Two new towers are active in Seminole. One between Seminole and 113th just south of park and another near Seminole high. Should be on sensorly soon.

I'm watching for anything new in Hillsborough. Hopefully will see something new soon.

Have LTE at Fowler and 56th

Yesterday I had LTE on 56th and Busch, I don't know which tower it was from. It wasn't the one there or any on Busch. I think there is one on Sligh between 56th and 301 on or they changed the tilt on one of the towers. Also one is one in Thonotosassa is on broadcasting LTE now near 301 and where Fowler ends.

What signal strength are you getting? I can't pickup anything at 56th and fletcher. Any idea on what tower could be on?

It's not the tower at 50th and Fowler. The signal is coming from either South or East of 56th and Fowler. I was getting about -96dbm, so it was a fairly good signal.

I know the one near 301 you are talking about. That definitely isn't this one.

Judging by the signal I'd guess it is the one between 56th and I-75 on Fowler. I was just by there yesterday though and didn't spot NV panels (that doesn't mean that they aren't there) so I can't be sure.

Only way to find out is to use Sensorly, although I suspect one on Sligh near Harney, but its been cold so the signal could be farther than normal from somewhere. The one on Fowler betwwn 56 and 75 didnt have NV panels on them last week.

I have seen a crane at the internal mount tower just east of the suncoast on 54 last week from Tuesday through Friday. Guessing they were probably installing antennae. I am guessing with those kind of towers they have to mount the RRUs on the ground.

Looks like the Sligh and Harney site is broadcasting LTE now, mapped a little. Also I think the I-75 and Bruce B Downs is on now based on Signal strength -79dbm at that intersection, but I didn't map. The Sligh one is throwing LTE along 56th in Temple Terrace.

I used to lose LTE there so its definitely on. Seems like a really big week for us.

The I-75 and Bruce B Downs tower is definitely on, had -68dbm signal when I got off exit, really had no time to map much.

    • Their offers have been crap recently, so this is just more evidence to not buy from T-Mobile.
    • T-Mobile Will Soon Prevent Early Payoff Of Phones Receiving Bill Credits If you finance a phone with T-Mobile it will remain locked until paid off but now you won't be able to pay off early. If you don't currently purchase your phones from the manufacturer here is another reason it might be a good idea.
    • Was in Red Hook again and I swear there are more Link5G sites as there are Verizon, T-Mobile, and AT&T small cells combined in the entire neighborhood. It seemed like every other street I turned down had one installed. Hopefully carriers will start hopping on them soon. Seems like a lot of effort to go through for no one to use them.  — — — — — T-Mobile converted the Sprint site on top of NYU Langone Brooklyn in Sunset Park. I first mapped one sector of it back in November 2023 but I thought it was a small cell so I never pinned it but I ran into another sector today which caught me off guard. I'm unable to find a permit for the conversion so it's definitely a surprise. There's another T-Mobile site 1 block away that T-Mobile initially installed back in 2019 so I'm kinda surprised they're keeping both considering the Sprint conversion is on a much taller building and could potentially provide much better coverage to the entire area.  — — — — —  Old permit for this new install expired but a new one was recently issued. It's gonna be similar to the site at 360 Forman St in Brooklyn Heights. Permit calls for only 3 antennas to be installed so I'm assuming it gonna be Band 2/41/66 and n25/41 only which is a bit of a downgrade from the now decommissioned full build that was on 871 7th Ave but in it's current state the nearest macro is a few blocks away and a small cell at Broadway and 55th is doing a lot of heavy lifting in the area so anything helps.
    • Still not seeing any ULS postings for pending T-Mobile UScellular merger in Dane county Wisconsin.
    • Came across another Crown Castle Solutions multi-tenant oDAS node in Brooklyn. Located at 40.7002286, -73.9612666. Nothing on T-Mobile or AT&T so I'm assuming these are all Verizon nodes that Crown Castle is anticipating another carrier will hop on down the line.
