Question. Does the airave 3G speeds represent what I would actually have assuming I have a decent connection? If so I average around 1.5-2.3 down on 3G which is fast as hell for me. Secondly, even though I don't use anything but wifi in the house, my iphone seems to stay on 1x instead of 3G. It'll switch to 3G then right back to 1x and it stays there and won't revert. Probably has something to do with the fact it's an iphone lol.

Had my iPhone 5 (first one I bought 12/16) do that. Went to the sprint store by volusia mall to get it checked out, insurance replaced it no cost to me, beyond the $11 monthly TEP. iOS 7 may have borked the radio in mine, that's what they concluded for mine.

Could be network for you honestly... mileage may very

UPS is taking forever on the G2  :td:

Interesting. I cancelled my TEP and just have applecare+. However, I am not sure that is something that would be covered under applecare+. Like I said, I am fine with just using my wifi which is 15x faster than 3g, but I was just curious to as if someone else had this issue and what might have resolved it.

Thank you.

No problem, glad to help. TEP open enrollment is pretty randon to me, I do know when activating or swapping to a phone, the TEP option is allowed to you if the phone is still insurable.

Also, Apple never admited it was their fault. More of a "We've never seen this, it's your cariers fault. "Their signal is broadcasting wrong" lol

Fastest speed I ever got. Wanted to test the sensory app for iphone and yeh... Quite different results from the exact same spot at my red light. Still fastest download though! Was impressed

Nice speeds, I've seen the 5x5 max around 36 down, 10 up. I spent a week on a 3G only device here in the Daytona area, and I must say it's usable where I've been frequenting. Averaging 1 down and near the same up seemed unfathomable a year ago. May be the reason I'm not rushing to get a SIM for my G2 just yet... But I'm sort of lost as to what exactly is Sprints goal is here in our market... Consistency and Speed? Or just pure consistency? I've seen a fair bit of one or the other but not both when it comes to LTE.

If sprint can get me 8 down and 3 up with a ping around 70, everywhere I go.... My friends with tmobile and att and Verizon can wave their speed tests in front of me( until the run out of data) and I'll just laugh and say show me the difference between how fast my page loads and yours and I'll switch. Your wireless penis isn't bigger because your downloads are faster. It's a smart phone, not a super computer....yet

Unfortunately, many people think the faster the download the better the page loads. When I was in Puerto Rico, the ping was very high on their home internet but the speed was 5-6+. At the time, I could load a web page faster on my 4s than on my computer at 3G speeds with a decent ping lower than the home internet....At least that's what I remember while I was doing inebriated speed tests and trying to screen shot them.( it was my 21st birthday week). That was another point when I decided to stick with Sprint.

Consistency will win it in the long run. People can promise 137 mb download speeds, but if I can't get a decent data connection during peak hours your network is useless to me. Sprint may only be 5x5 on b 25 but there is room for improvement, and 2 other bands that will be fully operational in less than 2 years in most cities which open up for issues when there is overcrowding. I just believe that Sprint is going to have a far superior network. Yes, it's not exactly the best right now, but I am confident that it will improve. I am also willing to wait for this improvement because my bill is 66 dollars a month for unlimited text and data, and 1500 shared minutes. Not even tmobile can do that.

Conclusion: I hope that sprints goal is consistency. All the speed in the world doesn't mean anything if it only works at 4 am.

That's the same I say. While 20 down is awesome, most websites can't pitch the pages to you that fast. Pretty happy with my current 3G speeds. Headed to pickup the LTE SIM now from a knowledgeable corporate store... be surprised how many" Sprint doesn't use SIM cards" replies I got from the stores I called yesterday... Posted Image

Every time I'd drive past the raddison I hope to see someone up there working or some new equipment. And every time I am let down.... Why are they holding off so much on that site. Summer is only going to bring more people and tourists, especially visiting the school.... They should get those two towers up! Is there a suggestion box for sprint lol...

On a side note, they finally accepted the missing tower on university. It'll be nice to have consistent data while bisiting friends in winter park. Even though it's 3G, it'll be nice when I can switch a song and not have to wait until I'm in range of a new tower. Sucks because if I force my phone into lte when I know I'm in range, I lose my Bluetooth to my car and it won't come back until I restart the engine....talk about first world problems.

So yesterday I went on a drive to floral city for a dinner with some friends I have not seen in a while. Almost the entire drive from Orlando to Floral city had LTE. And where there was not LTE, the 3g speeds were fast enough (except in 2 places right at the city limits).

Overall, excellent experience while driving on the highway. Streamed music the entire way there.

Also: there is literally nothing over there. I was shocked by the lack of people on a wednesday night at 9 pm. Everything was closed.

Reminds me of rural GA back in October. Was shocked to see a lot of roaming gaps seemed to have a weak but usable 3G signal and then by the time the 3G signal raised LTE was there... in the sticks. The progress of network vision has been a weird one in some areas. Places I'd least expect to have 4G have it.

There was LTE right in the heart of the city lol. But I don't have it at my house. Pretty sure my apartment complex has more people than a 5 sq. mile radius of that town.

Not knocking progression but I've noticed that trend with Sprint. Sensorly tells of this also

Lovin' some Spark porn...lol

Can't wait to post some b26 porn. One of these millennia it'll roll around orlando. Either that or I'll become premier sponsor somehow and find some in orlando if there are any and go test it out, or build a house right next to it. LOL!

Looks like those of us in the southeastern part of the market will have to wait until after July to get our B26/800Mhz love....

:( Well that just sucks. I haven't seen any in orlando yet so you're not missing out on anything ;)

awwww Yissssss.

Location was Altamonte on I-4 @ the I-4-Eye-Sore aka between 436 and 434.

LTE was on and off in the area for me. Could've been a CSFB slight issue or just something I haven't paid much attention to before. Especially since the G2 is my first CSFB device (if the iPhone 5 didn't count). . .

Wishing for 1x800 advanced more than 800LTE. I find myself needing to use calling/sms in fringes more than data (your personal preference may And most likely will vary from mine).

And side tracked but important to me, what's Sprint main roaming partner in our market? Always curious to know because when I'm on a call while roaming onto MetroPCS text will not send with an active call. This has been true for the S4 and HTCOne I've had and now my G2 as well.

I rarely see Signal Check say Verizon when roaming but if it does and I make a call, text send immediately. Anyone else experience this? Or willing to help me figure if it's just been my phones the whole time?

It does. Data is much more important to me thanks to iMessage. Otherwise, I would be in your boat. Everything else you asked about not sure.

I saw a guy working on the tower behind the intramural soccer fields at UCF yesterday (Alafaya and Research Pkwy). I am not sure who the tower belongs to, there is not a lot of equipment on it but he was definitely working on cell antennas.
