  1. Each site has two or three sectors. Each sector has a different Site ID. So each site will have two or three Site ID's. So it may have been the same site, or it could be another one. You Las Vegans should start a Cell ID tracking sheet like is being done in other markets. It will help you determine new sites and site locations. Robert via Samsung Note II via Tapatalk

  6. So far, no LTE sites have been accepted in the Delaware market. So this new discovery is either coming across the border from the Philadelphia Metro market, or there is a site in Delaware that is doing testing, but not been accepted from Sprint. Robert via Samsung Note II via Tapatalk
  7. Welcome. After you've had a chance to get the lay of the land around S4GRU, you should consider becoming a sponsor. You will get access to Sprint site maps, including maps of sites that have been upgraded. http://s4gru.com/index.php?/topic/1195-information-about-s4gru-sponsorship-levels-and-how-to-become-a-sponsor/ I hope to see you around. 9. LTE performance is highly variable depending on signal strength and quality. You can have anywhere between 1Mbps with a weak signal up to 37.5Mbps with a strong signal with unburdened sector and backhaul. Sprint is advertising 6-8Mbps. So they will try to maintain their network to meet those speeds with at least moderate range signals. Robert via Samsung Note II via Tapatalk
  10. BB is supposedly planning a 5 inch sized device later this year. If Sprint carries it, I think I'm going to pick it up. Robert via Nexus 7 with Tapatalk HD
  11. That church has a school. I wouldn't be surprised if they called Metro complaining that some geeks keep cruising their playgrounds. When in reality, they're actually cruising the adjacent cell tower. Robert via Nexus 7 with Tapatalk HD
  12. For me, the following things are very important to me, and I've put them in order of preference: 1. RF performance in fringe areas 2. Screen size/quality (I have big meaty paws) 3. Build quality/attractiveness of case design 4. Performance 5. Battery life 6. Bands supported 7. Developer support/ease of rooting & MODing In general on performance, it doesn't have to be the best on the market. It just has to be good enough. And for me, almost always flagship devices are good enough on performance. I do a lot of multi tasking and have come to rely on 2GB of RAM as the standard for me now. The least important thing to me is brand. I am not loyal to any one brand. I like and dislike things of every brand. The company that can deliver a device that has 6 of the 7 things I listed above, and they got my business. Things like camera to me are pretty unimportant. Also, I'm not married to an OS. As long as I can still use the apps that I need, I'm good. I'm intrigued with the new BB10 OS, where I can still run an Android app in a pinch if needed. Robert via Nexus 7 with Tapatalk HD
  13. It's the darkest before the dawn. They are just starting upgrades in your market. If you cannot wait a few months, then you should find another carrier. Robert via Nexus 7 with Tapatalk HD
  14. Ericsson RRU's have a green light with a slow blink when powered up. I am unsure about other OEM's. However, other carriers sometimes use Ericsson RRU's in some markets. Like AT&T. So an Ericsson RRU does not always mean Sprint. Robert via Nexus 7 with Tapatalk HD

  16. Unfortunately, the Sprint store employee is misinformed. Only GMO sites have been worked on to date. Full build sites with LTE are just starting and none are near ready yet. And there is no LTE signals that can be spotted around ABQ yet. But it is exciting that they are starting now. Thanks for your report and welcome to S4GRU. Robert via Samsung Note II via Tapatalk
  17. No. I can handle this type of complaining. I understand. It's when people get ugly about it or angry or start ranting or keep posting the same thing over and over. Then I get frustrated. Also, I don't suspend people for complaining. I suspend people for not accepting warnings, fighting with staff publicly, mistreating other members, or significant violations of our posting guidelines. Robert via Nexus 7 with Tapatalk HD

  25. If you don't know, then you don't have one. A Custom ROM is a new customized version of Android that you would have to install on your phone. I do remember reading somewhere in our forums about a year ago with someone else who could never access his Debug menu. We assumed it was something wrong with his unit. We never could figure it out. You can get the LTE signal reading from several apps, including Sensorly and apps created by our members like SignalCheck Pro. Robert via Nexus 7 with Tapatalk HD
