  1. Typically, Sprint Repair Centers have SIM cards always in stock. The last few LTE devices have had removable SIM's. They keep them in stock for SIM card errors or damage. How many they keep on stock regularly, and how many more will be shipped because of the N5 is unknown. I know Tmo would ship them out to you with the N4. I purchased mine on opening day via the Google Play store. I was one of the few that actually got it right away. The day before I received my N4, I called Tmo and inquired about a SIM card. They said they could mail me one for no charge and wait a few days or I could go to a Tmo store and get one for $20. Since I wanted my SIM card in hand when my N4 arrived, I went to the store and paid the $20. Popped it in and it served me well until this month when I dropped my Tmo service since they have no coverage in Western South Dakota. Robert

  4. You were upgraded immediately. You don't need a new password once you become a Sponsor. You should be able to get right into Sponsor forums now. If you still have a problem, sign out, close your browser and relaunch it and sign back in. Robert
  5. I'm pretty sure iPhones purchased at the Apple Store have an activation fee, and they are a manufacturer. The only waiver of activation fee I'm still aware of on Sprint is if you have the Credit Union discount. Robert
  6. Order date: Oct 31, 2013 11:06:21 AM PDT Got my tracking number around 1 AM this morning. I ordered the 16GB white.

  8. You can always activate any device on an existing line without upgrading the plan. I activate devices on my lines all the time, both new and old. No plan changes are required to activate a new device on an existing line. However, new accounts and sometimes new lines is where issues arise. Robert via Samsung Note 8.0 using Tapatalk Pro
  9. Which model? Mine is 16GB white and I received the shipping notice already. Robert via Samsung Note 8.0 using Tapatalk Pro
  10. I just got notification that my order shipped. Party over here! Robert via Samsung Note 8.0 using Tapatalk Pro
  11. It pains me to have 100Mbps internet service at home, but I have no devices that can support those speeds via WiFi. I have to plug in to get speeds above 35Mbps or so. Robert
  12. I'm not optimistic you'll be able to do this. Unless the CDMA side is done via ESN authentication only, I bet your Sprint SIM will be required. You'll probably have to swap SIM's. But we should know soon. I have a Tmo SIM card, so I can check that out soon after arrival. SIM cards will not come with the device and will have to be obtained by Sprint. 13. I used Tmo and ATT SIM cards in my Nexus 4 interchangeably. I'm hoping Sprint will be no different. Robert via Samsung Galaxy Note II using Tapatalk
  14. That's how I ended up with four kids. Evidently, I tend to love in other states too! Robert via Samsung Galaxy Note II using Tapatalk
  15. I haven't told her yet. But I fear my teenage son may have ratted me out. Robert via Samsung Galaxy Note II using Tapatalk
  16. I'm not a camera-fiend, so camera reviews never much mattered to me. I was always happy with even my OG Evo camera. Meets my needs. When I want/need something better than a smartphone camera, I grab my camera bag and get a real camera. Robert
  17. I almost waited. But based on what happened with the Nexus 4, I knew I needed to jump right on it! With the N4, I ordered in the first few minutes and got the device right away. People who waited just 15 mins after me had to wait weeks. So I canceled my lunch plans and ran to my computer when I heard the news. I'd rather have the N5 right away than a free lunch! Robert

    LG G2 Users Thread!

The Sprint Galaxy Note 3 seems to have stronger LTE RF characteristics than the VZW GN3 based on FCC docs of uplink EIRP testing. So I believe you may have been encountering accurate Sprint LTE performance with the GN3 (perhaps slightly subpar) and experiencing the poor RF performance of the VZW Note 3. I recently moved to a place with no Sprint coverage and was going to get the VZW GN3, until I found out how bad the LTE RF performance appeared in FCC OET docs. Sprint LTE on 1900 only is going to be pretty paltry indoors unless you are near the site. That's why Sprint is adding service on LTE 800 as well. That work has just started though nationwide, but is pretty far along in Shentel areas. According to one of our sources there, they should start firing it up there in the next few weeks and run through Spring. Shentel LTE 800 is going to be awesome and blow Verizon out of the water. Because Shentel's tower density is unmatched by any carrier I've ever seen. So for you, it will be all about finding the Triband device that best fits your needs and whether you want to get it now and start using it as LTE 800 fires up in your area one tower at a time, or if you want to wait until service is everywhere on LTE 800. Uhh ohh. You must not know there is only one American Nexus 5 model. It's that same one for all carriers. Google issues the updates and everyone gets them at once. BAM!!! Even Sprint. Robert via Samsung Galaxy Note II using Tapatalk
  20. I think this may point to Google selling these things at cost to consumers (or maybe even a small loss). However, they probably refuse to sell them to carriers at a loss/even and add the mark up on them when carrier bound. This was my hypothesis with the Nexus 4. And I'm still holding on to that thought. Robert via Samsung Galaxy Note II using Tapatalk
  21. The update would come from Google. I'm sure this was worked out in advance of the launch since Sprint is already mentioning it in their Press Release. There is only one variant, and all of them would need it. Even on other carriers. So they can switch to Sprint in the future if they want. It's completely unlocked. It's a hard concept for us to fathom in the CDMA world. Robert
  22. It will likely come as an update to all N5 devices. Since it is unlocked, it would need to be able to work on other carriers. And vice versa. Robert
  23. You need to wait according to Sprint's press release. So whatever the issue is with the G2, it exists for the N5 too. Robert
