He has an iPhone. It does show LTE strength in its bars. Robert via Samsung Note II via Tapatalk

I'm not sure. I do think that VZW doesn't want to be required to support LTE roaming. And if devices are not capable, that's a convenient insulator. Robert via Samsung Note II via Tapatalk

Verizon has the scale that they could have required it. I think VZW may have delayed Band 4 adoption as a strategy not to allow competing carriers to get ahold of devices. Robert via Samsung Note II via Tapatalk

I'm pretty sure someone has a custom ROM that is reporting incorrectly. Robert via Samsung Note II via Tapatalk

On my rural site, VZW LTE speeds are staying 15-20Mbps. However, most of the other sites in the area have dropped to 2-8Mbps. Definitely feeling the strain. Robert via Samsung Note II via Tapatalk

That has not been said. However, their backhaul is scalable. But 100-150Mbps is going to be tough for any carrier to deploy over an entire network. This is not a Sprint issue. It's logistics. Robert via Samsung Note II via Tapatalk

No service in that area yet. The market is actively being deployed and they are allowing early connections to sites that are complete. Personally, I don't need LTE at my home. I have WiFi. I need LTE where I go. LTE at home is a novelty, and a milestone. It's not a necessity. Robert via Samsung Note II via Tapatalk

Open Signal is not a good app for finding sites. It is not accurate. It is not finding Sprint LTE sites in your area at all. I'd stop using that app for LTE. In its current form it will just give you meaningless info that will confuse and frustrate you. Robert via Nexus 7 on Tapatalk

So...which Sprint phone has the best RF quality?
S4GRU replied to Ascertion's topic in Network, Network Vision/LTE Deployment
There is a direct correlation to the 'RF scores' and radio performance in most of the devices. But there were anomalies. Robert via Nexus 7 on Tapatalk -
The S-CT market is not ready to go. They are converting one site at a time and it's a lengthy process. The very first LTE signals will be highly scattered. After the first few sites go live, then a few more will go live every week. It will be several months before the market completes. Robert via Nexus 7 on Tapatalk

They have a lot deployed in the market, and more goes live every week. But they are at least 3 month behind schedule. But still plugging away. Robert

I have seen plenty of NV work on weekends. A site In Progress can mean anything from work is imminently starting all the way up to work is fully complete and recently inspected. Also, each activity at a site is handled by different crews with different scopes of work and expertise. So a site that is In Progress may have some work complete and is waiting for the next trade to come and complete their work. That could be days or weeks. And that just might fall on a weekend too. The LTE is complete at the site. We just are awaiting confirmation from the field from a member that it is operating. Robert via Nexus 7 on Tapatalk

Obama Administration rejects Death Star proposal
S4GRU replied to xcharles718's topic in General Topics
I laughed really hard at this. This is funny. It reminds me of what Randall Stephenson said about how that AT&T/Tmo merger would create jobs. And how it would single handedly return America to prosperity. Robert via Nexus 7 on Tapatalk -
The one big panel with 4 RRU's attached is a combination CDMA 1900, CDMA 800, LTE 1900 panel (3G/4G combined). The legacy 3G panels beside will be deinstalled in a few weeks/months. Robert

I'm just trying to imagine any carrier being able to actually have a network band backhaul to handle speeds that fast. The air link will be much faster than the network can support. Robert via Samsung Note II via Tapatalk
