  1. I like my job title. Being the FCC OET guy is fun. But there sure hasn't been much going on in the FCC database for Sprint lately.
  2. Hey Lower Central Valley people! We have the LTE's in McFarland now! I just saw the track on the 99 on Sensorly! Someone go check it out and add to it! I'll be back through this weekend and add what I can!
  3. Wow, this thread has taken a really awkward turn today. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  4. Someone at Sprint made a mistake. The HTC One Max has roaming capabilities just like every other Sprint device.
  5. Speaking of serial number fails, when I had my iPhone 5 replaced by Apple in October, they said my iPhone should automatically register with Sprint, but something went wrong on their end, and my new serial number never transferred. Good thing I was able to do a device swap online to fix it. The most common device issues are related to numbers not being done right. Good thing the fix was so easy for the both of you.
  6. The Netgear AC778S, as mentioned above: looks to be the first Spark Enabled tri-band prepaid device. If this is the case, the Netgear AC778S is the Netgear Mingle, and it's coming to Virgin Mobile. 7. Nothing at this moment in time that we are aware of. If we do find something soon, then it would sure be a good thing. Only Spark devices so far are LG, Samsung, and 1 HTC.
  8. Potentially. I'm not sure how far the signal extends. And it depends on the phone you have, if its 1x800 capable. I was only driving down 99. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  9. That sounds like the private version of ILU's (Individual Liability User)'s on a corporate account. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  10. I hate monopolized ISP's. That's why I'm glad we have 2 fixed wireless ISP's now that offer really good service in Pahrump. One uses microwave backed backhaul of around 600Mbps from Vegas, and Digis is upgrading to 600Mbps or 1Gbps microwave backhaul in from Vegas soon. Things are finally looking up for internet service in Pahrump. Oh, and when I'm not home, I only pay $10/ month for a vacation rate. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  11. I have never been able to find any service for a complete unlock of Sprint phones online. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  12. They flat out told me they won't upgrade the copper in my area. I may be mad, but I know they won't upgrade the lines. As for Digis, for microwave based Internet, it's very stable, and I love it. We only have the cheapest plan, but 3 Mbps is fine for me in home.
  13. Crappy service. I know of people who said t-mobile had decent 3G in Pahrump when it first was turned on, and has degraded down to about the same speeds I have on Sprint 3G at home. AT&T had the same thing happen, and it's settled out to 1.5 to 2 Mbps consistently. I hear tmobile's data is still getting worse.
  14. Frankly, I trust at&t more than I do T-Mobile, Straight Talk (and all of Tracfone's brands for that matter), and even Verizon. I just saved my friend from Straight Talk and we ported her number back to at&t, (port should be done today or tomorrow). Since she will only be paying $3 more in taxes per month than Straight Talk's $45, it'll be better than having a carrier that cancel's peoples service for no apparent reason.
  15. When I finally have some normal free time, I'll go back through southern Nevada and build a map for at&t, Verizon, and T-Mobile in Clark County Nevada. Since I have good access to all the major permitting offices, it'll take time to build the maps, but easy to extract the info. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  16. It's a Fios thread. Fios is a home ISP after all.
  17. Tower companies usually own the towers now. That may he the case with the new at&t. If Sebastion is the only fiber company around, that may be the problem you face. If Sprint couldn't get a good deal on fiber backhaul fees, they will pipe it in with another provider, or go the microwave route until they can negotiate a proper contract. 18. I don't think it can stop bullets unfortunately. But so far, I've never had an encounter being on the wrong side of a gun. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  19. Believe it or not, I found the case on Amazon, and decided on it because blue is my favorite color, and they had it in blue. I didn't notice the typo until I saw their webpage. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  20. The Acequia site is broadcasting from the NV panels otherwise I wouldn't have 1x800 voice. I wonder why you still have little to no service at your house. But then again, I have the same 1x800 voice signal as my eHRPD signal, so maybe they have the downtilt exactly the same. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  21. Yeah, they apparently weren't paying attention when they put that page together.
  22. So I'm going to be ordering this case for my Nexus 5. http://www.i-blason.com/armorbox-dual-layer-hybrid-protective-case-for-google-nexus-5-by-lg.html?color=24 And if anyone is really interested in an extended battery for their Nexus 5, I-Blason has one on pre-order for 49.95. http://www.i-blason.com/powerglider-rechargeable-external-battery-case-for-google-nexus-5.html. It has a 2500mAh battery built in. Looks decent. Wonder when it'll be released.
