  1. They have 3,000 - 5,000 LTE 800 sites that are expected to go live in the 4th Quarter. So there may be some live now, or will be very soon! Robert via Samsung Note 8.0 using Tapatalk Pro
  2. I believe that Sprint has a lot of bundled copper used earlier in NV to tie over until fiber arrives. That's what they were going to use in New Mexico at first, but then that got pulled because it was a "failure" in earlier markets, according to an Ericsson integration tech in ran into once. That guy said that in new markets, like Albuquerque, they are bypassing bundled T3's and will just bring LTE up on each site when the fiber arrives. This could be a reason why there are a lot of dog slow LTE sites out there in places that just don't seem that the air link could be already saturated. Like rural Michigan. It wouldn't take much to bog down 20-25Mbps from some bundled T3's on three sectors. Robert via Samsung Note 8.0 using Tapatalk Pro
  3. Sounds like Sprint is not the best choice for you. Since we get called out for not being fair to everyone, note this is a warning for violating the posting guidelines. Robert via Samsung Note 8.0 using Tapatalk Pro
  4. I believe the Band 41 markets with Huawei equipment (like Denver) will not get the full benefits until they are upgraded with new equipment from Samsung, NSN or A/L. The current upgrades in Huawei markets have been pretty simple as the hardware already supports LTE, just needs to be enabled with new firmware. Robert via Samsung Note 8.0 using Tapatalk Pro
  5. The Original Galaxy Note went on sale in the U.S. in February 2012, not 2011. AT&T only. We were even discussing it on S4GRU. One of our moderators jumped over to AT&T to get it. Robert via Samsung Note 8.0 using Tapatalk Pro EDIT: The Processor is faster and more RAM in the Mega, screen is better in Note, most other specs are similar.
  6. I don't know if Sprint has already completely terminated all their iDaEN site leases and would need to renogotiate new, or if they kept some, or if they still need to finalize the lease cancellations. Robert via Samsung Note 8.0 using Tapatalk Pro
  7. Too bad I'm now 4 hours from the nearest Sprint 800MHz site in Sterling, Colorado. Robert via Samsung Note 8.0 using Tapatalk Pro
  8. I just assumed they were just going to show a Band 41 site running at full speed and show some new Triband phones running on it. Robert via Samsung Note 8.0 using Tapatalk Pro
  9. It appears they wrapped existing CDMA/iDEN customers together. But counted USCC and Clearwire separately. Robert via Samsung Note 8.0 using Tapatalk Pro
  10. Talk about an exaggeration. More like one year ago. 3 years ago is when the OG EVO and Epic were out. This thing is way more advanced than phones 2 and 3 years ago. And last year, it would have been a flagship device. The Mega is not a flagship device. It's a really big mid range device. It doesn't try to pretend to be anything else. We will just have to see if there is a market for a Mega sized mid range device. It's a respectable offering for a midrange device and would meet the needs of 95% of people spec wise. 11. Definitely. I think the biggest thing would have been committing to convert all unique iDEN coverage to Network Vision/LTE. But what's done is done now. Robert via Samsung Note 8.0 using Tapatalk Pro
  12. As a Verizon customer, I can tell you their maps are overstated. I almost never get any signal in their Extended LTE coverage areas depicted. Even with a super strong performing MiFi. However, I will say this, driving from Denver to Rapid City via I-76 and the Nebraska Panhandle, I never lost a Verizon native signal. I had LTE all but 20 miles of the way, and it fell back to EVDO in those 20 miles. Robert via Samsung Note 8.0 using Tapatalk Pro
  13. The third quarter is the last quarter that subscriber counts can be directly attributable to iDEN shutdown. However, there will continue to be financial impacts in current quarter and even future quarters. Robert via Samsung Note 8.0 using Tapatalk Pro
  14. Oldest scam...LOL. As if we make money at S4GRU. We take in about $500 - $900 per month. Even if we had no expenses, we wouldn't make hardly any money. But we do have expenses. About $800 per month. Some months we run a little short, and it's usually our staff that make the donations to cover our shortfalls. What a loser. Robert

  16. It is essentially a lease, but without the benefits of a lease. Robert via Samsung Note 8.0 using Tapatalk Pro
  17. I find that Sensorly's Speedtests are horribly slow and inaccurate. In my use, they select servers very far away or even in Europe some times. My 100Mbps home internet will come back as 3-11Mbps with a 300ms ping on Sensorly. But it will run 90-102Mbps on most other servers with a less than 10ms ping.

    LG G2 Users Thread!

The Nexus 4 has them too. Not visible when viewing the screen with the display on. But if you turn off the screen and twist the device to just the right light reflection you can see these tiny indentations in the screen spread out every half inch or so. It doesn't detract from the experience at all. It is only visible with the device off. And it's only visible at a viewing angle that you would never use your device. 20. It sure seemed like tower work continued in Michigan and Minnesota last Winter. Robert via Samsung Note 8.0 using Tapatalk Pro
  21. He is totally joking. AJ is very learned and has a degree in geography. His joke was mocking the morons of the world. Robert via Samsung Note 8.0 using Tapatalk Pro
  22. There was no CDMA Nexus 4 at all. It's not like Verizon got that, but Sprint didn't. The Nexus 4 was a test from Google to see if the economics and Google Play store model would work. And now it is even being expanded to include Sprint the next incarnation. Only Verizon left out this time. And that's probably because they didn't want to play ball. Robert

  25. Given it's namesake, the Orlando market will not launch until there is fair coverage around the city. Which is still not imminent. 95% of the sites in the market to date have been outside the city proper. A fact you guys down there experience often, no doubt. It looks like the Urban Orlando deployment is starting to get legs now though. Robert via Samsung Galaxy Note II using Tapatalk
