  1. Republic could benefit with this phone because of the WiFi VOIP capability. And who wants GrooveIP when you can have an all-in-one solution from Sprint?
  2. I just checked the FCC OET. Nothing yet. :/ Sent from Josh's iPhone 5S using Tapatalk 2
  3. You are such a troublemaker! I already have friends that will go to Sprint, just have to get them to go to the store. Sent from Josh's iPhone 5S using Tapatalk 2
  4. Just got line number 2 on my Framily. I'm working on #'s 3-5. Sent from Josh's iPhone 5S using Tapatalk 2
  5. I didn't know about that. Thanks! Sent from Josh's iPhone 5S using Tapatalk 2
  6. In many cases, yes. But US Cellular has been very resistant, except for the Chicago area spectrum they sold to Sprint. Sent from Josh's iPhone 5S using Tapatalk 2
  7. I'm not familiar with multipath TCP. I'll have to research that one out. I am familiar with the concept. Didn't know it's name until you mentioned it. Apple implemented it with the release of iOS7. I wondered why my connection didn't drop as hard when going from wifi to cellular data recently.
  8. I found Band Class 10 outside of Bakersfield going up to Tehachapi! Sprint is starting deployment of 1x800 voice in the Bakersfield area now. I'll check in Tehachapi too! (No PRL modifications since we can't with the 5S.) Sent from Josh's iPhone 5S using Tapatalk 2
  9. Really now? Verizon has had problems with permits, and some of their permits in Vegas took 3 years to be approved. AT&T has had similar delays in Vegas. T-Mobile is having delays too. Hmm.... I think you've been suffering from mis-information. Sent from Josh's iPhone 5S using Tapatalk 2
  10. Unfortunately the single cell radio path is the way Sprint Tri-band is going. Not much we can do to change Sprint's mind. I'm glad that this has increased battery life for Spark capable phones.
  11. Hopefully it's not a normal outage. I would like to see Clovis have a cluster acceptance very soon. Sent from Josh's iPhone 5S using Tapatalk 2
  12. No, in order to lower your bill, you will have to move to a Framily plan. And then either pay full price for your phone, or finance on EasyPay.
  13. I wondered about that myself, but not 100% sure, although it'd be nice.
  14. Based on the fact that 2yr subsidy pricing is going away, I don't know if it'll be released before the end of 2 yr pricing. But my guess is it'll have an MSRP of between 399.99 and 499.99.
  15. No, it'll just support greater bandwidth for larger carriers in band 25 if Sprint decides to deploy them. Sent from Josh's iPhone 5S using Tapatalk 2
  16. Update: LG at MWC has inadvertently outed the LG LS740 as the LG Volt, Sprint's next mid-range Spark phone. Please see this post for details. The LG LS740 article, LG's first mid-range tri-band for Sprint in 2014, is now up on the wall. http://s4gru.com/index.php?/blog/1/entry-359-lg-ls740-could-it-be-a-midrange-rf-powerhouse/
  17. Agreed. But I think that for the first half of this year, it'll be flagships that will have AC Wifi, mid-ranges should follow by the end of the year.
  18. New article up on the wall about the LG LS740. http://s4gru.com/index.php?/blog/1/entry-359-lg-ls740-could-it-be-a-midrange-rf-powerhouse/
  19. by Josh McDaniel Sprint 4G Rollout Updates Friday, January 31, 2014 This year is shaping up to be an interesting one for Sprint handsets. In 2012, 15 LTE devices were released on the then brand new Sprint LTE 1900 network, while last year saw a 100 percent increase to 30 devices. And this year could be just as big of a year as last. So, what better way to start 2014 off right than with a tri-band LTE phone? We present S4GRU's first FCC OET authorization article of 2014, the LG LS740, a midrange LG tri-band LTE handset not yet announced but presumably headed to Sprint. RF stats are pretty high for a midrange device, as you can see below. CDMA1X + EV-DO band classes 0, 1, 10 (i.e. CDMA1X + EV-DO 850/1900/800) LTE bands 25, 26, 41 (i.e. LTE 1900/800, TD-LTE 2600) band 25 LTE 3/5/10 MHz FDD carrier bandwidth band 26 LTE 1.4/3/5/10 MHz FDD carrier bandwidth band 41 LTE 10/15/20 MHz TDD carrier bandwidth LTE UE category 4 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi 802.11n MCS index 7 (single spatial stream, 20 MHz carrier bandwidth, 400 ns guard interval) SVDO and SVLTE support absent RF ERP/EIRP maximum: 22.121 dBm (CDMA1X 800), 21.081-22.621 dBm (CDMA1X/EV-DO 850), 23.14 dBm (CDMA1X/EV-DO 1900), 25.06-26.82 dBm (LTE 1900), 22.901-25.211 dBm (LTE 800), 24.9-26.29 dBm (TD-LTE 2600) NFC Antenna locations: notably absent from this article as LG has an on again/off again attitude about when it releases antenna diagrams Simultaneous transmission paths: (see FCC OET diagram below) According to the FCC OET docs and Sprint UA profile, system specs for this device are as follows: Qualcomm MSM8926 (aka Snapdragon 400) 4.7 in screen 540 x 960 screen resolution Android 4.4 KitKat Bluetooth 4.0 2 GB RAM 32 GB ROM microSD slot absent 1.3 MP front camera 8 MP rear camera with full HD (1920 x 1080) video recording sealed battery Expect this device to have a mid to late spring release, and it might be the replacement to the LG F3 (LS720) Sprint released last year. 20. I do know one thing he misses, and that's his Google Voice integration. Sent from Josh's iPhone 5S using Tapatalk 2
  21. I would file complaints with the FCC about CenturyLink then. Maybe they will extend out and offer you service. Even 1.5Mbps is better than nothing. I have a minimum plan at my house through a company called Digis for 3Mbps. You might want to try them as they offer service in 99% or more of Vegas. www.digis.net Sent from Josh's iPhone 5S using Tapatalk 2
  22. You really ought to consider home based internet if you are in the Vegas Metro area. My best friend has CenturyLink, and he gets decent speeds at home. And the price is even reasonable. Edit: I keep my ClearSpot Voyager as a backup now that I have U-Verse in Visalia, CA. And when I need WiMax in Vegas, I use it. However, you must be the reason my WiMax is slow everytime I come to Vegas.
  23. I'm giving my friend my iPhone 5. I didn't get the 5S because of the 800LTE capability, although there is the perk to it. I got mine because I got to eliminate my last remaining contract with Sprint. It feels good to not have 14 months hanging over my head before I am free to get another phone.
  24. I'm interested in the pricing for Vegas and Fresno as they keep going up. I'll be happy when it's over so we can see the winners too. Sent from Josh's iPhone 5S using Tapatalk 2
  25. There are some other department stores that use Anti-graffiti on their bathroom mirrors too.
