  1. Install went smoothly albeit a bit long..using note 4 now; will come back later after I put some miles on this new car! Sent from my SM-N910P using Tapatalk
  2. ...also Google cloud storage is cheaper than Apple's at the moment..I guess we live in the world of monopolies now..Google, Apple, Verizon, ATT,Walmart,et al...pick your poison...for now, at least, in the wireless space Sprint & Tmo are forcing disruption in the space..->read lower data costs..hope it continues..
  3. Yeah,,Photos for OS X is pretty nice; I don't carry an iPhone or iPad so its total value is lost on me; Google Photos works very well and I believe Google will keep improving it to keep pace with Apple
  4. I'll be downloading it as well...Photos for OS X as it is being called replaces both iPhoto & Aperture; I hope its at least as good as Google Photos (I'm an Android Geek); don't think I'm going to use the new Photos app as I do not have any IOS devices...still curious tho..
  5. Does the Zing Hotspot now have an unlimited plan? I thought it maxed at 12 GB.. things must be changing fast around dataville, USA..
  6. Got it...thanx Sent from my SM-N910P using Tapatalk
  7. It won't let me enable Hotspot on my note 4 Sent from my SM-N910P using Tapatalk
  8. I recently had Sprint move me from Framily to Family (on the advice of Rocket87...thanx Rocket) but nowhere do I see a hotspot function in my account; chatted with Sprint about it and she claimed it was an extra cost add-on.. what am I missing here? Does my phone need to be re-provisioned for this hotspot functionality to show up? Do I have to wait till my current cycle is over? TIA
  9. Finally got it via chat on the sprint website..had to kind of wrangle it out of the chat person, however, as they initially wanted $130 for two lines unlimited.. i think they simply want to rid themselves of the Framily plans that they potentially lose money on...and I'm not a big data hog so they gave it to me...nice to know that I now have unlimited data should I ever need it..
  10. THanx for the heads up...I'll look into it today...would not mind having unlimited data for the same price if that indeed is possible..
  11. Simple..2 person Framily: $100 + $8.98 fees & surcharges (both lines have 1 GB data and unlimited talk & text)
  12. If your passenger had a macbook it might have downloaded an os x update; 5.5 gb in 1 hr is very doable given even a modest 4g LTE connection; my Zing Manager totals for about 1 year of use about 45 GB.. I've averaged 3-4 GB /month in 2014; I don't believe the counter resets on its own..if you do a factory reset of the zing I suspect the counters get reset
  13. Yup...probably...phone exhibits great battery life and has excellent audio/sound reproductions...even has wi-fi calling capabilities after the kit-kat update..
  14. I'd get here the Kyocera Vibe...water proof to 3 ft and drop proof...I dropped this phone from about 3 1/2 ft at a Starbucks one day to a hard tiled floor..no problema...but it's a small phone..but a good one..I have a Note4 now because I wanted the S-Pen but it DEFINITELY will be easier to drop and YES I'm more aware of it when I'm handling it BUT people tend to get preoccupied and WHAMO there goes $700
  15. Maybe just me but since this last update my battery is not lasting thru the day like it used to. ..give it some more time Sent from my SM-N910P using Tapatalk
  16. Surprised to see a software update this AM on my shiny new Note 4; (Samsung/kies); still at Kit Kat 4.4.4 so this must be a tweak of the firmware that I've been reading about; (136 MB)Better battery life, wi-fi issues, et al...maybe a positioning of the software base for Lollypop due out early next year...anyone else see this?
  17. Tried the new Google Messenger...could not get it to work when I have wifi on; worked fine otherwise; my Note4 is on wifi 95% of the time around here unless i'm on the road..I do a lot of wifi calling with the Note4...best ever!.. NEVER heard voice clearer and cleaner before now with the Note 4 & wifi calling
  18. "Wa wa wa wa wa wa anda! SHhhhh! Don't tell anyone about the key...Wa wa wa wa nda..." Great, Robert glad to see someone out there loves the classics..Planes Trains & Automobiles is another of my alltime favs along with Caddy Shack...dating myself here Stay warm up there...remember the Sioux managed to survive those winters for eons until someone killed off all the Buffalo...( mild political statement here..apologies to those offended)
  19. I've given up on hangouts for the time being;using Textra instead for messaging Sent from my SM-N910P using Tapatalk
  20. Remember the movie " A Fish Called Wanda"..a classic so after reading the above I have to ask "what was the middle part"? Man, this is deep stuff!!!
  21. Purely anecdotal comparisons here: I carry my Zing around with my new N4 and comparing both in identical locations I've found that the N4 is 3-5 db down from the Zing ( a known RF beast of a performer IMHO); most of my comparisons have been for B25; B41 where I've connected the Zing & N4 seem comprable; so for me the new N4 is a solid RF performer way better than any other smartphone that I have owned..
  22. I'll try again without using WiFi Sent from my SM-N910P using Tapatalk
