Thanks I didn't know that.
But the reality at home I just turn on the TV. In fact I have never used the Sprint TV. In fact I just checked it is not in my applications.
If you are on a custom ROM, then chances are they removed the 'bloatware' that Sprint put on. Later I will upload the apk to my DropBox and post the link in the General Sub-Forum.

There are some services that require CDMA such as Sprint TV which will not run through WIFI no matter how fast.
Actually, some Sprint TV channels now work on WiFi. Took Sprint long enough to make that available.

Simple, FDD LTE uses less bandwidth and provides nearly the same capabilities. To me, that's a good thing.

What is it with the rain?
Every time it rains in PA my cable internet gets all balled up!
I then connect to my wireless tether via the epic touch.
The internet on the phone is fine!
Weird!

It could be a damaged cable line either on your property or somewhere between the switch and your place. I had my home phone line go out a few years ago because water got in and rusted the wires. 2 or 3 days without phone service. And are you using 3G or 4G on your Epic Touch?

I'm not a radio antenna engineer. I'm just telling you what I've read.
I'll put the article on my list of to-do's and see what it says. Thanks.

Do you?
That's under a reeaallly heavy network load, I've seen 400mbps down.
This happens sometimes too.
Holy Cow!!!!!!! How much do you pay for that speed?

I'm curious about how Sprint will future proof Unlimited LTE once there are a larger number of customers. Is it possible they could adopt Clear's policy about charging for tiered data speeds? Or that won't ever be an issue once Carrier Aggregation is ready to go.

The nexus S just got ICS in April. We can differ on the fact of whether it is last year or not; However manufactured in 2011 seems pretty much like last year if you ask me.!
That really depends on the phone. The Galaxy Nexus is a flagship phone. The Evo Shift was also built last year and discontinued a few days shy of a year old. Even though it's last year's phone, it's worse than being last years tech.

I know. And after hearing about some issues with the Chicago rollout, I was expecting LATE end of the year. It may just be a upgrade to EVDO, but I find it hard to believe going to that trouble and then coming back in a few months and doing more work.
Granted, when does Sprint ever make sense.
And that brings us all back to the question about new towers, did they just get plain upgrades and aren't ready for NV, or will they be partly NV ready from the time they are turned on?

Yeah, I'll definitely have to keep it. It's the only way I'll have enough data to work at home. Just with the horrible 3G speeds I get now, if I do decide to get a capped 4G and keep my unlimited 3G plan as backup, I might have to think about getting 4G from AT&T now rather than waiting for LTE. I don't know...at least the 12GB with Sprint is much better than the 5GB than AT&T so it might still be worth the wait.
My neighbor works for CenturyLink and he's been after them for years to get DSL with no luck. He works on installing T-1 lines in the area, so next time I see him I'll have to ask him about additional lines he might know about coming to some of the local towers.
Yeah, definitely. Do you use more than 12GB/mo? I've been known to use almost 100GB/mo. at&t cut my friends unlimited data card because I used over 50GB 2 months in a row.
-
And if that's the case, AT&T has 4G now (HSPA+, but still) where I am, so do I even need to really wait for Sprint LTE?
I don't know... ruined my day.
I understand your dilemma. I have gone thru it. And at&t is the worst about killing unlimited plans. They did with my friends data card a few years back, and we couldn't get by with 5GB/mo. Keep your data card for now. And hopefully your local utilities would come soon for high speed internet.

I really don't understand why T-mobile would want to roll out LTE at all. I don't see it having any advantage for them over HSPA+.
I don't either, except for the fact that every other carrier in the US is transitioning over to it. T-Mobile's HSPA+ network is already faster in some areas than at&t & VZW, and the next step is to go to HSPA+84.
