Microsoft Quickly Changes Xbox One Policies After Outrage

Remember when the Xbox One was announced and we all cringed at how Microsoft was controlling their own product?  Well they have gone a complete 180 now.  The Xbox One will have the exact same DRM policy as a direct response of the consumer outrage.

I guessed they must have viewed the poll by Amazon Video Games showing that there were going to be 30 Playstations sold for Every 1 Xbox.

Glad to see that this message rang loud and clear with them.

Good for M$.

I'm still not gonna buy an XBOne though.  B)

Same here...  just turned me off from buying one.  I could see them slowly trying to work this back in.  The attitude from them of just buy a 360 then just rubs me wrong as well.

Its good to see microsoft change their minds but it might be a little to late for them, simply way to much arrogance on their part which has caused a lot of momentum to go towards sony and coming in at a $100 more than sony is another dumb move.  I mean seriously, trying to justify a higher price is the same mistake sony made with the ps3 which allowed the 360 to gain quite a bit of momentum.  Now these systems are still months away and it looks like the xbox one is going to get owned.  I also wouldn't be surprised if microsoft change their tune and drop the price to $399 even before release, if not I can almost guarantee that they will drop the price right after christmas if sales aren't great.  Now for me personally, I will get the xbox one for sure and will most likely get a ps4 anyway.

That was a real dick move on their part, I was stunned when they made statement and it really rubbed me the wrong way as well.  They need to change their tune quick or xboxone's will be sitting on store shelves all holiday long.

I don't think they will ever drop their price by $100 due only to the fact that Kinect it's included and ps4 does not include their eye thing whatever it's called. I'm not advocating that the Kinect is good, but it is additional hardware. I think the most you might see is $50 drop and then justification that they charge the same price as Sony for the console and $50 for the Kinect. I do believe, however, that Sony will own the market at launch.

Yeah, make sense.  I am not even sure if you can even use the xbox one without the new kinect(I don't see why not), if thats the case maybe they will make the kinect optional then sell the system only at $399.  Personally I could care less for the kinect, my girl has one on her xbox and even though it was fun as hell for the first few weeks or so we literally haven't used it in two years.

wow they Caved. I thought they were gonna hold strong after they made that comment about we have a option for offline players called the xbox 360. A lot of damage has been done, I had one on pre-order anyway since my xbox is always online it wasn't that big of deal to me in particular but it was a bs policy. They would have lost millions of dollars sticking with the policy, sure they fend off a few pirates but it just hurts the market more that at helps. Game Stop might stick around after all.
