Network Vision/LTE - Missouri Market (includes St. Louis)

Not true, because it did post 4G points.

A lot of times it will eventually switch over even if you are using data....but if it is worrying about transferring data over 3G it won't spend as much time scanning.  I have had MUCH more favorable results by sitting at my home screen and toggling airplane mode and THEN opening sensorly.  It will pick up on the LTE a lot quicker that way.

Sorry for the rant, I am just frustrated beyond belief. I'll take some of the blame for not looking further into the whole 4G vs LTE thing.

I still don't understand how my 3G service is so much slower than it was before the new phone. My phone is pretty much useless to me, yet I am paying for service. If that is a rant, so be it.

Believe me, we all know the network sucks right now. I lost power last night, so no WiFi. Power didn't come back until 11 this morning, which meant I had to spend the whole time on the network. I could barely get Tapatalk to work. But I still stick with Sprint, because being from Kansas City, I got to experience the new network from the get go, and know how nice it will be once the upgrades get a little further along.

I wouldTo add to what chaz said. In 3 months Sprint has completed its network vision upgrades on 20% of its sites in the MO Market. Before i came here i thought just like you did. But then i saw progress and a light at the end of thr tunnel. Remember if you go to VZW ATT or TMo, you will have to worry about caps/throttling and pay a higher rate. As for me and my household, we will stay with the Now Network and await LTE at EVERY SINGLE SPRINT SITE. Not to mention the thought of LTE being rolled out on 800 and 2500 and tri band

phones. Also, i guarantee you once the Softbank dealbis complete things will be better.

IMHO: 20% in 3 months is way too slow, at that rate the rest will take a year to finish up. However I think they are doing it as fast as it can be done and if another carrier was doing it it would take just as long or longer. All we can do is wait or switch. Gripping wont help.

Think about this, Do you consider Chicago or DFW or Kansas to be complete? Those markets still aren't 100% complete but were launched 6 months to a year ago. It only takes 40-50% complete before they launch a market and then they finish up filling in the spots. I am expecting a large acceptance report soon, there has to be, I mean we have over 25 sites that we know of that are installed.

Don't forget Sprint is the only one replacing every thing at each tower and not just adding a bandaid. Sent from my SPH-L900 using Tapatalk 4 Beta

And even adding new towers. In fact, two by my house. :)

I know you are right. I am just saying its going as fast as it can and I still want more. I fully admit its unreasonable to expect more, but I still would like more faster too. I would like gas at 50 cents a gallon too, also unreasonable. I am also expecting it to get faster and huge acceptance reports soon. The sooner the better I guess is all I am saying.

Everything not just the roll out seems to take a long time to me. A couple businesses I know moved a small distance. It seemed to take for ever from getting the property to reopening in the new spot. I am just spoiled by todays order it in the morning and have it the next day mass produced consumer product availability.

I would expect the typical trickle of sites to come in. Could be worse and you guys seeing no work on things and acceptance stalled it seems. Or should I say backhaul stalled.

I am hoping they are stalled waiting on an inspector to become available.

When you guys get done with them please send them our way. He might need to knock the cobwebs off some of the RRUs though that have been flying since last year and early this year.

Launched...smaunched...really wished they wouldn't have launched.  They forgot downtown BR, LSU Stadium/Campus, the center of the city, northeast corner(my stomping grounds).  Don't get me started with New Orleans, they kind of forgot a bunch of it, like umm.. downtown/French Quarter.  It's like saying Vegas is launched with no LTE on the strip.

So when sprint puts NV equipment on a Sprint/Nextel synergy site, will they take down the iden antennas? There is a site near me that I believe is a sprint/Nextel synergy site. It has 3 panels per sector that are the same, and one other panel per sector. So it looks like there are 3 iden panels and a cdma panel. I can upload a picture if you want. I was just thinking it would be really easy to spot any progress based on whether or not those iden panels were still up or not.

It really depends on the design plans for the site. Every site is unique. There is no method to the madness but I am sure you already know that.

That's what I was afraid you would say. It just doesn't look like there is really any room for any more antennas. I'll keep an eye on it and other sites in the Wentzville area and report anything I see, but I haven't seen anything yet.

If we have any lurkers in St. Clair County, Illinois. We need your help. That means; Belleville, East St Louis, O'fallon, Fairview, Shiloh, Millstadt, etc. I know there have to be some completed sites out there, but we have very few reports in that area. Let me know if you are willing to help and I will steer you in the right direction.

Sure thing.  I've been lurking long enough.  I check out the tower at 39th and bunkum road as i ride by there everyday (nothing new) however there is some horizontal boring taking place near IL-111 that has started this week.  Also as i left work this morning at SLU 4g came out of nowhere; it didnt pop up until i got to Compton ave.  Well I continued down Washington to downtown to try and map the downtown tower that was being talked about and was get 4g up until around tucker.  It should be mapped unto sensorly.
