Wow LTE speeds improved here inside my place where I live. I ran speedtest like 10 times and I'm averaging these speeds. I'm very close to the tower on SW 128th st and turnpike. LTE is now constant here. Might prefer to stay connected to LTE instead of my 20mbps wifi speeds lol. Maybe a site closer to you went live, that's the more likely scenario. It's possible the site you speak of wasn't actually active, and now it is.

 

As for WiFi, what can you do with 30Mbps that you can't do with 20Mbps? If your WiFi is that good, I would stick with that if you are at home. Better for your phone, and the network.

Yeah I know I agree. Just excited and glad finally good sprint data network... LTE is finally here ill be nice and stay on wifi at home and my business office

I used LTE at home and everywhere for a little while in KC when it first launched, but fell back on WiFi once it was no longer cool, lol.

ah thanks. I just feel like sprint is always behind the game. When Verizon came out with LTE they were just promoting wimax and setting it up all across USA. Now their jumping on the LTE bandwagon and yet again setting up towers!

They definitely are behind. About 2 years or so from Verizon. But they aren't much behind AT&T, and they are ahead of T-Mobile. And they were the first to market with 4G with WiMax. You can't win them all. And I wouldn't call LTE a bandwagon. It is the standard now, and they don't have a choice. They are not doing it for popularity sake, but rather necessity.

Yes, given my role, I tend to think nationally. However, people tend to think myopically and only of their personal impact. That's why we so often hear around here, "Why are they working in a town in Texas, but not my city here??? Surely we are more important than that town."

Waco, Texas was a FIT. It makes more sense to do a FIT in a market like Waco than in a place like Miami. Waco has one of the lowest percentage of Sprint customers, as I understand it. And it was also nearby other areas they were starting, like Dallas. They will negatively impact a much smaller number of customers in Waco while they do their testing than a place like Miami.

 

So, no, I would not have started with Miami as a FIT, either. I would have started in Waco, just like they did. Since you asked me my opinion.

emerald hills area of hollywood. Theres been LTE on Sheridan and southward towards Hollywood Blvd. and northward around Griffin to the airport but never in between. Today I finally got driving around my neighborhood. Around 8 mbps dl. But as usual, literally as soon as I entered a Winn Dixie and my house, the 4G was gone and back to 3G. Still haven't been able to connect to 4G inside a building. One step at a time

 

The only inside LTE I get is at one place so far at a friends house in West Park in her room near the window, but its only 1-2 bars and every time I get it it keeps switching from 3G to LTE every few minutes. But its so bad that LTE is going slower then dial-up internet from 1995 and it even changed my phones time it picks up from the network to 5:16pm when it was 8:30pm and it never went back to the correct time until I went outside her house. So to be honest your not really missing anything as of now with inside LTE and it is better that your not picking up inside LTE yet

All I can say is I am glad I did not switch carriers, LTE is coming alive all over the place and at home in West Kendall near the Hammocks its been great for a week!

I live in Kendall too. This whole week I've been getting LTE pretty much all of west Kendall.
