fuunkychicken
Post update results seem good. Placed a couple of Wi-Fi calls, and have been browsing reddit and listening to music without issue. For the first time ever, the screen has taken the top spot as far as what's consuming battery. I'm pretty sure that's how it's supposed to be. A noticeable improvement in battery stamina and the device hasn't gotten very warm at all. Sent from my SM-G930P using Tapatalk
Overstew
So, just curious, has anyone tried the new UI from Samsung?http://www.xda-developers.com/samsung-advanced-ui-new-touchwiz-is-a-ui-giant-leap-forward-two-steps-back/
llm5505
Trying it out now. Not sure yet if I'll keep it. I wish there was a bit more you could configure Sent from my SM-G930P using Tapatalk
Fraydog
I had the new Samsung UI on my phone and uninstalled it after a few hours. That needs some work before it can go on anything that ships.
optimummind
Does any one else who took the latest update have horribly downgraded battery life? I should be at 75 to 80% left right now but I'm at 51%, same usage pattern as before. Sent from my SM-G935P using Tapatalk
SturgeonGeneral
I couldn't even get into my desktop on the phone after the update. My screen was stuck at what looked like a wall paper indicating installing apps until it finally asked to set TouchWiz back as default app. I had to use edge apps and voice commands to start anything until touch wiz finally took back over. Still neat to play around with though.

EmeraldReporter
Any resolution on the HD calling issues a few pages back in this thread? If you want HD Calling, you HAVE to call them, (customer service) or disable Wi-Fi calling on ALL of your phone lines. iPad Air's included. optimummind
I performed a hard factory reset, twice, then set up again from scratch. Now, things are better. Android System less than 20%of my battery life. Gonna observe for a couple more days. Sent from my SM-G935P using Tapatalk
EmeraldReporter
AMAZING-- Online/Direct-2-You only (I think) Samsung Galaxy S7 & S7 Edge variants are BOGO Free! No longer BOGO/50%... Make sure to use the $37 dollar unlimited family plan to help you out there too if you need it, offering you a FREE 4th line. Terrell352
At the store the g5 was losing to the s7 in rf by about 2-5dbm
SturgeonGeneral
As for rf, the gs4t beats it. Battery is decent though during the work day. Sent from my SM-G935P using Tapatalk
optimummind
Finally customized my GS7E to my liking. It took a while to b/c many initial cases & TGSPs were crap & it took several revisions before the little issues got straightened out. Thank goodness for Amazon Prime's super easy return process. My current daily driver setup is: *GPEL black TGSP. It has perfect fitment, excellent touch sensitivity, strong adhesive, & plays nice with several cases. *dbrand black leather skin on the rear glass *Tauri or match2 clear TPU case with small front lip protection This pic shows my 1st TGSP. This one, which is made by Glass Pro on eBay, had some slight sensitivity issues and had the cutout for the Samsung logo which I don't care for.
