  1. What a douche. I love how he is freaking out about RRU's that are designed to be outdoors are in the weather. He has the sense of most of our trolls. Robert from Note 2 using Tapatalk 4 Beta
  2. As a CDT/CCCA myself, I disagree. This is a nationwide project. It's not one local project. It is 99 very large regional projects. It was rushed to start so some results could be seen early for customers. They could have done more planning and spent a lot of time up front to make sure that Network Vision went as smooth and seamless as possible. However, that would have delayed the start of Network Vision another 6-9 months and the completion date would still be roughly the same. So which is better, run out the door and do anything and everything possible every day so that customers can start seeing some results immediately, or wait and do more planning and delay the first sites that could be worked on now until they all can be done together farther down the road? Sprint chose the former, you suggest the latter. And you get the luxury of choosing after the fact, and after a period of results that you can measure. Perhaps if Sprint could have seen into the future, they would have made a different choice. But I doubt it. Because of the head start their competitors had, there was an urgency to start as soon as possible. They had the potential of losing millions of customers. Sprint is not the carrier for everyone. And now with Network Vision there is a clear measuring stick in which to see the deployment of LTE. If it doesn't meet your needs and you cannot wait for the evolution of the network in your area, you should find another carrier. Robert from Note 2 using Tapatalk 4 Beta
  3. Best of luck. Sprint is not the best network for every customer and it sounds like coverage is not what you need in your area. Robert from my Nexus 4 using Tapatalk 4 Beta
  4. Well, you tell that devil to go to hell. Robert from Note 2 using Tapatalk 4 Beta

  6. Topdown has one market, I have 99. I'm serious as a heart attack...I'm not doing this. No way, no how. I love my wife and kids too much. I'm sitting here at 11:15 PM just trying to update the maps and the Market Acceptance thread before I go to bed, and then I have to get up at 4:30 AM to get ready for a meeting at the Capitol. I am not looking to take on more work. Robert
  7. This has been asked before...repeatedly. We will not be doing that. Besides, half the fun is finding them. Take screen shots if that's important to you. Robert
  8. We have 10x10 in Albuquerque already. Blazin'! Robert from Note 2 using Tapatalk 4 Beta
  9. Only 365 days difference. But who's counting? Robert from Note 2 using Tapatalk 4 Beta
  10. I don't recall if it through 2015, or just until 2015. Robert
  11. Man, I think this is the equivalent of making fun of my heritage. That's low: Robert from Note 2 using Tapatalk 4 Beta

  13. The real reason? What fake reasons have you been given here? Robert from Note 2 using Tapatalk 4 Beta
  14. How do you share unlimited? You can't. Robert from Note 2 using Tapatalk 4 Beta
  15. I think it'd be easy to formulate the costs without seeing how it works out. They can set this up as a money maker or money neutral no problem. Don't let the other guys try to steal your customers. Besides, we know this has to be a bad idea that costs the consumer money in the end, because VZW and ATT adopted it so quickly. And if you think about it...you are just paying the depreciated value every month in the fee since you have to give back your old device when you upgrade. And you have to upgrade your device the maximum allowable times to make it worthwhile. Robert from Note 2 using Tapatalk 4 Beta
  16. I have even seen a site in Farmington, New Mexico that had 4 data speed upgrades and all were legacy. There was not one piece of NV equipment at that location at the time. So sites may be worth checking out if they have two or more speed upgrades, but it is far from definitive to mean LTE. Robert
  17. How can they not? If the demand is there, they have to capitulate to the masses. Robert
  18. No, it is not safe to say. Legacy site backhaul upgrades are also shown as two speed upgrades. There are thousands of sites that show 2 Speed Upgrades that are 3G accepted and have had one legacy speed upgrade in the previous six months, and there are many more that have just have had two legacy speed upgrades in the past six months. All legacy upgrades stay shown on those Sprint maps for six months, then fall off. So all LTE sites in an AlcaLu market will say two speed upgrades if LTE is accepted, but not all two speed upgrade sites have LTE accepted. Hopefully that makes sense. And in Ericsson and Samsung markets, it's even harder to tell. There still is no substitution for S4GRU acceptance reports. Robert
  19. Happens to me all the time. Usually requires a reboot. Sometimes during NV, eHRPD will go offline for an hour or a day. If rebooting doesn't solve, then it will come back in awhile on its own. Robert from Note 2 using Tapatalk 4 Beta
  20. Agreed. However, if an unsophisticated customer comes across Sensorly, they will conclude Sprint has a mondo network. And we know those mindless zombies are all over the place. Robert from Note 2 using Tapatalk 4 Beta

  22. Fellow S4GRU Geeks! It is time for my annual Summer Family Camping trip. We were planning to go back to the Black Hills of South Dakota, but because of a mandatory work meeting that I could not get out of, I have had to shorten our trip and stay closer to home. I will be on vacation from Thursday evening, July 18th through Wednesday, July 24th. I will be in and out of coverage the whole time. So my availability will be hit and miss. Also, the days before and after my vacation, my work schedule is very busy. And I'm behind on PM's, emails and forum responses. I am going to try to take a few hours every day to go through my backlog, but if I don't respond to you before I leave please be patient with me. If you see others complaining, or wondering where I am, please link them to this post. Since I will be within a few hours of Castle Rock, Colorado, I plan to stop by and check out some Samsung equipment and LTE goodness. If they started deploying on sites further south the I-25 corridor, I would be ecstatic! Robert
  23. I did absolutely nothing. Tapatalk must have fixed it. Take that, ForumRunner! Robert from Note 2 using Tapatalk 4 Beta
  24. Yes indeed. Shentel fires up their stuff the moment they inspect it. However, Sprint comes through and accepts it after Shentel. Since we do not have a direct Shentel source, we are at the mercy of finding out about complete Shentel sites after Sprint accepts them. Up until Friday, Sprint had only accepted CDMA 800 on newly converted Shentel sites. They hadn't gone back and reinspected existing signed off sites for CDMA 800 until now. I got my first batch of CDMA 800 sign offs on existing sites yesterday. I am going to try to get them updated on the next map refresh. Robert from Note 2 using Tapatalk 4 Beta
