  1. That has happened to me quite a few times. The reason being is that Sprint is deploying LTE with little to no downtilt initially. They will adjust it down when more adjacent sites come online. However, the 1x does have downtilt. So you may be able to get LTE in places you don't get a Sprint Native CDMA Robert via Samsung Note II via Tapatalk
  2. That's not odd at all. Panels rarely point down, but rather straight out to a certain degree of downtilt. If you are under the panels the signal is shooting out over your head. Get a little ways out, especially with line of sight, this is best signal you can receive from a site. Robert via Samsung Note II via Tapatalk
  3. SE Kent. It's shown on the NV Sites Complete map. Robert via Nexus 7 with Tapatalk HD
  4. As much as you can afford. We need on average $20-$25 from each donator to cover our monthly costs. Some give more, some give less. We will let your wallet and your conscience be your guide. Please do not donate only a dollar, unless that is all you can afford. Robert via Nexus 7 with Tapatalk HD
  5. Ahhh yes. The Westin Bonaventure. Stayed there a few times and their pie shaped rooms. Enjoyed libations at the revolving lounge. I proposed to my wife at the restaurant on the top floor back in 1995. Good times. And now the Bonaventure is even better. Bathed in Sprint LTE. Robert via Nexus 7 with Tapatalk HD
  6. There are all different means in which a site gets listed as In Progress. Most are either member reports of seeing confirmed activity or we get site dispatch reports from a source. We do not get Site Dispatch reports for every site. Probably only about 20%. But a site dispatch report is an internal document that say the site is complete or nearly complete with predecessor activities (like permitting and backhaul) and the OEM/contractor can start work when they have materials and crews available. A site can sit In Progress for a day, or many months. The specifics at each site vary greatly and there are no hard fast rules for how long a site can be In Progress. I'm guessing they will handle the Western Kentucky market like the Missouri market. Start down in Glasgow and Bowling Green for the first month or two, then head up to the big city. 7. The prefix at the beginning on a Cascade ID does not denote market. It sure would be nice if they did. Some markets have 4 or 5 different prefixes. Robert via Nexus 7 with Tapatalk HD

  9. Nope. I don't know what the issue is particularly with that site. I rarely get info about specific sites and challenges on that level. I'm lucky to hear about problems even on a cluster or market level. Sprint's selected backhaul vendor for that site may not have access to the same fiber you're referring to. They may be using AAV or fiber from another location. Robert via Nexus 7 using Forum Runner
  10. Just GMO sites so far confirmed. I'm 90% certain that I saw the first full build site. But it's three hours away from me. Won't be going there any time soon to double check. Robert via Nexus 7 with Tapatalk HD
  11. Sounds like we are on the same page. Robert via Nexus 7 with Tapatalk HD
  12. I want to hear how you guys plan to hold Sprint accountable after your market launches in the next month or two. Really. Please do tell. If you feel the need to hold Sprint accountable for Network Vision deployment in Tampa, you need another carrier. Robert via Nexus 7 with Tapatalk HD
  13. Great Hotels Robert via Nexus 7 with Tapatalk HD
  14. More sites accepted this past week in PR/VI (mostly in the Metro) than the past few weeks actually. Robert via Nexus 7 with Tapatalk HD
  15. The 2nd West Washington site was accepted yesterday. It's off SR 520 in Redmond, next to the Microsoft campus. Surprise, surprise. Looking for someone on the Eastside to confirm whether it is active now. Memories. I built a hotel not far from this location. The Hyatt House off Redmond Way. Redmond was a great place to spend a few years. Robert via Nexus 7 with Tapatalk HD
  16. No way to tell from that photo. Robert via Nexus 7 with Tapatalk HD
  17. Whoa! Let's get a grip on this whole "accountability" thing. You can report service problems on a deployed site after launch. If you call that accountable, then fine. But if you plan on calling to bitch because your site isn't converted yet after the market has launched, then you should probably go find another carrier now. There will not be some miraculous accountable relationship that will magically appear after launch. Sprint is still Sprint. They will still do business they way they have. Work will still continue all over Tampa. Things will still go off and on. Some sites may stay off for extended times. And you will be inconvenienced. Count on it. The only difference is you can open a ticket to report a problem. Sprint will not be complete in the Tampa area for 8-12 more months. The only way to hold Sprint accountable for their actions is to leave. And the actions Sprint is taking now, and over the next 8-12 months is to bring you a brand new state of the art network, that gets activated one site at a time. Robert via Nexus 7 with Tapatalk HD
  18. You won't like the new Motorola Photon Q LTE device, then. It has pretty much equal performance to the GS3 on 1x/EVDO on 1900, but had less performance on 850MHz roaming and LTE. I was bummed that it wasn't on par with the OG Photon. In my testing, the Samsung Victory had the best radio performance of all Sprint LTE devices. However, I didn't test the iPhone 5. 20. I've not seen anyone complain, yet. Since you are in launched market, I would cal Sprint and report it. Make sure you get a ticket number. Robert via Nexus 7 with Tapatalk HD
  21. The whole state is under deployment. Even Orlando. Even the west side. Sites are worked on in batches. And they work on them in the order they become ready. It's coming. Robert via Nexus 7 with Tapatalk HD
  22. There will be no noticeable changes or accountability after launch. They will still be actively working in the market. Signals will still go down on occasion. The big difference is after launch, CSR's can report tickets though. But if you call after launch, you will still hear the same story..."There are Network Vision and LTE deployment crews in your area which may lead to service issues..." But the general rule of thumb is if the coverage is shown on the Sprint site, then the CSR's can see the sites and open tickets on service issues. Robert via Nexus 7 with Tapatalk HD
  23. They will launch when 40% of a city they can name has coverage, not 40% of the market. They will announce Tampa, Florida as launched when approximately 40%-50% of the metro area sites have been converted. They will likely announce other separate areas, like St. Pete, Brooksville, etc. when they get enough coverage too. Robert via Nexus 7 with Tapatalk HD
  24. I just added a third. LTE must be coming!!! Robert via Nexus 7 with Tapatalk HD
  25. They should be beginning soon, if they haven't already started. Robert via Nexus 7 with Tapatalk HD
