I thought I saw somewhere that it mentioned that the Note 8 was shipping out the 5th of Sept to customers. My order form / email states my two notes and a return kit to send back my S8+, but no estimated date of shipment. But tonight I got an email from Sprint saying that they just shipped out the return kit for my S8+ to return back. I thought they usually do that the same day that they ship you your new device. So if true, then I wonder if that means the Note 8 is also shipped.. if true, then... its coming,
If not, then I guess Sprint wants me to get the return kit before getting the Notes.
Just checked with sprint. They can neither confirm or deny that the phones are also shipped with the kit.

I agree. I have a big problem with a corporate overlord overtly "influencing" me. Seems like giving into hive mentality which all Sci fi movies warn against...
Resistance is futile, you will be assimilated (eventually).

With just one week left to go before the Note 8 starts shipping to customers, has anyone bought accessories for it like screen protectors, cases, etc?

My money is on Marcelo.
You would think due to the size. But remember, in a stadium ring, there are very bright lights. The light will bounce off Legeres' huge forehead and may blind Marcelo enough for Legere to sucker punch him into a knockout. lol

It was mentioned a few posts back. When you get your new Note, you then go to Samsung site to register it and choose your promo deal.

I should be awarded something else I think...because I actually called into telesales and spoke with them (for 45+ minutes) to get the deal that I got. I gotta say, the language barrier is HORRIBLE... It was beyond misery to try and understand / speak with the rep..
I did manage to get it done though. Aside from the huge account issue and not being able to verify since they can't send a text to ANY of my 8-10 devices...
also got the $30 act/per phone waived...so I did pretty good I think.
I was "told"...that my current Note 5 (on lease since release) was buyout for $1.04 .........and my wife's Note 5, also on lease since release, was buyout for $30.36...
So I kept both. But I am not sure that's accurate, and since I can't login, I am unable to see my device balances...
I don't know if/when they will get this fixed, but i hope that it's done soon. I don't want to drive an hour away just to sign the ToS/Lease...
She also told me shipping could start as early as Sept 5...
I should receive between 9/5 and 9/15.
I went that route as well. Usually I do any buy or upgrade online, but I still had $198 left on the lease for the S8+ I bought 2 months ago. I didn't want to do it all at once online and called Sprint to pay off the lease, to then order the phones later on in the week online.
So I call and I usually have a quick and easy pleasant encounter, but this time wow. I was bounce between depts and finally got a good rep. Although, the language barrier was a bit hard, we both made do and she was nice and got everything done. She waived the $30 activation fee due to being a long time user (whether that is true I wouldn't know), but they are waiving it anyway if one does it online or via call sales. The terms are like yours, $40 but 20 credit every month for each phone I bought. And they start shipping on the 5th, although historically its always been a day or two earlier. I was sent the contract to sign and everything was done.
One thing I did noticed with the phone order was that she kept pushing for more family members to get a new phone and or tablets. After the transaction was done, I realized that I never discussed with her anything about the extra bonus gifts (SD card and wireless charger, etc). So I don't know if they are included with the order. I'll do a chat to see if it was included or not.
Edit: found out one has to register the phone once we get it and thats when you pick which bonus offer to get.

This is not the first time Google has done this and in fact Nestle took full advantage of the KitKat marketing to offer Android Play promotion codes. Who knows if sales of KitKat went up because of these promotions. Google will have not problem paying Nabisco to use the Oreo name.
Oh I'm sure Kitkat sales went through the roof, especially since my waistline also went through the roof buying and eating so many kitkats when they had that Nexus 7 device promotion. If they do something similar with the Oreo, then lord help me I may end up in a coma. lol

It installed and worked without rebooting, but I rebooted a few minutes after just in case.
Question...
Is there supposed to be a new icon for Calling Plus besides WiFi Calling or does it replace it? I still have the WiFi Calling icon, even though when clicked it takes me to the Calling Plus setting.

interesting that the unlocked version is cheaper than the Sprint version.

Drilling down to a specific area from a bigger market view analysis would be troublesome. It will bring folks more ammunition to complain that their area isn't getting being spent on more.

Interesting, if I set the server to NYC I get the following...
Dnload: 5.48 Mbps
Upload: 3.03 Mbps
Ping...: 34ms
If I switch to Utica, NY server I get..
Dnload: 38.10 Mbps
Upload: 8.40 Mbps
Ping....: 41 ms
This is of course running the test out in the boro of Queens near Queens Hospital.

Softbank invested 1 billion into OneWeb (thus owning half of it) and although the proposed merger with Intelsat collapsed last month, OneWeb plans on going forward with their satellite plans. Buying Dish may fall into play not only with the spectrum that Dish holds but also with OneWeb plans of bringing service to rural and unserved areas around the world.
Thus,
Grabbing Dish, a share deal with Charter/Comcast, buyout of T-Mobile, then a total buyout of Charter/Comcast. (not necessarily in that order) and this all falls nicely into the World Domination plans of Masa. muwhahahahahaha
Sorry about that, I was channeling him for a moment. lol

That Sprint stock may not hold up long (pardon the pun) since every time Masa/Softbank opens its mouth to spit out another merger rumor, and it is printed by the media, the stock goes back down for Sprint but increases for the other party. In todays' rumor, it seems it is thinking of doing the Sprint/Dish route.

Once I get a date it comes in. I will have to make sure I take that day off from work to make sure to get it as well.
