  1. Could you allow more permissions through adb commands? Doesn't require root. Sent from my SM-G930P using Tapatalk
  2. it will. I tried to temp change to a Galaxy Prime and Sprint's website warned me international services would be removed. I backed out!
  3. Maybe part of the results of PCMag was the S8.. But I wonder why isn't Sprint thoroughly testing devices in their network to make sure they are always hanging on to B41 the best they can? The issue with the S8 has been known for a while to S4GRU owners but not Sprint? I guess it doesn't surprise me because it seemed like the HTC Bolt (which seemed to be billed as the Sprint device to get) wasn't anything special network wise. Sadly the summary of the article is correct probably. Besides in each city they certainly were getting 2-3 CA B41 results at times.
  4. https://www.reddit.com/r/Sprint/comments/6d561u/volte_trials/ Apparently VOLTE is going into trial??
  5. https://www.reddit.com/r/GalaxyS7/comments/6bknq3/android_os_was_draining_my_battery_a_lot_i/ That would be funny if turning off one of N's improvements helps battery life.
  6. Bands B41 with 2CA, 3CA, 4CA Carrier Aggregation Looking at the specs of the new HTC U11.. 4xCA?

    HTC U Ultra

Turns out the HTC U11 is launching on Sprint first. Any interest? $650 on their website. Obviously with the side touch features it is not a phone that works well with a case.
  8. Maybe the new update includes a battery drain feature to help you to upgrade to the S8 I'm going to try Facebook Lite again. Why does Facebook need two installer/update apps in addition to Facebook+Messenger??
  9. It is a hardware issue, apparently with the cable/plug it goes into for the LCD. Only affects the S7 Edge.
  10. I would probably do this if I didn't mind giving up WiFi calling
  11. Does the S7 have a different implementation of WiFi calling vs. older devices? I know on my Note 4 my phone radio was off when connected, the S7 still shows network signal. Also, while I'll miss my Note 4, it seems the S7 holds on to fringe LTE better (and obviously the CA B41 helps in performance, too)
  12. The S7, as long as it was unlocked by Sprint, could be flashed to any other carrier ROM without tripping KNOX (even the carrier neutral ROM). So it might be the same here.
  13. https://support.sprint.com/support/article/FAQs_about_Sprint_Open_World/c9524b36-bae5-48ce-95ec-f4c536df8e30?ECID=vanity:openworld Open World is now discontinued. Better hold on to it while you can if you prefer that. Though $25/week for most areas might be better. https://support.sprint.com/support/article/FAQs_about_Sprint_Global_Roaming/8fc1976f-831b-44a4-ab93-d1b3c36c39a3 Still 2G and has day passes for high speed
  14. FYI: Appears the G6 has a very fragile camera lens. You'd think they would have learned from the V20 reports https://www.reddit.com/r/tmobile/comments/63477t/jod_cracked_lg_g6/
  15. Hopefully some camera fixes. There's a long picture thread on Android Central and some are having inconsistent results, and might even be from different software levels across carriers.
  16. Big announcement today! (AFJ) https://www.reddit.com/r/Sprint/comments/62rnyb/sprints_g%C3%BCnther_ottendorfer_announces_successful/
  17. Wonder if the S8 then would work with Sprint wifi calling, because we all know how "special" that is.
  18. Or they are bragging that you get free AAA membership with Sprint service.
  19. Yeah that is something that concerns me about buying a phone with a non-replaceable battery.
  20. I assume it is a hardware issue.. anyone's Note 4 acting up recently? Even with a hardware reset and ODIN reflash it still is rebooting/freezing. Guess I'll be going to my wife's old S5 for now until I get a replacement. Yes I have a new battery and SD card removed so those as a possibility are eliminated
  21. It sounds like the once very good Note 5 is now meh network performance wise to consider a used one? My Note 4 is failing even with factory reset/ODIN so it apparently is time to move on unfortunately.
  22. It can happen. A good example probably is the Note 4 and the Note Edge. Note 4 doesn't have CA because Samsung wanted to get that out first and the chipset was in shorter supply. Edge is basically the same phone but received CA having been released a month or so later.
  23. http://www.fiercewireless.com/tech/t-mobile-cfo-covering-remaining-lte-coverage-gap-big-priority Me being in WI, this I'm sure is part of it, but they can't unless they get in bed in USCC
  24. Now hopefully Sprint will offer deals to existing customers for the newer HPUE devices... They have to realize going to another carrier is a consideration not only for plan price but deals on phones, too.
