FORUM RUNNER APP "Page does not exist" error

FORUM RUNNER UPDATE:

I have spent three hours trying to get Forum Runner fully restored and get rid of the "Page does not exist."  Unfortunately, it's not going to be fixed soon.  I have talked with Forum Runner, and they say their software is not fully working with the newest two versions of IP Board.  They are suffering through it to try to resolve it.  However, they haven't resolved it in the past two months.  So I'm not optimistic it will be fixed soon.

There is a workaround, though, that will at least allow you to keep using Forum Runner.  If you go into the app's settings, change the following to be:

  • Items Per Page:  20 items per page
  • When Opening a Thread:  Jump to First Page
  • Thread Summary Shows:  First Post in Thread

Although these are funky and annoying settings, it will get rid of the "Page does not exist" error.

One good thing is that Tapatalk and Tapatallk HD seem to working better and a lot of the bugs in that app seem to have been corrected by the upgrade.  If you are not able to handle the Forum Runner workaround, then consider downloading the Tapatalk app or you can use the S4GRU Mobile site.

Sorry for the inconvenience, however it is out of our control.  Hopefully Forum Runner will figure this out.

We have had countless issues with Forum Runner as well.

Forum Runner worked well for us until upgrading to the newest version of IP Board. We used to have Tapatalk problems. Now all our Tapatalk problems seemed to be solved but nor have issues with Forum Runner. Oh well.

The only Tapatalk bug is still the nested threading. I wonder why. Maybe we should try logging out and back into our accounts and see if it works?

Edit: Nope, that didn't work. Nesting is still there. :(

It's very annoying. I'm manually removing them for now.

I've checked all the Tapatalk settings in IP Board and within the Tapatalk and Tapatalk HD apps and haven't figured out a way to get rid of it yet. I will do some more research on the Tapatalk site and forums this afternoon after I get home from church.

Robert, Have you thought of a Mobile theme?

I've thought about it.

    • Unable to confirm if it's really off but I noticed this morning that I'm no longer connecting to Band 41 on my home site. Switching my phone to LTE-only pretty much always put me on Band 41 since it was the least used band on T-Mobile's network. Now I'm only able to connect to Band 2/66. Not complaining because it means speeds are faster on LTE and maybe 150MHz n41 is around the corner.

    • Definite usage quirks in hunting down these sites with a rainbow sim in a s24 ultra. Fell into a hole yesterday so sent off to T-Mobile purgatory. Try my various techniques. No Dish. Get within binocular range of former Sprint colocation and can see Dish equipment. Try to manually set network and everybody but no Dish is listed.  Airplane mode, restart, turn on and off sim, still no Dish. Pull upto 200ft from site straight on with antenna.  Still no Dish. Get to manual network hunting again on phone, power off phone for two minutes. Finally see Dish in manual network selection and choose it. Great signal as expected. I still think the 15 minute rule might work but lack patience. (With Sprint years ago, while roaming on AT&T, the phone would check for Sprint about every fifteen minutes. So at highway speed you could get to about the third Sprint site before roaming would end). Using both cellmapper and signalcheck.net maps to hunt down these sites. Cellmapper response is almost immediate these days (was taking weeks many months ago).  Their idea of where a site can be is often many miles apart. Of course not the same dataset. Also different ideas as how to label a site, but sector details can match with enough data (mimo makes this hard with its many sectors). Dish was using county spacing in a flat suburban area, but is now denser in a hilly richer suburban area.  Likely density of customers makes no difference as a poorer urban area with likely more Dish customers still has country spacing of sites.
    • Mike if you need more Dish data, I have been hunting down sites in western Columbus.  So far just n70 and n71 reporting although I CA all three.
