  1. It's not an issue of being skipped. They work on the next site that is available and ready. Each county and city has different permitting timelines and also backhaul availability varies drastically from site to site. Boca sites will be worked on when they are ready. 2. A new site is this weeks update in SE College Station. Robert via Samsung Note II via Tapatalk
  3. What you are encountering is not common with Network Vision work. I would call CS yourself and insist on a Ticket #. If you don't get a ticket number, then likely nothing has been filed for service. Also, I would inquire about a service credit for your bill for the inconvenience. Sorry I have no more info to provide about your issue. Best of luck. Robert via Samsung Note II via Tapatalk
  4. You will probably not see a bleep of 4G LTE for awhile. They are just now starting to do any work in the market. I would guess the first LTE testing signals will be around the first of the year. Robert
  5. It seems like a threshold adjustment would make a difference. However, with how much flack HTC and Sprint have been getting, you think if it was that easy, they would do that. It seems to be a much more difficult issue. We know when you put the EVO in LTE only mode, it will stay connected in the lower signal transition areas and hand off seamlessly from one LTE site to another. Yet, HTC has yet to provide a software update that will allow that to occur while in CDMA/LTE mode. I am hesitant to recommend the EVO to anyone at this time, unless they will only use the EVO 3G only or only need LTE in a static/non-mobile condition. Robert via Nexus 7 on Tapatalk
  6. I wouldn't fault the EVO if it just had an issue connecting to a signal. But it would also lose the signal before all the rest. It would too often lose signal transitioning to a new tower because the transition area was too weak for it, whereas the other devices would hang on. There was one time in Waco, where I handed off to four towers in a 5 minute time frame, all three other devices handed over no problems. But each time the EVO had to be cycled through airplane mode again to get a signal with the new site. If I didn't have other devices that were connecting to new sites, I probably would have assumed that I drove out of LTE coverage or a LTE site was down. Robert via Nexus 7 on Tapatalk
  7. Attention All: Due to an aggressive schedule this week with work, doctor appointments because of a prolonged illness and personal commitments the first half of the week and family and travel plans the second part of the week and weekend, my availability to respond to posts, PM's and emails will be limited. I thank you in advance for your understanding. May you all have a great Thanksgiving holiday week. My best to you and yours. Robert via Nexus 7 using Forum Runner
  8. No way to know. It is completely a negotiated deal. Robert via Samsung Note II via Tapatalk

  10. You would think so, but the farther it goes, the weaker it is. Cell density is the way to get better PCS signal. Not trying to throw it farther and getting mediocre results. Robert via Samsung Note II via Tapatalk
  11. Ericsson is doing the inspections for Sprint in a lot of AlcaLu and Samsung markets. Robert via Samsung Note II via Tapatalk
  12. I will have some info by Saturday in a head to head comparison between the GS3 and the Note 2 (among others). However, if you are buying on Friday, that won't help much. Robert via Samsung Note II via Tapatalk

  14. I'm pretty sure AT&T has 10x10 in Atlanta. AT&T LTE should be faster than Sprint regardless of 1900 or 800, at least until it bogs down. VZW 10MHz LTE channels are bogging down and AT&T likely will too. But there are a lot more VZW LTE devices out there than AT&T at the present time. The biggest issue between AT&T and Sprint LTE is the amount of current coverage. Sprint still doesn't even have half the market converted. Robert via Samsung Note II via Tapatalk

  16. No need for another site visit. At the bottom of the panels are an automated downtilt adjustment mechanism for the internal antennas that can adjust up to 10 degrees. So they are starting out 10 degrees higher than final design downtilt. When neighboring cells come online, they can remotely increase the downtilt down to design setting. Pretty cool. 17. I lived in Vacaville for 7 years. It's a pretty nice suburban town. And LTE makes it even better. The last time I was there was Fall 2009, and I ate a BBQ joint there called, "Hand Me a Rib." I still laugh about the name of that place. Robert via Samsung Note II via Tapatalk
  18. Yeah, the limited downtilt sends the signal much farther out, but makes it very susceptible to ground clutter down low. If they had the downtilt down at the optimal setting, you wouldn't be able to get it high or low in that location. Robert via Samsung Note II via Tapatalk

  22. I received some information from ISN just like everyone else, so I certainly do not mind the return. I just want ISN to not bring any more scrutiny by Sprint and hopefully will handle things differently. Robert
  23. It looks like on the Sprint Coverage maps that they have LTE service live in the Fort Valley of Virginia. If anyone finds themselves available to run Sensorly down Fort Valley and plot the coverage, that would be great. I haven't been to Fort Valley since 1991. I really enjoyed it there. A lot of peaceful solitude. Robert
  24. Please...please, please do not bring up Premium Data. Thankfully you are in a market being actively deployed. It is always darkest before the dawn. Robert via Nexus 7 on Tapatalk
