  1. I've had it in dbm for months now, just wishing I could get each individual band to show, not just one.
  2. So basically at this point, it can be gathered from this thread that: HD-Voice can work on 1x 800Mhz or 1x 1900Mhz HD-Voice functions on iPhone 5+. Lingering questions I have: Does it require new antennas, can it work on legacy hardware? Is it functional between two markets? Or is it really a regional thing? (One market can have it turned on while another market 10 miles away with the same vendor's hardware will not?)
  3. Already have it, just wishing a tweak existed to pretty much throw it all up next to the clock :-( Probably not a whole lot of iOS developers interested in this, unfortunately.
  4. Is there a jailbreak tweak that allows me to see the signal strength of 1x, 3G, and LTE in the upper deck? Similar to Android phones with SignalCheck installed...
  5. A few days ago there was a technician walking around the top of a Sprint-only tower in Endwell. It's been LTE/3G accepted for months now, could he have been hooking up the 800Mhz gear perhaps? It's not broadcasting, but maybe he was getting it ready for 800 1x/LTE soon?
  6. Pretty sure you don't need to buy an iPad from Sprint in order to use it on their network. The plans are all activated through the devices - at least that's how my Verizon iPad 2 was. If you get a Sprint SIM, it should work. All of the new iPads are unlocked.
  7. I've always been curious as to exactly how much coverage Verizon has, based on their site placement. Are there resources like S4GRU out there for other carriers, specifically VZW? Whenever I see a "hole" in Sprint's coverage on the sponsor maps, I wonder if Verizon has a few sites out in the boonies that would serve potential customers there. Tracking T-Mobile and AT&T would be interesting too if anyone knows of a source for those sites, but Verizon has been piquing my interest as of late. I've already used things like Sensorly to view user sourced content, and have checked each carrier's vague coverage maps. I'd really like to see actual site placement though if it was possible. (I'd never, ever switch since my Sprint coverage is fine, just curious)
  8. Wow, Scranton really got lit up with the last update too. From almost no sites, to probably almost all of the sites getting 3G accepted! Death to 1x only!! This is going to make my commute down to Allentown a whole lot nicer :-)
  9. I think that the issue with this was previously that Apple didn't make the APIs necessary for Sensorly public. So even with a jailbreak, the information that Sensorly needs just isn't available.
  10. The app hasn't been updated for 7 yet. But it does indeed function.
  11. I'll attest to LTE helping. My 5S was a beast compared to my 4S, and the 5C seems just as good as the 5S too. After 12 hours of use, I had 55% left the other day.
  12. That screenshot was taken on my 5C running 7.0.4 earlier :-)
  13. Signal 2 works for seeing what LTE band you're on once jailbroken. I had it on my 4S, but it wasn't as useful since that phone doesn't have LTE. This is way easier than having to type in the code for the engineering screen now. Is there a way to make shortcuts to Field Test mode on the iPhone when it is jailbroken? iPhone 5C:
  14. *Their (Sorry had to!) Just cool down, he wasn't calling you uneducated. Just saying you need to spend some more time on the site and educate yourself on Sprint's entire Network Vision upgrade.
  15. Bump, haven't been able to find anything on this either... (And does it require 1x800? Or just an NV upgraded site?)
  16. The tower right off the highway near Colesville road appears to be broadcasting LTE. Very nice to have, kind of like a "Welcome to NY!" greeting coming up from PA.
  17. It's really all about what markets you'll be using your phone in, as said above. For me, I'm on an "every two octobers" upgrade cycle. I just used my 2 year upgrade on a 5S. In two years from now, TD-LTE will probably JUST be getting turned on in my home area, or it will have been around for a few months already. I'm not missing out on much. 800Mhz LTE is really what's going to make Sprint's LTE coverage great. The fact that the 5S supports this band makes it a no brainer, since I'm assuming it'll be flipped on here in about a year.. hopefully even Summer '14. TD-LTE won't have the coverage or penetration of 800 or 1900Mhz, so keep that in mind if you primarily use your cellular connection indoors. If so, you probably won't even notice it if you had a Tri-Band phone.
  18. Endwell/Endicott is happily chugging along on LTE. The megatower on Skye Island drive is now LTE, broadcasting on both sides of the mountain.
  19. Anyone know what carrier this might be for?
  20. Nice! I just went out for a drive and confirmed it's the 333 Hooper site. Got 26Mbps down and 6Mbps up on Hooper near M&T bank. Once the Skye Island Dr. site gets new backhaul I'm sure the speeds will be more consistent around here. Skye Island speeds on 3G are absolutely dreadful even when parked near the base, it's completely overloaded. New panels, but no backhaul yet.
  21. Endicott NY seems to have another tower live. Could be Skye Island drive or 333 Hooper. Just got a faint LTE signal at my house in Endwell! Excited
  22. Makes sense. I guess the extremes of data use are just a matter if they'd catch you at that point... And they should since we all suffer in the long run for it.
  23. Say someone were to run Netflix 24/7 on their LTE phone, solely for the purpose of being a data-troll. Sprint is allowed intervention at that point, right? (Maybe at the 50-75Gb point?)
  24. Girlfriend lives in Bethlehem, one block away from an LTE antenna pointing straight into the apartment. It's great.
