  1. The only question at this point from me would be: Throttling still appears apply at the 23gb limit. Does the 14gb of mobile hotspot count against that 23gb limit?
  2. Whoa. The unlimited plan INCLUDES 14GB of Mobile HotSpot?
  3. 3X CA on B41 is awesome, but is this the first time 2X B25 has been supported? Not even sure that Sprint is capable of using it, but its intriguing nonetheless...
  4. To be clear - the 4-line tmobile unlimited plan is cheaper than the old Sprint ED1500 plan. Primary ED1500 - $110 Each additional Line - $20 (X3) Each lines 'premium data' charge - $10. (X4) ====================================== Sprints ED1500 (for 4 lines) comes out to ~$210, PLUS Taxes and any Equpiment Fee's or TEP. Tmobile scored big on that one. Not sure its sustainable, but that is an awesome deal for someone who lives in an area with great Tmobile Coverage. Wow..
  5. I'm going to be absolutely livid if any wife and I land in Cancun next week and our phones don't work. I had no issue with mine in Canada, so I'm hoping Mexico goes as smoothly.
  6. I'm not talking about earnings. I'm talking about re/code's first three paragraphs suggesting that Sprint is about to embark on a 'radical overhaul' of its network:
  7. We all need to keep perspective here. Nobody would be shitting razor blades if it wasnt for the re/code article that has been called into question by multiple outlets. Sprint's silence on the matter is a bit concerning, but I'm fairly sure they stay mum on that type of stuff anyway.
  8. EXACTLY. The fact is (IMO) that the majority of cell phone users don't care about actual speeds. They really don't. We have 5 lines in our Sprint plan and only one of us has actually ever ran a speed test (ME.) I've personally persuaded 5 other people into coming to Sprint (4 of which I got the referral bonus for, 1 who did not fill out their form on time.) Know how I did it? Literally took time out of my life, went to their house, and let them use my phone for a bit. They placed calls from their basements. They wanted to make sure they could use Twitter. They wanted to make sure they got text messages. I ran a speed test when I arrived and showed it to them, but the replies were all along the lines of 'oh wow, thats cool!' but they had no idea what the difference is between a 25Mbps download speed and a 80Mbps download speed, nor did they care. They wanted to know it would work. The actual speeds are a good way for us techy folks to feel comfortable with the network and improvements, but I lean on the fact that most people could give two shits about actual speeds. Know what pisses them off? When they are sitting with friends having a beer and they are unable to get Facebook to refresh. Its silly - but that's what I've seen in this area. I am extrapolating that out and guessing that far less than 10% of Sprint customers give a damn about actual speeds.
  9. Had I known that, I would not have posted the question to begin with. Thanks for the info. My surprise was that this was the first time I've seen uploads peak over the 14.7mb that I thought previously attainable.
  10. Folks - precursory note: No need to run out and do speed tests. I have always in the back of my head, from somewhere, thought the maximum speed that Sprint will achieve on uploads was 14.7ish mb. Is this still the case? Was it ever the case? I went through all of my speed tests that I have done over the past year or so (approximately 25) and none were over 14.72mb (on any band)... until today. I was inside of the local grocery store waiting on some doughnuts and decided to speed test. 27.10mb download with 22.55mb UPLOAD. This was on a B25 10x10 carrier. Is that unexpected? It was to me!
  11. This literally says everything we need to know.
  12. Thanks for the report... Where do you see IOS settings > Carrier? I do not have that on 9.0.2.
  13. When I am in Houston, I stay at the Royal Sonesta near the Galleria and am working short walk from San Felipe and Sage Rd. I drop to 3G in the elevators but that is about it. I'll say it like this - I do not experience enough issue with cell service where I find it necessary to run a speed test. *shrug* It just works. I'm going back a few weeks in Jan, so I'll run some speed tests just because I'm now curious. With as many offices, hotels, and other buildings as there are in the area, along with frequently snarled traffic on 610, I'm actually a little surprised that things seem to perform as well as they do. I do my part and grab wifi when available.
  14. This definitely validates the Sprint experience I have had in Houston. IMO, the network felt as strong, if not stronger, than what I experience in Chicago.
  15. Actually really happy with my AWS. Unless they are going to add DAYS onto the battery capacity, I have no complaints. I put it on first thing in the morning, and take it off last thing before I go to bed - I dont think it has ever fallen below 25%. Have had it on since 5am this morning, and its now 10:20pm, and I am sitting at 40%. That includes a 30 minute run as well. Currently really the only thing that would make me ditch this version and get a 'new' version is if Apple ever came through with the rumors back in the day about blood glucose readings. Type 1 Diabetic here - that type of technology would be a game changer. Sounds as if it wont happen now - too much FDA related stuff apparently. Anyway - point being I like my Apple Watch Sport much much more than I ever thought I would.
  16. IN. I'm an apple guy, but this would be a neat way to get back into androids (and SCP. )
  17. Thanks for the education. So what do you guess is going on then?
  18. It's a big variance though. I am guessing misconfigured site.
  19. Agree. Something very odd going on there. Misconfigured site?
  20. The NC widget is, admittedly, my most missed feature as well. Super happy that the app itself still works though - I'm just lazy and wish I could see it in the NC.
  21. Sometimes their coverage maps are sorely outdated. Example - we have had B41 up and going for MONTHS here, and still no spots of yellow on the coverage map. I'm sure its a fine line to walk between being precise, accurate, and timely.
