  1. I want this phone on Sprint! 4 inch screen' date=' S4 processor, 1gb ram, removable battery. Come on Sprint! EVO design 2. Make it so.[/quote']

According to an article I read online, this is Verizon's version of the One S. This is carrier number 2 to carry the One S, so it is possible Sprint may carry it later this year.

  3. I get that Sprint is hurting for revenue etc but c'mon this combined with the family plan changes will up my monthly bill by $11/mo. or $132/yr. So basically I am paying an additional month for my service. What do I get for the increased cost in terms of utility? It doesn't drop my deductible (it increases). It doesn't increase my network speeds (they have decreased). It doesn't give me faster phone upgrades (they have lengthened the period between upgrades).

I am actually getting fed up with Sprint right now because this bill creep keeps happening and I am frankly tired of it. Network Vision sounds cool and I hope it turns out well. However, what also sounds cool is paying $10 more than Sprint will be charging me AND having a complete network on Verizon.

As far as upping the monthly rate for insurance, that only applies to LTE phones. And I agree changes to discounts on rate plans isn't fun. But in the next year and a half, almost the entire Sprint network will be over-hauled and over-layed with LTE and it will be seamless, except where Sprint doesn't have coverage. Give them a chance. I am, and my service got worse after 6 months of having Sprint but has been getting better this year.

  4. It's because the 3GS has a certain boot rom that makes every jailbreak untethered.

the newer boot rom 3Gs' are limited to tethered on iOS 5.1 right now. They changed the bootrom midstream, but my replacement still had the old one.

  5.

Odds are it's taking a while because there technically is an untethered 5.1 JB out there' date=' however I'm thinking their exploit can't be made public since it required an apple dev account. Same thing happened with the 5.0.1 4S JB. We'll get it in due time.

My old 3Gs is the best for jailbreaks. Limerain has made it untethered for life. :)

  6. That's probably it. I don't think we're going to have to wait much longer for 5.1 to be untethered though.

Hopefully not. I have 2 iPhone's to update to 5.1 for others, but just waiting for the untether.
