Is there a map where we can see how far they have got? i really wish i could find out what they are doing here in Bradenton Sarasota for it.

You should be asking in the South-West Florida thread. There will be more people talking about it that live in your area.

I have looked over the whole internet and Bradenton Sarasota was on the list from Oct.I really need to know what is going to happen with LTE in 2013 here as Verizon has had LTE here for awhile now and if they dont have it here when my contract is up or at least coming soon i am going to bolt.

But i can't find anything other then the press release from OCT for Sarasota Bradenton LTE

thanks

Work is under way in the SW Florida market, but it is not as advanced as the Tampa market. You should check out this thread which shows you what to look for on your towers: http://s4gru.com/index.php?/topic/2902-how-to-spot-sprint-panels-and-rrus-ericsson-style/

Additionally, if you become a Sponsor, you can see maps of all the sites in your area, as well as get access to maps of all the sites complete. More information about becoming a S4GRU Sponsor here: http://s4gru.com/index.php?/topic/1195-information-about-s4gru-sponsorship-levels-and-how-to-become-a-sponsor/

And for your future use, the SW Florida market thread is here: http://s4gru.com/index.php?/topic/1358-network-visionlte-south-west-florida-market/page__hl__florida__st__140

Welcome to S4GRU. I hope to see you around the forums.

There are workers right now at 4040 w waters ave there are def sprint LTE panels up. The company doing it is named rapidsys

Rapidsys (Rapid Systems) is a fixed wireless Internet (802.11) service in the area. They may have been working on their own equipment on that tower.

But, I guess there's a slight chance that they could be providing backhaul to Sprint for that tower? It would be unusual, but I think they would have the bandwidth to support it.

I just drove past the cell tower at Bears Avenue and I 275. There is definitely no LTE coming from at Tower at this time. Also, I picked up EVDO revision a instead of EHRPD around that tower.

We've seen this phenomenon from a few completed sites recently, where they should be broadcasting LTE, but appear blocked, yet the 3G is EVDO-A from that site, but the rest of the market is eHRPD. Not sure why that is.

I phone aint gonna cut it. Need an Android user to map on Sensorly..Good looking out though. I know this will make you Tampa boys happy

Mapping the Bearss tower and am all the way out to Dale Mabry now.

I'm planning on making a trip down there shortly too. What roads did you map? I'll try to hit the area from a different direction to keep from duplicating what you've mapped.
