  1. I am alive! Dumped both the Galaxy S4 and the Nexus 5 and now have a Galaxy S5 and my coverage is MUCH better all over. Not sure what the S4 problem was but the Nexus 5 had some kind of chip problem. They offered a refund but I decided against it. Not sure if the coverage is better because of the phone or because Sprint lit up some new towers and set loose some new technology but I am happy with what I am seeing. Too bad it took almost a year!
  2. Exactly! Sorry I am not a fanboy and can't hold your hands and skip down the hall singing Kumbaya! Sprint should have never sold LTE phones in a market that can't support them. When I got mine in August I was told by the CSR that it would work perfectly and it was 100% better than the 4G (That worked perfectly for me!) When it didn't, I took it back to return it and they refused. So sue me for having a bitter taste in my mouth.
  3. I must end up in the 21.4% a lot. Building penetration is a joke. They have to be embarrassed at this fiasco.
  4. Ack. Right back to no coverage inside the building. Plus speeds outside are now down to a crawl. I hope that was a sign of things to come and not an aberration
  5. Not able to screen capture/upload but maybe this will help... Serving CELL: 63 BAND: 25
  6. I forgot how to access the engineering screen. Today I am carrying the GS4
  7. I work out of it everyday. The nearest tower is Vinita Park I do believe. Maybe they fixed something there.
  8. I'm pulling 16 Mbbs INSIDE a FedEx terminal building! That has never happened before
  9. I've noticed a marked improvement today in LTE speeds. Mostly in the Page at 170 area and in the St Ann area. Maybe they lit some 800 up?
  10. But what about the rest of the markets? What about the more rural areas? From my experiences, you get very far from any city and off the Interstates, you might as well use tin cans and string to make calls. Sprint;s footprint is minuscule and non-existent is a vast majority of the USA.
  11. Well, between terrible LTE coverage and now image compression, I am really having a hard time staying with Sprint. They seem to me like a company without direction. I have 4 more months on contract and if something doesn't change drastically I will move on. Unlimited data sounds like a great deal, but if they compress it, or if it is not available then it means absolutely nothing.
  12. Right now on LTE it is horrid but on 3G it is crystal clear.
  13. If it ain't one thing it's another. I swear...... So has the throttling began?
  14. So will spark penetrate buildings? That is where I have the worst issues.
  15. I too am extremely disappointed. I deliver packages throughout the metro area and I lose connection going in and out of most buildings I encounter. I thought it was my S4, so I bought a Nexus 5 and it is just as bad. I carry an S3 with WiMax and have absolutely no problems whatsoever. It doesn't do any good to complain because the standard line is "It's a work in progress", blah, blah, blah. I am going to break my Sprint contract and move on. Maybe in 10 years they will have their act together. I know a lot of people are tired of the wait. What good is unlimited data when you can't use it? Seems like a farce to me.
  16. Pretty standard from my experiences. Sprint's LTE has become a joke.
  17. I sold it to my Brother in Chicago and he said it has been working perfectly. He is a salesman and is in and out of building downtown and said so far - so good. That tells me it has to be the STL market isn't ready for LTE yet.
  18. I should have it by tomorrow unless UPS is still having issues. I just hope the signal picks up better inside buildings. My wife has an iPhone and I used it today and it worked so much better than the Galaxy S4 it was sickening. Not sure if I have a POS phone or if all the S4's on the Sprint network are crappy.
  19. Sold my Samsung Galaxy S4 for $355 and bought the Nexus 5.
  20. I made a delivery to Waterloo today and the speeds and connections were insane! Wish STL had the same.
