. We used to call those "ID10T" errors. AJ
  6. Remember what happened to all T-Mobile threads a few months ago? It can happen again. So, take that to heart, everyone. AJ
  7. If calls are being answered in your pocket while you are walking, you should say to your phone "Hey, can't you see I'm walkin' here? I'm walkin' here!" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c412hqucHKw AJ
  8. I wonder if there has been considerable Nexus pushback from Android handset OEMs. Basically, they get to manufacture high end handsets for Google, which then sells them at a cut rate, thereby undercutting the OEMs' own branded flagships. Like it or not, Google, unlike Apple, needs the triumvirate of Samsung, HTC, and LG. Otherwise, Android is in deep trouble, since Google's full vertical integration via Motorola did not last long at all. AJ
  9. I stay awake at night wondering if there really is a dog. AJ
  10. Broiled pigeon? Oh, not recently. Robert read that pigeons were high in cholesterol. AJ
  11. Well, answer a few questions. Have you set up your Nexus 5 with a place of its own? Is your Nexus 5 of "mixed race"? Do you take your Nexus 5 to sporting events but not take your wife? Do you not want your Nexus 5 associating with that minority (market share) operator T-Mobile? Hmm... AJ
  12. Does your wife know about this? Maybe you are like Donald Sterling. You simultaneously have a wife and a girlfriend -- the Nexus 5. AJ
  13. Let us just hope that it is not John Legere holding a spotlight and cackling like The Joker. AJ
  14. You have already gone back and edited at least one of your previous posts, so that is implicit admission that you made a mistake, changed your mind, or "moved the goalposts." Honestly, I am not sure why you are bothering to defend Comcast. It is a major player in our broadband dysfunction and arguably the most disliked company in the country. This is a serious question: do you have a vested interest? AJ
  15. Yep, you guys keep fighting over second, third, fourth, fifth place... AJ
  16. No, it was cletus' complaint. You replied to and directly quoted his post. Either you are "moving the goalposts" or you made a mistake in your quote selection earlier in the thread. AJ
  17. Whoa, ho, ho, I do not get up that early. AJ
  18. Hold on. How can you say unequivocally that the complaint is "unwarranted"? cletus specifically used the qualifier "here." Do you have experience with his ISP where "here" is to him? I doubt it. To add to the data set, I do not have many complaints about my local ISP, but since I upgraded to a DOCSIS 3.0 cable modem a few years ago, I have consistently seen over provisioning on the uplink that persists for a few seconds, then is throttled back to a lower rate. However, the lower rate is at/near the advertised level, so I am primarily receiving a perk. AJ
  19. With Robert largely unavailable until next month, I have been shorting S4GRU. I project that S4GRU value will trend downward until Robert returns. AJ
  20. Josh, let us be clear. This is not "recertification." That would be a Class II Permissive Change filing for the original Galaxy S III. This is a completely different handset. AJ
  21. Again, I get that -- or I completely do not follow you. My opinion does not count for much, but 4x2 MIMO is bastardized terminology. MIMO should be reserved for discrete spatial streams, not spatial diversity. So, 4x2 MIMO is really 2x2 MIMO repeated. And in MIMO, 2x2 times two does not equal four discrete spatial streams. In other words, 4x2 MIMO is 2x2 MIMO with spatial diversity, which is nothing new in the wireless industry. Now, T-Mobile's 4x2 MIMO infrastructure may be superior to Sprint's 2x2 MIMO infrastructure. No doubt. However, T-Mobile is basically putting all of its eggs in one basket. The band 4 LTE deployment is its end all, be all. Sprint has more eggs in its basket. And if we are going with the 4x2 MIMO parlance, then some Sprint Spark band 41 LTE deployment should rightly be deemed 8x2 MIMO. AJ
