  1. Actualy the Title isn't that self explanatory as you claim. The title states "S4GRU members Average Monthly Data Usage" That can be viewed as per line or per account. Plus your intial post states "This poll post here is that I'm hoping will help start a discussion of data usage habits and such, while it also would be interesting to see how much data Sprint gets through its network from people on this site." That to me is not asking data per line but how much data (thereby indicating all data from all lines) from the account holder going through Sprint. As for this statement... One does not have to have long (novel-like) posts to outlined their points or agenda. A simple paragraph can spell out the specific details in this case. As for complaints about long posts, these are mainly from fellow members. Staff then intervenes and followup on them. TS
  2. Opps, sorry for introducing the contaminated virus in the poll. I took it as total. My bad. TS
  3. I've kept a spreadsheet of data usage since 2010 and looking over the stats, the most I've used was back in Oct-Nov 2014 where I used a total of 31.5GB between 5 devices (4 phones and 1 hotspot). Year 2010 Avg was 6GB per month (on SERO) Year 2011 Avg was 7GB per month (on SERO) Year 2012 Avg was 10GB per month (Everything Plus) Year 2013 Avg was 11GB per month (Everything Plus) Year 2014 Avg was 17GB per month (Everything Plus Jan 2010 thru Aug 2014) Year 2015 Avg was 20GB per month (3 months) 60GB Family Share plan Sep to present) Mind you, I signed up for the 30GB Family share plan and got bumped up to 60 with a promotion they did. I also go on Wifi once I am home, TS
  4. Didn't someone said the same thing when a tech blogger proposed that Google buy Motorola or Nokia about a year or two before it actually happened. Never say Never. Crazier things have happened. TS
  5. Like he would miss any opportunity for a video reply. lol
  6. Damn, I knew I forgot to do something while I was there Friday. I didn't check the signals. Was too busy taking pics and throwing uncontrollable kids out of cars and giving their parents the evil eye. Give that man a cookie (or a drumstick) So yeah, 1st language, English, second language Spanish, third language (about to over take the 1st) is cursing in German. Which is what I was doing when I saw that big ass screenshot. TS
  7. What's "no bueno" is that supersize screenshot. Can you possibly make it a bit bigger so it can cover my 3 monitor display.
  8. lol, I feel dirty actually liking a T-Mobile commercial, but have to admit, I like that one lol TS
  9. I find your lack of faith disturbing. Of course it is, actually two. but one is with real bits of chicken. TS
  10. Yep, another trip around the sun people. lets all wish Robert a Happy Birthday. Cake in the lounge. TS
  11. Interesting read. In one of his passages and how he talks about Beckman it's no wonder that Beckman doesn't want to do talk to the reporter. It seems that he is trying to did up some dirt on both Bechman and Claure. TS
  12. If what the AndroidandMe website says is true, then this new "Uh Oh Protection" about to be unveiled today at the "Uh Oh" event is very nice. HTC unveils Uh Oh Protection for the One M9 and select One M8s. Opinions.. TS
  13. Pretty amazing that stat for Robert. Now imagine if he just put down that chicken wing and actually use both hands to type faster. He would get way more likes. But I guess you just can't fight nature. TS
  14. No I did not do a speed test and I can't do one now since I left my Note at home and just have the Flex 2 with me. But I'll do one soon enough. TS
  15. I've heard numerous complaints about call quality and dropped calls before, but never experienced it until recently. If there was one thing I learned about the Note 4/Edge recently is that the call quality/durability sucked. Mind you, I never noticed it before since I hardly ever call. I'm mostly data consuming, texting, etc. And when I did call, it was very brief. But when i was trying to get the LG G Flex 2 activated and on my family plan i had to call in to support to get it done since the ID was not in the system yet. I used my Note Edge at first , I was on the phone numerous times for hours and not because the process took long, but because the call would drop continuously (and usually at the worst time just when they were about to get it done). I switched over to the Note 4 and the same thing. I don't know if an software update would fix it or not, but if it is fixable via an update, knowing that this update has not fixed it is disappointing. TS
  16. The device only came out in Oct last year, so it is only been 6 months. So a 2nd generation would be at the end of this year around the same time. But that depends if it was a success. If it wasn't then the only one that can be blamed is Sharp. They should have release the device with the specs the overseas one had, then it could have been a contender. The bezel less format and the screen as a speaker were sure fire hits, but that alone may not have cut it to be a success. I guess we'll see in about 6 months. TS
  17. I use an app "QuickShortcutMaker" from the play store that creates shortcuts to certain settings instead of going thru the usual layers to get to the setting. After you download the app, click and hold anywhere on your home screen, click on Shortcuts, select Activities QuickSortcutMaker, click on Activities tab (if not already there), scroll down to Settings, click on it to open up the sub-list, scroll down within Settings to Battery (there are a few in there) and look for the one that is com.android.settings.fuelgauge.PowerUsageSummary do the same for Settings Data Usage. where underneath it it states... com.android.settings.Settings$DataUsageSummaryActivity
  18. I expect a 10 page report on my desk in the morning. TS out
  19. Not really. I installed AnTuTu Benchmark and ran it and it felt warmer. I also ran the benchmark on the Note Edge and that felt warmer than the Flex 2. They both got warmer but not to the point of too warm or hot and yet the Flex 2 was also running the Hotspot. Incidentally the AnTuTu results had the Flex 2 at 45114 with the Note 4 and Meizu MX4 beating it and the Note Edge was lower at 42705. (Flex on left, Note Edge on right.) Also of note, I cannot tell if it is the CPU, the battery or the enhancements in Lollipop, but running the Hotspot, a benchmark test and watching a video at the same time plus Bluetooth and NFC are on at the same time does drain the battery quicker than usual. I ran the same setupon the Note Edge and that was draining faster. Started both fresh at 100% battery this morning and right now after the test, I am at 77% on the Flex 2 and 57% on the Note Edge. TS
  20. No, only technical articles go up on the wall. This is a personal review so it belongs in the general pop areas. Someone else may do a review that outlines the CPU, speed and game usage, and that review will also go into the general pop areas as well, not in the Wall. Speaking of game usage, I don't game so I didn't do any game/lag tests in that regard, so I don't know if gaming would introduce any lag, but I did not find any with the stuff I normally do with a phone. Again, I was impressed with the device. TS
  21. my thoughts on the device here. TS
