  1. It installed and worked without rebooting, but I rebooted a few minutes after just in case. Question... Is there supposed to be a new icon for Calling Plus besides WiFi Calling or does it replace it? I still have the WiFi Calling icon, even though when clicked it takes me to the Calling Plus setting. TS
  2. Drilling down to a specific area from a bigger market view analysis would be troublesome. It will bring folks more ammunition to complain that their area isn't getting being spent on more. TS
  3. Interesting, if I set the server to NYC I get the following... Dnload: 5.48 Mbps Upload: 3.03 Mbps Ping...: 34ms If I switch to Utica, NY server I get.. Dnload: 38.10 Mbps Upload: 8.40 Mbps Ping....: 41 ms This is of course running the test out in the boro of Queens near Queens Hospital. TS out
  4. Softbank invested 1 billion into OneWeb (thus owning half of it) and although the proposed merger with Intelsat collapsed last month, OneWeb plans on going forward with their satellite plans. Buying Dish may fall into play not only with the spectrum that Dish holds but also with OneWeb plans of bringing service to rural and unserved areas around the world. Thus, Grabbing Dish, a share deal with Charter/Comcast, buyout of T-Mobile, then a total buyout of Charter/Comcast. (not necessarily in that order) and this all falls nicely into the World Domination plans of Masa. muwhahahahahaha Sorry about that, I was channeling him for a moment. lol
  5. That Sprint stock may not hold up long (pardon the pun) since every time Masa/Softbank opens its mouth to spit out another merger rumor, and it is printed by the media, the stock goes back down for Sprint but increases for the other party. In todays' rumor, it seems it is thinking of doing the Sprint/Dish route. Nikkei report
  6. Hmmm, interesting that Softbank would control the new company being formed if the proposed merger goes through between Charter and Sprint.

  8. I doubt you will get an okay. S4GRU is copyrighted by Robert and that cell tower next to it is patented by AJ. All joking aside, i actually did this over at Android Forums a few years back. There was an HTC event being held in NYC and a group of the mods wanted to go to it, so I made a design and put it up on Cafepress I think, a few mods bought them and we went to represent the forum at the event. Now if I find a way to sneak into the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 event, then I'll be wearing a t- shirt with S4GRU. lol
  9. Been busy with work which is why I didn't post about it earlier, but yeah I heard that as well. These manufacturers need to get their act together. Samsung makes alot of the components that are used in other brands and it should be much lower for them (price wise) to put in their own phones. To try to match or surpass the price of an iPhone is just being greedy. I also agree with you that with the fiasco they had last time with the Note 7, they should try to sell it at a much lower price thus beat the competition (even though there isn't a real stylus competitor out there).. Speaking of which, <incoming rant) I wish Google would get its head out of its ass and produce a real Nexus/Pixel like device that incorporates everything that Android can do including stylus support, sd card etc. Sell it at a much lower price and give not only consumers a choice but also give Samsung a run for its money. But nope, they won't. It's a reason why I don't buy their phones. The idea of fast/faster updates and untainted pure OS is nice, but the devices have underlying code that can support these things and yet they refuse to do it. <rant over> As much as I love the Note series and find it very useful for both work and play, I can't justify spending over $2000 (for 2 of them). I'll wait till mid year when the price goes down or a good sale. TS out (robbing a bank)
  10. I did, but I had a severe case of "I want a new phone" bug that hits me ever so often. TS out (finding bug spray)
  11. Shouldn't that be drove from East to West or West to East.
  12. Its on my S8+, but if you open it, just make sure that 1-it is not enabled as well as 2-in the warning Options ,to turn it off. TS
  13. That's the color I would have love to get a month ago when I had to get a new phone when my S7 kissed the concrete floor. TS
  14. The funny thing is that when I went inside the store the guy was dressed in your typical Verizon outfit/uniform and this was the convo between us as I was taking pics inside the store... TTP guy "Can I help you with anything?" Me: "Oh, no thanks, I'm just checking the place. Great marketing btw". TTP guy: "What do you mean" (at this point i caught that he was staying in character) lol me: "I like the look. How long are you going to be open till." (knowing its only for a day) TTP guy: "For as long as the customers keep coming in. Hopefully I can pass the business down to my kids" me: I start laughing like crazy TTP guy: Are you okay. me: "Yeah" barely audible since I'm still laughing. then outside, one of the Sprint folks/marketer took my pic and asked me to sign the form that said I may show up in future advertising as a background. I should have held up a sign saying "S4GRU WAS HERE" when he took my pic lol I guess Guenther got there after I had left the place. I would have love to met him. TS out
